Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a swivel fitting, in particular for adjustment segments on furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention further relates to a piece of furniture with such a swivel fitting.
  • pivot fittings are known in numerous design variants from the prior art.
  • a pivot fitting is known in which two levers can be locked relative to each other via a locking mechanism.
  • Such pivot fittings are used, for example, to attach a backrest, headrest, armrest or footrest pivotably mounted on a body of a piece of furniture to the body of the piece of furniture, in order to fix them in a desired position from a starting position using the pivoting fitting.
  • such a locking fitting can be pivoted further in the adjustment direction, the headrest or armrest locking in the desired position against the adjustment direction and thus resilient is.
  • Such swivel fittings usually have a limited adjustment angle, the maximum adjustment angle defining an upper switching range which is at the end of the possible adjustment path of the swivel fitting.
  • This changeover area serves to be able to reset the swivel fitting back to its initial starting position. If the user accidentally passes the desired position when adjusting the headrest or armrest, he must first swivel the swivel fitting into the upper switchover position, then swivel the swivel fitting back into the starting position and finally swivel it again into the desired locking position.
  • a locking element and a crown are provided on mutually facing sides with a toothing over a full circumference.
  • the locking element and the crown are pressed together by a compression spring.
  • the crown has windows through which the legs of a separating element project in the direction of the locking element, which is positioned on a surface of the crown facing away from the locking element. With the aid of a wedge that can be actuated from the outside, the separating element can be advanced further in the direction of the blocking element, so that the teeth between the blocking element and the crown disengage.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a swivel fitting which, on the one hand, further simplifies such an adjustment process into a desired latching position and which enables an enlarged adjustment range.
  • the object is further achieved by a piece of furniture with such a swivel fitting with the features of claim 10.
  • the swivel fitting according to the invention has a first lever and a second lever, which are pivotably mounted to one another about a common axis.
  • the two levers can be locked relative to each other in a reset direction by means of a ratchet mechanism in different angular positions.
  • the pawl mechanism has a toothing fixed in a rotationally fixed manner on the second lever, a control disk mounted pivotably about the common axis and a latching pawl pivotably mounted on the first lever and loaded in the direction of the toothing, which is in engagement with the toothing in a latching position of the pivot fitting.
  • the catch When the second lever is pivoted by a predetermined angle relative to the first lever, the catch is disengaged from in an adjustment direction the gearing can be brought. When the latch is disengaged from the toothing, the second lever can be pivoted in the reset direction.
  • the ratchet mechanism enables the two levers to be locked and the pivoting movement to be switched from the adjustment direction to the reset direction and vice versa in any angular position relative to one another.
  • the pawl mechanism has a control lever pivotally mounted on the first lever, a toothed control disk, a reactivation element coupled to the latching pawl and a blocking unit.
  • adjustment segments can be locked until they stop against another segment or component of the piece of furniture, since with the swivel fitting according to the invention, a so-called safety distance, which must be maintained for switching over with the swivel fittings known from the prior art, is no longer necessary.
  • a furniture segment for example designed as a headrest or armrest, which is attached to a furniture body via such a swivel fitting
  • a swivel fitting is made possible in a simple and direct manner, since the user can now move the swivel fitting directly in the reset direction without first having to predefine it the upper switching range.
  • pivot fitting according to the invention is characterized in that such pivot fitting can be used for a large number of applications due to the unlimited pivoting of the two levers relative to one another, which results in a 360 ° locking range.
  • the toothed control disk is preferably coupled to the toothing in a rotationally fixed manner in the adjustment direction and blocked in the return direction by the control lever and rotatable relative to the toothing.
  • the control disk can be held by the blocking unit in a position holding the latching pawl out of engagement with the toothing and can be pivoted back into engagement with the toothing by the reactivating element.
  • the blocking unit is designed as a second control lever pivotably mounted on the first lever, which can be coupled to the toothed control disc via a tooth and can be pressed against the latching pawl in the region of its free end in such a way that it comes out of engagement with the toothing.
  • the blocking unit is designed as a Bowden cable coupled to the control disk.
  • the locking in a desired angular position of the two levers relative to one another then takes place by simply pivoting the first lever at a small angle in the adjustment direction.
  • the toothed control disk has radial toothing interacting with the control lever and an axial toothing pressed with a spring element against an axial end face toothing of the toothing.
  • the spring element brings about a constant pressing of the tooth control disc onto the toothing.
  • control disk for the swivel coupling with the latching pawl has a driver knob and a driver tab, with an end of the latching pawl provided with at least one latching tooth being positioned between the driver knobs and the driver tab, whereby an easily producible and reliable coupling of the latching pawl to the Control disc is effected.
  • the reactivation element is designed as a control pawl which is coupled to the latching pawl via a compression spring and is pivotably mounted on the first lever.
  • a stop for example in the form of a bolt, protrudes from an end face of the reactivation element, against which a free end of the control lever can be pressed.
  • top, bottom, left, right, front, rear, etc. refer exclusively to the exemplary representation and position of the swivel fitting, the lever, the pawl mechanism, the toothing, the latching pawl, and the toothed control disk selected in the respective figures and the same.
