Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an extractor hood, suitable for extracting a cooking device in the form of a combi steamer, a rotisserie or an oven.
  • the present invention relates to a cooking device in the form of a combi steamer, a rotisserie or an oven with such an extractor hood.
  • the steam or vapors places a load on the kitchen space, so that efforts are made to clean and also dehumidify the steam or vapors, the cleaned air being fed back into the kitchen space or the installation space of the cooking appliance.
  • the extractor hood has a filter housing, with a first filter arrangement in the form of a filter block or filter pack with three different filters, namely a mechanical filter, an electrostatic filter and an activated carbon filter.
  • the mechanical filter and the electrostatic filter are used to filter out grease and solid particles, whereas the activated carbon filter is used more to filter odors, with the aim according to DE 10 2013 104 466 A1 is to aspirate aerosols.
  • a further, second filter arrangement in the form of a plurality of UV radiation sources is located in the flow path behind the filter pack.
  • a blower or fan is provided, which is able to generate a gas volume flow and is used to suck in the gas / gas mixture to be cleaned and to discharge it after cleaning from the extractor hood.
  • a disadvantage of this prior art is, inter alia, that the UV lamps have a considerable power requirement of at least 200 W to 600 W per UV lamp, four of which are provided and, in addition, a semi-circular protective coating of the UV lamps is required, which made of relatively expensive materials, such as a gold coating.
  • an extractor hood for a cooking appliance is known, with a first opening into which exhaust air from the cooking appliance can flow in via an exhaust air duct in the rear area of the extractor hood and is supplied to a condensation device. Ambient air is sucked into a second opening provided in the front area of the extractor hood.
  • the exhaust air from the cooking space is guided in a meandering flow path through the condensation device, it also being fed to a UV treatment device.
  • An activated carbon filter is provided at the end of the condensation device, through which the exhaust air flows from the cooking space. Only then is it mixed with the ambient air and flows together with it through the condensation device in a second flow path, which cools the condensation device, which is thus designed as a heat exchanger.
  • a fan that is connected to it, the exhaust air is forced through the HEPA filter together with the ambient air and flows out at the top of the extractor hood.
  • a disadvantage of the extractor hood DE 20 2011 050 141 U1 is that a corresponding contamination can occur in the condensation device by separating vapors. Furthermore, it is usually in the ambient air in commercial kitchens there is also a particle, fat droplet and odor contamination, whereby this ambient air is only cleaned by the HEPA filter. Dehumidification of moist ambient air, for example by vapors from other cooking and cooking appliances or even after opening the cooking compartment door of the cooking appliance located under the extractor hood and a sudden escape of remaining steam in the cooking compartment, does not result in any further dehumidification and, for example, aerosols and odors in the ambient air not cleaned. In addition, a more energy-consuming UV lamp device is still used for cleaning.
  • a device for filtering contaminated air which has an eddy current filter, a filter used for grease separation, a filter for air drying and an odor filter. All filters are arranged in a cassette. Since the individual filters are loaded to different extents, an exchange of the entire filter arrangement is uneconomical.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object of proposing a simple, effective and energy-saving extractor hood which is suitable for extracting a cooking appliance in the form of a combi steamer, a rotisserie or an oven.
  • the activated carbon filter has both a large surface area and good flowability and is made up of activated carbon filter elements which have a honeycomb structure. This will make one excellent flow through the activated carbon filter and created an extractor hood with a large volume throughput.
  • the activated carbon filter of the extractor hood of the present invention advantageously has a honeycomb structure with honeycombs which can have a square, generally rectangular, hexagonal, generally polygonal, oval or circular cross-sectional shape. This structure creates flow channels for the gaseous medium to be cleaned and enables complete cleaning of odors.
  • the filter elements are stacked in a filter frame.
  • the filter elements are advantageously formed from a composite material made of activated carbon and ceramic.
  • the first filter arrangement is movably mounted in a shaft and can be removed therefrom.
  • filter cleaning or filter replacement is possible in a simple manner.
  • the individual filters can either be cleaned or replaced when their capacity has reached a limit.
  • the second filter arrangement after removal of the first filter arrangement, is accessible from the outside through the inlet opening or through the shaft and is also designed to be removable. This allows a complete filter change to be carried out without time-consuming partial disassembly of the extractor hood, as is the case with the prior art.
  • an exhaust air expansion channel is formed below the bottom of the filter housing, which can be connected to an exhaust air channel of the cooking device.
  • a (partial) separation is advantageously carried out with the aid of the exhaust air expansion duct made by vapors so that the exhaust air is already partially cleaned when entering the first filter arrangement.
  • the exhaust air expansion channel serves as a condensation device and that further, possibly complex, condensation devices are not required.
  • a skewed bottom plate advantageously limits the exhaust air expansion channel and returns the condensate to the exhaust air channel of the cooking device.
  • the base plate thus has a double inclination in the direction of the exhaust air duct of the cooking device arriving from below, which at the same time also serves as a discharge duct for the condensate.
  • the inlet opening of the extractor hood is in the assembled state on the device above and in front of the front of the cooking device. This enables the steam that escapes suddenly when the cooking chamber door is opened to be drawn into the inlet opening of the extractor hood.
  • the first filter arrangement is accommodated in a frame arrangement which, in the lowest position in the installed position, has at least one recess for draining off condensate and grease. This enables the substances filtered by the first filter arrangement to be discharged from the filter arrangement during operation of the extractor hood.
  • An ambient air supply channel is advantageously provided below the exhaust air expansion channel, via which ambient air can be supplied to the cooking device.
  • a collecting device for vapors or fat dripping from the first filter arrangement is formed at the front end of the exhaust air expansion channel. This prevents the dripping vapors or the fat falls down onto the floor in front of the cooking appliance and creates the corresponding contamination. The dripping vapors or the fat are then introduced into the exhaust air expansion duct and move along the skewed base plate to the exhaust air duct and are fed from there to the sewer system which is connected to the cooking device.
  • the present invention also includes a cooking device in the form of a combi steamer, a rotisserie or an oven, with a housing in which a cooking space is formed, which can be closed by a cooking space door, a heater for heating the cooking space, an exhaust air duct, an air supply duct and one Liquid drainage channel.
  • the cooking appliance has an extractor hood according to the invention on the top of its housing.
  • Fig. 1 is shown schematically an extractor hood 1 according to the invention, which is arranged on a cooking appliance 3.
  • the cooking device 3 can be a combi steamer, a rotisserie or an oven, these devices being widely known in the prior art.
  • the cooking device 3 has a cooking chamber 5, in which a fan wheel 7 is arranged, which serves to circulate the cooking chamber atmosphere. Further details, such as a heater, a steam generating device for steaming the cooking chamber atmosphere, etc. are omitted for the sake of simplifying the illustration.
  • the cooking space 5 is closed by means of a cooking space door which has a handle 11 for its actuation.
  • a drain opening 13 is provided in the bottom of the cooking space 15 in a conventional manner, through which the cooking space atmosphere can be discharged.
  • a discharge box 17 is located downstream of the discharge opening 13 and functions as a condensation device and condenses at least part of the vapors discharged through the discharge opening 13.
  • a discharge box 17 is for example in the DE 10 2008 012 961 A1 described by the applicant.
  • An arrow 19 is indicated to clarify the removal of the vapors from the cooking space atmosphere of the cooking space 5.
  • the condensed vapors can be discharged from the extinguishing box 17 via a drain line 21, the drain line 21 being connected to a sewer network.
  • the remaining exhaust air from the cooking space 5 is discharged upwards via an exhaust air duct 23 according to arrow 25. A certain dehumidification and cooling of the exhaust gas discharged from the cooking space 5 has already taken place through the extinguishing box 17.
  • the exhaust air duct 23 opens into an opening 29 into an exhaust air expansion duct 31 of the extractor hood 1.
  • the exhaust air expansion duct 31 extends over the entire width of the extractor hood 1 and thus has a significantly larger volume than the exhaust duct 23.

  • the embodiment of the extractor hood 1 according to the invention Fig. 11 shows the possibility of separate removal of the flame protection / grease filter 49 from the first filter arrangement 47.
  • This offers several advantages. First, the filter 49 that was first reached by the exhaust air becomes significantly more dirty than the one behind it lying filters 51 and 53. Second, the first filter arrangement 47 can have a considerable weight, so that it can be difficult for the operator to handle it at the appropriate height in space. The partial disassembly or assembly of the first filter arrangement is thus much easier. This is all the more so as thirdly the filter 49 can be pulled down through the exhaust air inlet opening 45 and not only through the shaft opening 56.
  • the present invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown.
  • the pocket filter 53 can also be arranged separately from the other two filters 49 and 51 at a certain distance in the flow path.
  • a particularly advantageous extractor hood is thus created which is simple in construction, has energy-saving and effective filter arrangements which, moreover, can be removed and replaced from the filter housing in a very simple manner.
