Description
The invention relates to a water-soluble packaging comprising an agent and a water-soluble coating. The invention also relates to a process for producing a water-soluble packaging.
Neben Pulvern und Granulaten umfasst dieses Angebot beispielsweise auch Flüssigkeiten, Gele oder Portionspackungen (Tabletten oder gefüllte Beutel).Detergents or cleaners are now available to the consumer in a variety of forms. In addition to powders and granules, this offer includes, for example, liquids, gels or sachets (tablets or filled pouches).
In particular, portion packs in the form of water-soluble packaging with liquid detergents or cleaners are becoming increasingly popular, they fulfill the one hand, the consumer's desire for simplified dosage and on the other hand more and more consumers prefer liquid detergents or cleaners.
Such a water-soluble bag contains an agent and a transparent, water-soluble wrapper.
To increase the washing or cleaning performance of detergents or cleaners they often contain one or more additives. For example, in order to prevent re-release of previously released soil in finer distribution (redeposition), detergents contain so-called graying inhibitors, such as carboxymethylcellulose. Due to the low solubility of carboxymethylcellulose in liquid detergents or cleaners, turbidity occurs when incorporating carboxymethylcellulose into liquid detergents or cleaners. This leads to an aesthetically less appealing product.
In order to increase or prolong the scent impression on the washing or cleaning agents treated therewith surfaces, such as textiles, for example, washing or cleaning agents contain perfume capsules. In order to achieve a homogeneous and stable distribution of the perfume capsules and thus to arrive at an aesthetically pleasing product, the detergents or cleaners contain thickeners and / or dispersants. These funds are often very expensive and show no washing or cleaning performance itself.

Das Folienmaterial kann beispielsweise Weichmacher wie Dipropylenglycol, Ethylenglycol, Diethylenglycol, Propylenglycol, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Mannitol oder Mischungen daraus enthalten. Weitere Zusatzstoffe umfassen beispielsweise Freisetzungshilfen, Füllmittel, Vernetzungsmittel, Tenside, Antioxidationsmittel, UV-Absorber, Antiblockmittel, Antiklebemittel oder Mischungen daraus. It may be preferred that the film material contains further additives. The film material may contain, for example, plasticizers such as dipropylene glycol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerol, sorbitol, mannitol or mixtures thereof. Further additives include, for example, release aids, fillers, crosslinking agents, surfactants, antioxidants, UV absorbers, antiblocking agents, anti-sticking agents or mixtures thereof.
Suitable water-soluble films for use in the water-soluble casings of the water-soluble packaging according to the invention are films sold by the company MonoSol LLC, for example under the designation M8630, C8400 or M8900. Other suitable films include films named Solublon® PT, Solublon® GA, Solublon® KC or Solublon® KL from Aicello Chemical Europe GmbH or the films VF-HP from Kuraray.
The water-soluble coating is colored with a coloring substance which is, for example, a dye, a pigment, a bluing agent and / or a pearlescing agent.
The coloring substance is applied by printing on the outer surface of the water-soluble sheath. In this context, it is particularly preferable that the printing of the water-soluble coating is water-soluble or water-dispersible.
The application of the coloring substance by means of printing has the advantage that the coloring of the water-soluble coating can be individualized, that is to say in accordance with the requirements of the respective water-soluble packaging.
The printing of the water-soluble coating can be done before the preparation or after the preparation of the water-soluble packaging.
In principle, any form of printing can be used to print the water-soluble wrapper, such as gravure, offset, screen, flexo, airbrush, inkjet or pad printing, or any combination of these printing technologies. Printing by means of ink-jet printing preferably takes place since no mechanical contact with and thus no mechanical loading of the water-soluble coating occurs with this printing technology. The same applies to direct printing with piezo technology, as it also takes place without contact.
The printing by inkjet printing or by direct printing with piezo technology is particularly suitable for printing the water-soluble packaging.
The printing of the water-soluble coating can be done with a water-soluble ink or another suitable medium.
Water Ink Technologies Inc. bekannt.Water-soluble inks are known, for example, under the trade name SunChemical Aquadestruct from SunChemical, Aqua Poly Super Opaque White QW000046 from Environmental Inks or Opta Film OPQ White WO1009656 from Water Ink Technologies Inc.
The printing can take place in the form of surfaces, so that the water-soluble coating is at least partially inked nationwide with a coloring substance. Alternatively, the printing can be in the form of letters, numbers, symbols, ornaments or the like.
The water-soluble envelope may be transparent, translucent or opaque in the area that is colored.

Alternatively, polymeric dyes such as those described by the company Milliken under the name
"Liquitint®" are available. Even pigments such as ultramarine are suitable as bluing agents.

- Pearlescing agents which may be included in the medium for printing on the outer surface of the water-soluble wrapper are mica, metal oxide coated mica, silica coated mica, bismuth oxychloride coated mica, bismuth oxychloride, glass, metal oxide coated glass, polyester glitter and / or metal glitter.
It is advantageous that between 5% and 100% of the outer surface of the water-soluble packaging are colored.
It is also possible for there to be a plurality of differently colored areas of the outer surface of the water-soluble sheath, the different areas preferably differing in the type of coloring and / or coloring substance contained with respect to the printing and / or in the water-soluble sheath ,
Optimum results in printing on the outer surface of the water-soluble wrapper are achieved because the amount of colorant substance is between 1 and 5 g per m 2 dyed surface of the water-soluble wrapper.
In addition, if the colorant has a fabric-care effect, such as a blueing effect, the amount of colorant in the water-soluble package preferably equals the amount necessary to achieve the desired effect.
For example, the amount of ultramarine is between 10 and 300 mg, preferably between 20 and 200 mg, per water-soluble packaging. The amount of photobleach is preferably between 1 and 100 mg, preferably between 3 and 40 mg per water-soluble package.

Accordingly, the term "outer surface of the water-soluble wrapper" designates the surface facing away from the means enclosed by the water-soluble wrapper.
In addition to the water-soluble casing, the water-soluble packaging has a means. In a further embodiment, the water-soluble packaging has two chambers. In this embodiment, the first chamber preferably contains a liquid agent and the second chamber contains a solid or a liquid agent. Alternatively, both chambers may contain a fixed average.
If the water-soluble packaging has three chambers, they may each contain a liquid or a solid agent. But it is also possible that one chamber contains a solid medium and two chambers a liquid medium. In addition, it is possible for a solid agent to be contained in two chambers and a liquid agent in a chamber.
In the case of water-soluble packaging with four or more chambers, there are correspondingly more possible combinations with regard to the number of chambers with a solid or a liquid agent.
There are several possibilities for producing the water-soluble packaging according to the invention. In addition to the vertical form-fill-seal method, the use of a horizontal form-fill-seal method is particularly suitable.
- a) forming at least one cavity in a first water-soluble film web,
- b) filling the at least one cavity with a means and
- c) sealing the cavity with a second water-soluble film web.
In a first embodiment, the coloring substance may be at least partially contained in the first water-soluble film (web). Alternatively, the coloring substance may be at least partially contained in the second water-soluble film (web). In a further alternative, it is also possible that in both water-soluble films (webs) a coloring substance is at least partially contained. If a colorant is contained in both water-soluble films (webs), the colorant in the first film (web) may be the same or different from the colorant in the second film (web).
- a) forming at least one cavity in a first water-soluble film web,
- b) filling the at least one cavity with a product and
- c) closing the cavity with a second water-soluble film web,
- d) at least partially printing the outer surface of the water-soluble envelope with an ink or other medium containing a coloring substance,
In an alternative embodiment of the method for producing a water-soluble packaging, step c) is followed by a further method step. Step d) can be repeated as often as desired so that a plurality of identical or different printed areas are formed on the outer surface of the water-soluble envelope.
- a) forming at least one cavity in a first water-soluble film web,
- b) filling the at least one cavity with a product,
- c) sealing the cavity with a second water-soluble film web and
at least partially printing the outer surface of the water-soluble wrapper with an ink or medium containing the colorant. When printing the outer surface, the amount of colorant used is between 1 and 5 g per m 2 of colored surface of the water-soluble coating.
The films used in this embodiment may be free of colorants, but also contain one or more colorants. The printing with the coloring substance can be done on colored and / or not colored areas of the at least partially colored with a coloring substance envelope.
In a further alternative embodiment of the method for producing a water-soluble packaging, the printing of the first water-soluble film with the coloring substance takes place before the formation of the cavity. In yet another alternative embodiment of the method for producing a water-soluble packaging, the printing of the second water-soluble film with the coloring substance takes place before closing the cavity filled with the agent.
- a) Bereitstellen einer ersten wasserlöslichen Folienbahn,
- a) providing a first water-soluble film web,
- b) printing the first water-soluble film web with an ink or
a medium containing the coloring substance, - c) forming at least one cavity in the first water-soluble
Sheet, - d) filling the at least one cavity with a product and
- e) sealing the cavity with a second water-soluble film web.
- a) forming at least one cavity in the first water-soluble film web,
- b) filling the at least one cavity with a product,
- c) providing a second water-soluble film web,
- d) printing the second water-soluble film web with an ink or a medium which contains the coloring substance and
- e) sealing the cavity with the second water-soluble film web.
In these embodiments, the printing is done so that the generated print image is formed on the outer or on the inner and the outer surface of the water-soluble wrapper. The amount of colorant is in each case between 1 and 5 g per m 2 of colored surface of the water-soluble coating.
Furthermore, these embodiments have the advantage that in each case the application of the printed image takes place on the film while it is still present as a film web and is still flat. This leads to a good print image.
An advantage of the printing during or after the production process of the water-soluble packaging is that the printing can be individualized, that is to say according to the requirements / conditions, for example with regard to shape and content, of the currently produced water-soluble packaging. A use of pre-printed films, on the one hand with changes in the composition of the water-soluble packaging, the film web must be replaced and the manufacturing process are interrupted and on the other hand guaranteed by a scattering of the pre-printed film web that the water-soluble coating is at least partially colored. A targeted positioning of the coloring is different than in the present invention is not possible.
The printing process may optionally be followed by a drying process in which the solvent contained in the ink or in the medium containing the coloring substance is evaporated / removed by blowing up or blowing over tempered gas, passing through a drying oven or irradiating with infrared light , Alternatively, the printing process may be followed by a curing process with UV light.
In addition, when coloring the outer surface of the water-soluble envelope by means of printing, it may be advantageous to apply a water-soluble or water-dispersible protective lacquer to the inked areas of the water-soluble envelope in order to mask and / or disappear the coloring by atmospheric moisture and / or mechanical stress how to prevent friction.

To produce a water-soluble package with the liquid detergent or cleaning agent E1, a film of the type M 8630 (ex Monosol) having a thickness of 76 μm was pulled into a depression by means of a vacuum to form a bulge. Subsequently, the bulge was filled with 30 ml of the liquid detergent or cleaning agent E1. After covering the agent-filled bulges with a second layer of a film containing polyvinyl alcohol, polylactic acid, ultramarine, 1,2-propanediol, and glycerin and having a thickness of 76 μm, the first and second layers were sealed together. The sealing temperature was 150 ° C and the sealing time 1.1 seconds.
Die Menge an Ultramarin pro wasserlöslicher Verpackung betrug 80 mg.The amount of ultramarine per water-soluble package was 80 mg.
After 4, 8 and 12 weeks storage time of the water-soluble packaging with the detergent or cleaning agent E1 under various climatic conditions no arrival or dissolution of the water-soluble coating could be observed. In addition, no pores or holes, which would also lead to product leakage or leaks, were found.
Water-soluble packaging with the detergent or cleaning agent E1 dissolved in washes at temperatures ranging from 20 to 95 ° C, without residue on and treated white laundry had an improved whiteness.
To produce a water-
Subsequently, the outer surface of the
Die Menge an Ultramarin pro wasserlöslicher Verpackung betrug 50 mg.The amount of ultramarine per water-soluble package was 50 mg.
After 4, 8 and 12 weeks storage time of the water-soluble packaging with the detergent or cleaning agent E1 under various climatic conditions no arrival or dissolution of the water-soluble coating could be observed.
