Abstract
Método de preparar una fibra de aleación alcalina que comprende una matriz de celulosa regenerada y, dispersado en ella, desde alrededor de 5% a alrededor de 30%, basado en el peso de la celulosa, de un aditivo capaz de aumentar la capacidad de retención de fluido de la fibra, siendo tal la proporción de aditivo que la capacidad de retención de fluido de la fibra es al menos 4,79 cc/g, teniendo la fibra preferiblemente sobre sí un acabado lubricante parala celulosa, y en la que el único aditivo es una sal de ácido algínico de un metal alcalino, caracterizado por mezclar una cantidad predominante de una viscosa que forma filamentos con la sal de ácido algínico de un metal alcalino, conformar la mezcla en fibras, coagular y regenerar las fibras, aplicar el acabado lubricante a las fibras, si se desea, y secar las fibras en un estado alcalino, reduciéndose el haz de fibras al forma cortada, si se desea, antes de secar.
