Description

The present invention relates to a device for securing people against falling, in particular from a roof, comprising a footplate which can be fastened to a subsurface with an attachment point which can be attached to the footplate, comprising either a post projecting upward from this footplate and one arranged in the upper end region of the post Eyelet or an eyelet that can be attached directly to the footplate, in each case for attaching a rope or through the direct connection to a rope system by which the person is secured against falling, with a central area of the footplate in which the post or eyelet with the footplate are connected, around the post or the eyelet along at least one first defined circumferential slot line, which extends over at least 270 ° in the circumferential direction, so that the central region is only connected to the remaining peripheral region of the footplate via narrow material webs.

Fall protection devices of the aforementioned type have long been known from the prior art and are used in particular to secure people who work on flat roofs. Basic requirements for such a fall protection, in particular with regard to its resilience, are specified in DIN EN 795, the content of which is hereby referred to.

A fall protection with a footplate and an upstanding post is also used in the DE 10 2006 041 592 A1 described. In this and similar devices known from the prior art, the upstanding post which stands on the base plate is, for example, a steel tube with an eyelet at the upper end. Fall arrest systems of this type must be designed for two load cases. One load case is the securing of the post against impact if a person working on the roof accidentally hits the post. As a rule, with a lateral impact force of 70 kg, a defined deformation value of 10 mm, for example, must not be exceeded. To be distinguished from this is the second actual load case of fall protection, according to which the device must withstand a transverse force of 1.2 t so that the tensile load that occurs when a person falls from the roof is absorbed by the rope attached to the eyelet.

If you use a post on the base plate as in the known device, the tensile force acts on the post in the transverse direction via the eyelet located at the upper end of the post, which creates a moment, so that there is virtually a leverage effect in the area of the base plate Tear out of the anchoring on the roof substructure.

In the DE 20 2012 102 476 U1 proposes a device for securing people against falling, which is better designed for the loads occurring in the second load case mentioned above. For this purpose, in this known device, the connection between the post and the base plate is designed as a predetermined breaking connection which is released in the event of a fall, a metal cable connection being provided in the interior of the post, by means of which a tensile connection is formed from the eyelet into an anchoring area of the device. With this known solution, the first load case can be covered without further ado, since the post can be designed so that it does not bend more than intended in the requirements in the event of an impact of up to 70 kg, for example. In the second load case mentioned, the plastic post is quasi sacrificed.

If the above-mentioned foot plates, to which the anchor point for the fall protection is attached, are attached to flat roofs with trapezoidal sheets, a particular problem arises. In these cases, the roof structure only consists of two trapezoidal sheets, between which there is an insulating layer, the upper trapezoidal sheet being connected to the insulating layer only by an adhesive connection. If you now screw a footplate onto the upper trapezoidal sheet and in the event of a fall, a torque is introduced into the footplate via the post, a peeling force arises and the trapezoidal sheet, which is only held in place by adhesive, will tear off with the footplate. For this reason, the usual fall protection systems for such flat roof constructions with glued trapezoidal sheets are not permitted.

Various fall protection devices have become known from the prior art, in which an attempt is made in the event of a fall to convert part of the tensile forces acting on the fall protection device into deformation work and thereby virtually slowing down the fall. This is, for example, the case in the EP 2447445 A1 , the CH 704527 A1 and the WO 2009/008706 A2 described facilities the case. In particular in the solution according to the last-mentioned document, the distance of a predetermined breaking line, along which a plate-shaped area is torn off as far as the fastening point, is considerably lengthened. The predetermined breaking line is spiral here.

In the DE 10 2006 041 592 A1 describes a fall protection device in which a rod protruding from a base plate is provided, the base plate being fastened to a trapezoidal sheet metal of the roof structure. When the fall occurs, the footplate extends the lever arm formed by the rod so that an increased torque occurs. This leads to higher forces acting on the roof structure and the trapezoidal sheet metal of the roof structure becoming involved in the event of a crash considerably deformed in a wide area, so that the roof construction then had to be extensively renewed.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device for securing people against falling with the features of the type mentioned in the introduction, in which the lever arm shortens in the event of a fall, the torque is minimized and the damage to the roof structure is avoided or at least considerably reduced become.

The solution to this problem is provided by a device for securing people against falling with the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, it is provided that in addition to the first circumferential slot line extending over approximately 270 ° in the circumferential direction, a further approximately rectilinear slot line is arranged at a distance between the respective ends of the first circumferential slot line, said distance between the first circumferential slot line and the further rectilinear slot line Corresponds to the width of the narrow material webs.

In the second load case mentioned, in which the actual safety function against falling is important, a kind of joint is created along the webs of the plate of the footplate that have remained between the slots, and the central area lying within the circumferential slot line swivels due to that over the post or the eyelet acting lever force with the post attached to this area with from the level of the footplate upwards. The post can lay flat and there is no longer any moment acting on the peripheral area of the footplate. The footplate is therefore not stressed, but remains in its position, so that the trapezoidal sheet connected to the footplate does not come loose. The central region of the footplate which pivots out of the plane with the post is therefore also referred to herein as the pivoting region. Since no more moment is transferred to the footplate, this is no longer levered off the post, as in previous solutions. Rather, only the tensile force caused by the fall acts on the rope connection in the horizontal direction on the peripheral areas of the footplate that have remained or are anchored to the ground / to the roof structure. These are designed for the pulling force according to the requirements (usually 1.2 t lateral force) and cannot tear off.

In comparison to the above-mentioned prior art, the solution according to the invention is based ensure that the post is folded close to the roof surface so that the lever arm that the post forms is not extended by parts of the footplate, which would increase the torque. The post already tears out at its foot, through the predetermined breaking point specified there.

The linear, further slit line narrows the area of the remaining material and creates a joint, so that the tilting of the post around the desired pivot point of this joint is facilitated. The measure according to the invention shortens the lever arm and prevents damage to the roof structure in the event of a fall.

According to a preferred development of the task solution according to the invention, it is provided that at least a second circumferential slot line with a smaller diameter is located at a radial distance within the first defined circumferential slot line, the shape of which is geometrically similar to the first circumferential slot line, but the second circumferential slot line seen in plan view by about 90 ° or about 180 ° to the first circumferential slot line is arranged offset.

Preferably, at least a third circumferential slot line with a smaller diameter is located at a radial distance within the second defined circumferential slot line, the shape of which is geometrically similar to the first circumferential slot line, but the third circumferential slot line seen in plan view in each case by approximately 90 ° or approximately 180 ° to the first circumferential slot line and / or is arranged offset to the second circumferential slot line.

Preferably, at least a fourth circumferential slot line with a smaller diameter is located at a radial distance within the third defined circumferential slot line, the shape of which is geometrically similar to the third circumferential slot line, but the fourth circumferential slot line seen in plan view in each case by approximately 90 ° or approximately 180 ° to the first circumferential slot line and / or is arranged offset to the second circumferential slot line and / or to the third circumferential slot line. In this preferred variant it is thus the case that there are a total of four circumferential slot lines and thus four central areas, which are separated via the circumferential slot line from the peripheral area of the footplate surrounding them. All four circumferential slot lines are located one inside the other and are preferably geometrically similar. Due to the fact that these circumferential slot lines are offset from one another by 90 ° or also by 180 °, there is a swiveling range for any direction in which the force acts in the event of a fall, which swivels up with the folding post and thus the other peripheral Relieved area of the footplate.

It is irrelevant that the areas of the respective swivel areas are of different sizes, since they are located one inside the other. The remaining webs of the footplate between the slots can be approximately the same length for all four swivel areas despite the differently long circumferential slot lines, so that it is irrelevant from which direction the force is applied, because the connection between the swivel area swiveling up in the event of a crash and the peripheral region of the footplate remaining in the horizontal plane of the flat roof is therefore of the same strength and can therefore also be loaded to the same extent. If the force is applied with pivoting areas offset by 90 ° to one another from a diagonal direction, that is to say not parallel to one of the outer edges of the footplate, two of the pivoting areas may become effective simultaneously, so that the corresponding relief effect is also achieved here.

The base plate itself is preferably fixed in a manner known per se to the base by at least one screw connection or rivet connection. When the second load case (fall) occurs, the tensile force is introduced directly into the connections of the footplate via the safety rope and the metal rope connection. The metal cable connection can comprise, for example, a stainless steel cable. This is corrosion-resistant and with a diameter of 6 mm, for example, can easily withstand the required tensile force of more than one ton.

A preferred development of the present invention provides that the second circumferential slot line and / or the third circumferential slot line is each assigned a further approximately linear slot line, which is in each case arranged at a distance between the respective ends of the respective circumferential slot line, the stated distance between the respective ends the respective circumferential slot line and the respective rectilinear slot line each correspond to the width of the remaining narrow material webs. Thus there is a separation in the area of the circumferential slot line and in the area of the straight slot line, so that the connection between the swivel area and the peripheral area remaining in the plane of the base plate is only provided by the narrow material webs in the case of load. However, these are designed so that they can absorb the tensile forces that occur.

Of course, the material thickness of the footplate plays a role here, which is preferably in the range from about 1 to 8 mm, for example in the range from about 3 to 5 mm.

According to a preferred development of the present invention, the first and / or the second and / or the third and / or the fourth circumferential slot line have approximately the outline shape of the Greek letter Omega.

Furthermore, it is preferred that the outline shape of the first and / or the second and / or the third and / or the fourth circumferential slot line is defined by a sequence of straight-line sections, which are each arranged at an angle to one another, in accordance with the rules of the Mohr circuit. This outline shape has proven to be particularly advantageous based on tests. The aforementioned outline shape similar to an omega thus does not consist of a curve line in this case, but of a plurality of straight-line sections which are at an angle to one another, but this shape is approximated overall of the outline shape of an omega.

In the context of the present invention, the introduction of the circumferential slot lines and the straight slot lines into the base plate can preferably be carried out by means of a laser beam or high-pressure water jet. This method makes it possible to produce a very precise outline shape of the slot line with a very small slot width, and it is also possible to cut through a sheet of the base plate which is several mm thick without any problems. The slot width can be, for example, only a fraction of a millimeter, although the slot must not be too narrow, so that the pivoting range can be swiveled up easily in the event of a load and there is no jamming in the slot area.

The footplate of the fall protection is usually screwed or riveted to the roof structure, i.e. to the trapezoidal sheet. The post or the eyelet of the fall protection in turn are preferably screwed to the footplate. For this purpose, for example, the post or the eyelet can have an external thread in an end region facing the roof construction, and the post or the eyelet can then be fixed to the footplate by means of a nut which can be screwed onto this external thread.

The features mentioned in the subclaims relate to preferred developments of the task solution according to the invention. Further advantages of the invention result from the following detailed description.

Below is first on Figure 1 Referred. This shows a schematically simplified view of part of a fall protection device according to the invention. This includes a base plate 10, for example, which is approximately rectangular, but partially rounded, in outline, which is connected to a trapezoidal sheet of the roof structure, not shown here, for example by screws. For this purpose, the base plate has screw screws arranged in rows in the outer edge regions, for example or rivet holes 11. In this way, such a footplate 10 of the fall arrest device is firmly connected to a trapezoidal sheet. The base plate 10 is, for example, an approximately 3 mm to 4 mm thick sheet made of stainless steel. In the middle of the footplate 10 there is a through hole 12 in the innermost pivoting area, through which a screw thread attached to the lower end of a post of the fall protection device can be inserted, so that the post on the footplate 10 can be placed on a counter nut on the underside of the footplate can screw tight.

In Figure 1 the innermost swivel area 13 is shown in the swiveled-up position in order to illustrate the function of the fall protection. This swiveled-up position is achieved when the post is subjected to a tensile force acting on its upper end in the event of a load, so that there is a leverage force which causes the post to fold into an approximately horizontal position. This is made possible by the fact that the lower end of the post is fixed on the footplate 10 in the region of the through hole 12. If the leverage now acts from a certain direction, according to the illustration Figure 1 parallel to the longitudinal edges 14 of the base plate, then the innermost swivel area 13 is subjected to bending and swivels up into the in Figure 1 position shown, where the post itself is not shown here for reasons of better clarity. This swiveling up is possible in that the innermost swiveling region 13 is separated from the rest of the foot plate 10 by a circumferential slot line 13 a, which can be seen better in FIG. 2 and which extends over the largest part of the circumference, for example over a good 270 ° . Consequently, the innermost pivot area 13 is only over a comparatively narrow material web 13 b (see Figure 2 ) is connected to the second innermost swivel area 15.

According to the representation Figure 2 the second innermost swivel area 15 is bent up, which results when the lever force is applied from a direction which is approximately 90 ° to that in FIG Figure 1 explained direction is offset. The second innermost swivel area 15 is surrounded by a circumferential slot line 15 a, which one in Figure 3 can recognize. Thus, the second innermost swivel area 15 is separated over a wide area from the third swivel area 16 surrounding it. Unlike the innermost swivel area 13, there is an additional rectilinear slot line 15 c, which runs in the lower area between the two legs of the omega shape of the circumferential slot line 15 a, where these two legs come closest, but on both Sides between the straight slot line 15 c and the circumferential slot line 15 a each a narrow web 15 b remains. These two material webs virtually form the joint when the post folds and the swivel area 15 is bent open, as shown in FIG Figure 2 is shown.

By comparing the two Figures 2 and 3rd you can see that in Figure 2 the second innermost swivel range 15 swivels when the lever force is applied offset by approximately 90 ° compared to that in FIG Figure 3 shown attack of the lever force, where the lever force takes place approximately parallel to the two transverse edges 17 of the footplate.

In Figure 4 Finally, a pivoting up of the outer pivoting region 18 is shown, which takes place approximately parallel to the two transverse edges 17 of the footplate even when the lever force is applied, but in one compared to Figure 3 opposite (offset by 180 °) direction. In the illustration with the outer pivoting region 18 pivoted up according to FIG Figure 4 a can also be seen well that the third swivel area 16, the second innermost swivel area 15 and the innermost swivel area 13 all lie within the outer swivel area 18, each separated by the circumferential slot lines. Furthermore, it can also be seen that all four circumferential slot lines 18 a, 16 a, 15 a, 13 a each have a geometrically similar shape, namely in the exemplary embodiment approximately the shape of a Greek omega. In the three outer swiveling areas there are also straight lines of slits, which run on the circumferential side on which there is no circumferential slit line, so that ultimately there is a slit line almost all around, interrupted only by the two narrow material webs. You can see in Figure 4a that the two nested circumferential slot lines 16 a and 15 a of the second and third pivoting areas are arranged offset by 90 ° to each other and in turn offset to the outer circumferential slot line 18 a. You can also in Figure 4 a recognize the two straight slot lines 16 c and 15 c of these two swivel areas and you can also see that for the innermost swivel area there is only one circumferential slot line 13 a, since here the remaining web of material between the ends of this circumferential slot line is already comparatively short and as a joint serves the pivoting movement of the innermost pivot region 13.

Figure 4b basically shows the same swivel position as Figure 4 a with the outer pivoting region 18 pivoted up, seen only from a different perspective, so that one can be seen in Figure 4b sees the opening in the base plate 10, which results from the swiveling up of the outer swiveling area when the post is folded in the load case.

Figure 5 shows a pivot position, which results when the attack of the lever force is not exactly from a direction approximately parallel to one of the longitudinal edges 14 or transverse edges 17. In this case, several swivel areas are effective and you can see in Figure 5 that there is at least partial swiveling up of both the innermost swiveling area 13 and the second innermost swiveling area 15 takes place while the two outer pivot areas 16 and 18 have retained their original position in the plane of the foot plate 10.

The following will now focus on the Figures 6 and 6 a referred, each in a perspective view of a foot plate 10 of the type described above, to which a post 20 20 is attached for fall protection. As you can see is in Figure 6 the normal state of use shown, in which the post 20 is vertical. At the upper end of the post 20 there is an eyelet 19 so that, for example, a wire rope for the fall protection can be attached there. The lower end of the post is fixed to the base plate 10, for example screwed on. In the Figure 6 a can be hinted at that the post 20 passes through a central hole in the footplate 10 and is attached to the bottom of the footplate, for example by means of a nut. Figure 6 a shows the state after the load case occurs and it can be seen that the post 20 has been moved into a horizontal position, which is possible because the corresponding pivoting range pivots upward with the lower end of the post due to the tensile force. If the post is in the horizontal position according to Figure 6a , no more moment is exerted on the base plate 10, so that the base plate or the trapezoidal sheet to which it is attached cannot tear out.

The Figures 7 and 7 a also show a perspective view of an alternative design of fall protection, which works according to the same principle of the present invention. In contrast to the variant described above, however, the eyelet 19 is attached directly to the footplate, so that in this case no post is required. You can attach the fall protection directly to the eyelet. The eyelet itself can be fixed to the base plate 10, for example, by means of a threaded section on the underside and a nut by screwing or suitable fastening means. When the load case occurs, a torque initially arises which leads to a pivoting movement of the pivoting range of the footplate 10, the pivoting range with the eyelet in the in FIG Figure 7 a shown relief position pivots. The mode of operation is therefore also the same in this variant as in the previously described exemplary embodiment according to Figure 6 , wherein in the specific example the third swivel range 15 swivels upwards from the outside. The question of which swivel range is effective depends on the respective direction from which the torque attack is taking place.
