Description

Domaine de l'inventionField of the invention

The present invention relates to an oscillating winding mass of a movement of a timepiece with automatic movement. More particularly, the invention relates to such a winding mass intended to equip a wristwatch comprising a transparent case back, said weight being arranged on the side of the case back and allowing the entire movement to be observed at all times.

Arrière-plan de l'inventionBackground of the invention

Wristwatches are already known which have cases with a transparent bottom to allow their movement to be observed. However, when these watches include a self-winding movement, the observation of the movement is always truncated by the presence of the oscillating winding mass which, even perforated, as is the case in so-called "skeleton" watches, prevents a comfortable observation of movement.

To solve this problem, it has been proposed in the patent EP 0 957 414 an oscillating winding mass comprising a heavy part fixed to a connecting member arranged to connect said heavy part to an axis integral with a movement, said connecting member being made of a transparent or translucent material. Such an oscillating winding weight allows observation of the movement it equips without any visible obstacle. However, certain elements of the movement which appear through the oscillating winding weight and the back The transparencies of the watch have their usual metallic appearance, while the rest of the watch can be very colorful. If fixed elements of the frame of the movement can be colored without difficulty, it is not the same for mobile elements of the train, such as the elements of the finishing train, of the escapement or of the oscillator. It is complex to give a color to these mobile elements. Indeed, the application of a colored film for example would not make it possible to guarantee the functionality of these elements which require great precision and the least possible friction to function correctly.

The document WO 2014/122296 describes a timepiece comprising at least one colored transparent stone and a support comprising at least one opening for receiving this colored transparent stone, the support being made of anodized titanium or anodized aluminum. Advantageously, in the room, the coloring of the colored transparent stone is reinforced by that of the support.

Résumé de l'inventionSummary of the invention

The object of the present invention is to remedy the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing an oscillating winding mass for a timepiece making it possible to give the elements of the movement which it equips a color without harming the functionality of these elements.

To this end, the invention relates to an oscillating winding mass for a movement of a timepiece comprising a heavy part fixed to a connecting member intended to connect said heavy part to an axis integral with the movement, said mass being intended to be mounted for rotation on said axis, said connecting member being made of a transparent or translucent material.

According to the invention, said connecting member comprises at least one colored filter, said colored filter consisting of a transparent colored film or translucent deposited on at least part of the surface of the connecting member.

Thanks to this new winding mass structure, it is possible to make the entire movement of the timepiece it equips permanently visible, and to give the visible elements of the movement a colored appearance, of a different color from their real color, which gives the timepiece an improved aesthetic appearance, without compromising the functionality of its elements.

Said color filter can occupy at least part of the surface of the connecting member.

According to an embodiment not forming part of the invention, the colored filter occupies the entire surface of the connecting member and is preferably constituted by a colored component provided in the mass of the transparent or translucent material.

According to another aspect, the invention also relates to a timepiece comprising a case formed of a middle part closed by a crystal and an at least partially transparent back and in which is housed a self-winding timepiece movement, said movement being equipped with an oscillating winding mass as defined above.

Description détaillée d'un mode de réalisation préféréDetailed description of a preferred embodiment

We represented at figures 1 and 2 a first embodiment of an oscillating winding mass according to the invention, designated by the general reference 1. This mass is intended to conventionally equip the automatic winding movement of a timepiece (not shown) and comprising in particular a case formed of a middle part closed by a crystal and an at least partially transparent back to make the movement visible from the back.

The winding mass 1 comprises a heavy part 2 fixed to a connecting member 4 intended to connect the heavy part to an axis (not shown) integral with a clockwork movement, the mass 1 being intended to be mounted for rotation on this axis. For this purpose, the connecting member has in its center an opening 6 in which is driven a ring 8 forming the hub of the mass 1.

In this variant, the connecting member 4 is formed by a solid disc made of a transparent material such as sapphire, which makes it possible to observe the movement through the mass 1. It is recalled that the use of sapphire in a winding mass as a connecting member between the heavy part and the movement goes against the prejudices of the skilled person who, when he has to design a winding mass, always tends to use materials having a large tenacity, that is to say good capacities to absorb the shocks to which the mass is subjected during its rotation. It goes without saying that any other transparent or translucent, synthetic or natural material can be used. For example, a polycarbonate suitable for this application can be used. In all cases, the material must at least allow the passage of light to be able to distinguish the shapes of the elements behind it.

The heavy part 2 comprises a ring 10 which comprises on an arc of a circle of approximately 180 ° an unbalance 12 which is formed by an extra thickness of said ring 10. In the example illustrated, the ring 10 and the unbalance 12 are produced in one piece. Preferably, the heavy part 2 is made of a high density metal, for example, a tungsten alloy. However, it goes without saying that according to a variant, the unbalance 12 can be attached to the ring 10 by any conventional fixing means such as screwing, gluing, crimping, welding or the like. In this case, the ring 10 can be made of an easily machinable material such as steel, and the unbalance 12 of a tungsten alloy. In the example shown, the ring 10 comprises a rebate 14 in which the disc 4 is engaged and glued. However, it goes without saying that according to a variant, this disc 4 can be fixed in the rebate 14 of the ring 10 by any other conventional fixing means such as screwing, riveting or the like. Preferably, the ring 10 has a decoration on its external surface, that is to say visible from the back of the watch. This decoration preferably occupies the entire visible external surface of the ring.

The connecting member 4 can include at least one colored filter 30 which occupies the entire surface of the connecting member 4.

According to another variant of the invention, the color filter may occupy only part of the surface of the connecting member. For example, the colored filter may be in the form of a strip, of a continuous or discontinuous ring, provided on the connecting member substantially at the level of the visible elements of the movement to which it is desired to give a colored appearance, at least temporarily, depending on the rotational movement of the oscillating winding weight.

In a preferred manner not included in the invention, said colored filter 30 may consist of a colored component provided in the mass of the transparent or translucent material. For example, use will be made of a dye, a pigment or a mixture of dyes or pigments, diffused in the mass of the transparent or translucent material. This embodiment will be particularly preferred when the color filter occupies the entire surface of the connecting member.

When the transparent or translucent material is polycarbonate, the mass-dyed connecting member 4 can for example be obtained from a compound comprising polycarbonate, a pigment or a mixture of pigments and a dispersing agent. This compound is then injected to obtain the binding member 4. It is also possible to directly use a pigment in liquid form. Any pigment compatible with the transparent or translucent material to dye it in the mass can be used.

According to another embodiment, the colored filter consists of a transparent or translucent colored film deposited on at least part of the surface of the connecting member 4. Such a film can be a varnish or an ink. It can be deposited on the internal (movement side) or external (bottom side) surface of the connecting member 4. This embodiment can be implemented to form a colored filter which occupies all or part of the surface of the connection. liaison body.

In addition, in a particularly advantageous manner, at least one element of the movement at least partially visible from the bottom of the movement and which can be at least partially seen through the color filter, has a neutral color, for example gray, with a matt effect. This neutral color is chosen so as not to reduce, or reduce as little as possible, the effect of the color filter. Thus, the link member 4 acts as a colored filter and allows to give the illusion that the elements visible from the background of the movement are colored, of a different color from their real color. The invention therefore makes it possible to give the elements visible from the background of the movement a color different from their natural color, without impairing their functionality. Depending on whether the colored filter occupies all or part of the surface of the connecting member, the effect of the colored appearance given to the elements visible from the background of the movement is permanent or temporary but repeated according to the rotational movement of the oscillating winding weight.

To the figure 3 there is shown a second embodiment of an oscillating winding mass 1 according to the invention. In this figure and the following figures, the elements identical to those described in connection with the figures 1 and 2 have been designated by the same reference numerals. It will also be noted that, for reasons of clarity, the ring 8 forming the hub of the mass 1 has been omitted on the figure 3 .

L'organe de liaison 4 est teinté dans la masse afin de former un filtre coloré 30.Unlike the embodiment shown in figures 1 and 2 , the connecting member 4 of this embodiment is formed of a partially hollowed disc also made of sapphire. More precisely, the connecting member 4 comprises a central part 16 provided with the opening 6 and a peripheral ring 18 concentric with the opening 6, the central part 16 being connected to the peripheral ring 18 by three connecting arms 20 The recesses of the disc 4 will advantageously be made using diamond grinding wheels or even using a laser beam. The connecting member 4 is dyed in the mass in order to form a colored filter 30.

To the figure 4 there is shown a third embodiment of an oscillating winding mass 1 according to the invention in which the connecting member 4 is formed of a circular optical magnifying lens tinted in the mass in order to form a colored filter 30. It is shown. It goes without saying that according to variant embodiments, any other type of optical lens can be envisaged. It is possible in particular to provide Fresnel lenses which have the particularity of being flatter than a conventional lens for a given magnification. It would also be possible to envisage using, for these connecting members 4, lenses producing kaleidoscopic effects.

To the figures 5 and 6 there is shown a fourth embodiment of an oscillating winding mass 1 of the invention in which the connecting member 4 is formed of a transparent plate shaped as an angular sector extending over approximately 180 ° and in which the heavy part 2 is formed by a ring part extending to the periphery of the plate 4 on an arc of a circle of about 180 °. The plate 4 is made of sapphire tinted in the mass in order to form a colored filter 30 and further comprises a magnifying optical lens 22 which extends radially from the ring 8 to the ring of the heavy part 2.

To the figure 7 there is shown a fifth embodiment of an oscillating winding mass 1 according to the invention in which the connecting member 4 is formed of a transparent plate tinted in the mass in order to form a colored filter 30, in the form of a angular sector extending over approximately 180 ° and comprising at its periphery a flange 24 folded at an angle. In this embodiment, the heavy part 2 is also formed by a ring part extending over an arc of a circle of approximately 180 ° and fixed by means of screws 26 on the inner face 28 of the rim 24. It will be noted that this embodiment of the winding mass 1 allows, thanks to its folded rim 24, to best adapt to the external shape of the movement that it is intended to equip, it being understood that the rim 24 is folded in the direction of the movement.
