Abstract

Un procedimiento mejorado de desalinación de agua que comprende evaporar y condensar agua que contiene sales inorgánicas, siendo controlada, la precipitación de dichas sales por la presencia de un terpolímero que consiste en 30 a 55% en moles de anhidrido maleico, 30 a 65% en moles de acrilamida o metacrilamida y 5 a 15% en moles de un tercer monómero seleccionado del grupo que consiste en estireno, alfametil-estireno, acrilato dé alcohilo o metacrilato de alcohilo que tiene de 1 a 8 átomo de carbono en el grupo alcohilo y un 1-alqueno que tiene desde 4 a 10 átomos de carbono, teniendo el terpolímero una viscosidad relativa de aproximadamente 1,02 a 1,10 en sulfóxido de dimetilo a una concentración de 0,5 gramos por decilitro, y una solubilidad de menos de 0,10 gramos por gramo de solución (agua) a temperatura ambiente en una concentración de al menos dos partes por millón, y retiras el agua desalinada así obtenida.
