Abstract

Un procedimiento para preparar un ciclopropeno, que comprende combinar un compuesto alílico de fórmula **(Fórmula)** en la que X es un grupo saliente y R es hidrógeno o un grupo alquilo, alquenilo, alquinilo, cicloalquilo, cicloalquilalquilo, fenilo o naftilo, sustituido o no sustituido, en el que los sustituyentes son, independientemente, halógeno, alcoxi o fenoxi sustituido o no sustituido, con una base fuerte no nucleófila con un pKa mayor que 35, en un disolvente inerte en presencia de una cantidad catalítica de una base más débil, no nucleófila.
