Description

The present invention relates to a trunk body for receiving a connecting piece between a lintel and a frame of a joiner.

A trunk body is an accessory intended to be implanted in a house above an opening, such as a window, a door. An occultant is mounted in the trunk body to be able to be lowered in front of the opening.

Such a trunk body is formed of a profile, generally U-shaped section returned, considered in its position of installation and in which takes place the occultant. The trunk body is thus delimited by an extended arch wall of its two longitudinal edges by two side walls turned vis-à-vis and which delimit between them the recess for the occultant.

It is also known for example from FR 2992017 A1 or EP 2985404 A1 using at least one junction piece together with a trunk body to mechanically link a lintel with the top rail of a carpentry frame to mechanically link the lintel with said top rail to stiffen it. A trunk body is thus known, one side wall of which, intended to be turned towards the interior of the house, is hollowed out from its outer face by a groove. The joining piece, consisting of a metal lug can take place in said groove to connect a lintel sunk on the arch wall and the top rail of the frame of a carpentry and which takes place under said side wall. The metal tab has, in its position of installation, a first vertical branch which takes place in the groove, and which is extended in its upper part by a second branch which extends horizontally on or in the arch wall then dug out. a horizontal groove, itself extended by a third branch that extends upward to take anchor in the lintel. The frame can be held firmly also in its upper part.

This metal leg is exposed to the ambient air of the house and forms a thermal bridge capturing in cold weather calories in the house to evacuate in the wall.

Considering this state of affairs, the applicant sought a solution to connect through a trunk body a lintel with the frame of a carpentry and which does not form a thermal bridge.

For this purpose, is proposed a trunk body delimited by a profile having in section a U-shaped geometry returned, including a vault wall extended at its two longitudinal edges respectively by two side walls, which extend in the same direction and perpendicularly or almost perpendicular to the arch wall, these three walls delimiting between them a longitudinal recess for receiving an occultant. According to the invention, a first transverse groove at least locally passes through the arch wall and said first transverse groove connects with a second groove transversely digging a side wall from its inner face.

This trunk body structure is designed to receive a connecting piece between a lintel and a carpentry frame which can thus take place in the first groove opening and in the second groove open on the recess, without causing, at the end the implantation of the body of chest in a house, thermal bridge.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the trunk body incorporates a junction part defined by a first branch, a second branch which extends almost perpendicularly and at its upper end, in the mounting position of the connecting piece, said first branch, the first branch taking place in the second groove, the second branch taking place in the first groove and the second branch being provided with an anchoring means in a lintel.

The first branch of the joining piece remains hidden in said side wall, it is thus not exposed to the ambient air of the house. It does not form a thermal bridge. The second branch remains hidden under the lintel.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the first leg is connected to the second leg, via a concave wall, facing the inside of said connecting piece.

The junction piece disposed in the trunk body does not penetrate the recess of the trunk body.

According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the anchoring means is formed of at least one anchoring tab which is connected to the second branch, in a direction opposite to that of the first branch, said anchoring tab making protruding outside the trunk body through its arch wall.

Thus, by casting a lintel on the vault wall of the trunk body, the connecting piece is secured in the lintel.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the anchoring means is formed of two anchoring tabs.

The trunk body provided with its junction piece provides increased resistance to a torque exerted on the free end of the first branch, around the two anchors.

According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the two anchoring tabs form between them an open angle of a few degrees.

This geometry strengthens the connection with the lintel.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the trunk body comprises a connecting means between the first branch and a frame.

We can assemble the first branch with the second branch.

Advantageously, the connecting means comprises an insert disposed in said lateral wall, said insert being traversed, at least locally, of a central passage and in which the free end of the first branch is mounted, a stiffening profile being mounted in overlap on the free longitudinal edge of said side wall and in which is present said insert.

The insert can be used to anchor the top cross member of the frame.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the joining piece is constituted by an assembly of several elements.

It becomes possible to mount the joining piece through the recess of the trunk body, by an assembly of its elements, to put a junction piece forgotten, to mount connecting parts in a trunk body renovation type.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the first branch is assembled to the second branch at the concave wall.

The second branch can be mounted in the trunk body, and then the first branch assembled with the second branch.

According to an additional feature of the invention, said or each anchor tab is formed of a base integral with the second branch and a nozzle attached to the end of said base.

The end piece or the end pieces can be dismantled during transport or storage of the trunk bodies.

In an alternative embodiment, said or each anchor tab is formed of a base integral with the second branch, said or each anchor tab being traversed radially by a through hole for mounting an anchor bolt in a lintel.

It is then possible to assemble the trunk body and its junction lug (s) on an existing lintel.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the assembly of the elements is achieved by a dovetail type junction.

The assembly of two elements intended to cooperate is achieved by simple lateral approach.

According to an additional feature of the invention, the width of the second groove is greater than the width of the first transverse groove or vice versa, allowing an assembly of the elements of the connecting piece inside the trunk body.

It is possible to assemble the junction piece from inside the trunk body, by placing the two branches of the junction piece in their respective grooves.

According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the depth and the width of the first transverse groove which crosses the arch wall are limited locally, on the opposite side to the second groove, so that a heel is formed in said arch wall to locally support the horizontal branch to properly wedge the connecting piece.

The junction piece can be accurately positioned in the trunk body to facilitate its connection with the trunk body.

The chest body 100 presented on the Fig. 1 is intended to contain a blackout for a door or window, such as a shutter, a blind, a mosquito net. The trunk body 100 has in section a U-shaped geometry returned to its position of use. It is preferably manufactured in a thermally insulating material and sufficiently resistant from a mechanical point of view. It is advantageously made of polystyrene in a production mold.

In cross section, the trunk body 100 is delimited by a vault wall Pv extended at its two longitudinal edges respectively by two side walls P12 and P12, commonly called jamb walls, which extend in the same direction and perpendicularly or from almost perpendicular to the vault wall Pv. These three walls delimit between them a longitudinal recess Ev to receive an occultant for a door, for a window.

Two closing cheeks, not shown, can be affixed to both side faces of the trunk body to hold, when the blackout is a shutter, the two ends of the axis of said shutter.

A stiffening profile Pf is mounted to overlap on the free longitudinal edge of each side wall P1. It is preferably made of metal, such as an aluminum alloy. It has a U-shaped geometry that covers the free edge of a jamb wall Pl.

Elle s'étend depuis la paroi latérale Pl1 jusqu'à pratiquement l'autre paroi latérale Pl2.On the Fig. 2 , a first transverse groove Rn1 passes through, at least locally, the thickness of the vault wall Pv of the trunk body. It extends from the side wall P1 to virtually the other side wall P12.

The joining piece 200 is presented in an insertion position in the first transverse groove Rn1, suggested by the arrow F.

La seconde rainure Rn2 n'est, de préférence, pas débouchante du côté de la face externe de la paroi latérale Pl1.On the Fig. 3 , the first transverse groove Rn1 which passes through the arch wall Pv is connected to a second groove Rn2 which is transversely hollow, that is to say vertically in the laying position of the trunk body 100, the side wall P1, since its internal face Fi. The second groove Rn2 is preferably not open on the side of the outer face of the side wall P1.

The first transverse groove Rn1 and the second groove Rn2 form a reservation for accommodating the joining piece.

On the Fig. 2 the joining piece 200 consists of a monolithic component, that is to say, made in one piece. It is made of a relatively rigid material, for example metal. Its thickness is preferably constant, for example close to 10 mm. It can thus be manufactured by cutting into a sheet metal plate. It generally presents in front view an L-shaped geometry, considered in its laying position, comprising a first vertical branch Bv extended from its top edge by a second horizontal branch Bh.

An anchoring means, such as at least one anchoring tab Dc, however, is connected from above to the second horizontal branch Bh, that is to say in a direction opposite to the first branch Bv. Two anchors Dc1 and Dc2 are connected on this Fig. 2 , on the horizontal branch Bh. One connects to the middle of said horizontal branch Bh and the other extends substantially perpendicular to its free end. Note however that the two anchors form between them an open angle of a few degrees, in particular between 4 and 30 degrees and whose median plane is preferably perpendicular to said horizontal branch.

On the Fig. 4 , the connecting piece 200 is mounted in the trunk body 100. The vertical leg Bv takes place in the second vertical groove Rn2 while the horizontal leg Bh takes place in the first groove Rn1 through the arch wall Pv. The two legs Dc1 and Dc2 protrude from the top of the arch wall Pv. The junction piece 200 is mounted by inserting the latter through the first groove Rn1 and from the outside towards the inside of the box.

When the blackout is a rolling shutter whose apron is wound, unrolled around a winding drum, the recess Ev presents, under the arch wall, a semicircular geometry, as is visible on the Figs. 1 , 2 and 3 . On the Fig. 2 the vertical branch Bv is connected to the horizontal branch Bh, via a concave wall Pa, facing the inside of the joining piece and which substantially takes up the radius of the recess Ev under the arch wall . This appears distinctly on the Fig. 4 , where we see the concave wall Pa, which here has a rounded geometry, not to encroach on the winding volume of the deck. In the same logic, the width of the vertical branch Bv is substantially the same as the depth of the second vertical groove Rn2. The junction piece 200 does not encroach into the volume of the recess for receiving an occultant.

En prévoyant un talon relativement peu large, il est envisageable de pouvoir monter la pièce de jonction depuis l'intérieur du corps de coffre, c'est-à-dire au travers de son évidement Ev.On the Fig. 3 it is noted that the depth and the width of the first groove Rn1 which passes through the vault wall Pv are limited locally, on the opposite side to the second groove Rn2, so that a heel T1 is formed in the vault wall Pv for locally support the horizontal leg of the connecting piece, allowing, together with the second groove Rn2, a precise positioning of said junction piece in the trunk body 100. Furthermore, the height of the heel Tl extends to radius of the recess Ev under the arch wall, which prevents the horizontal branch of the connecting piece does not enter the recess of the trunk body. This appears distinctly on the Fig. 4 . By providing a relatively small heel, it is conceivable to be able to mount the connecting piece from inside the trunk body, that is to say through its recess Ev.

So, and with reference to the Fig. 5 , the connecting piece 200 which is mounted in the trunk body 100, makes it possible to connect a lintel Lt with a frame Dt. The junction piece 200 which remains disposed inside the trunk body 100 is not able to to capture calories in the home. It does not form a thermal bridge.

The lintel Lt is sunk following the implantation of the trunk body 100 in a dwelling, above the doorway of a door or window. It is cast on the Pv arch wall in a formwork delimited above the trunk body. The presence of two anchors Dc1 and Dc2 provides a relatively strong anchorage in the lintel. Indeed, the wind, the operation of mechanical ventilation, lead to expose in pressure or depression the door, the window, held in the frame Dt. In these conditions, and because the stress exerted by the frame Dt on the connecting piece 200 at the profile Pf1, forms a pair mechanical around the two anchors Dc, one of them works in tension and the other works in compression or vice versa. The two tabs Dc are preferably not arranged parallel to one another, they form between them an acute angle of a few degrees to further enhance their anchoring efficiency.

The frame Dt comprises a high cross Th and with which is directly or indirectly connected the lower end of the vertical branch Bv of the connecting piece 200 and via a connecting means.

More precisely and on the Fig. 4 the free end of the vertical branch Bv enters an insert St and which is embedded in the end of the side wall P1, during the manufacture of the trunk body 100. On the view in detail presented on this same Fig. 4 , this insert St has in section a rectangular or square geometry, whose width is substantially the same as that of the side wall P1 and is traversed, at least locally, a central passage Pc in which is mounted the free end of the vertical branch Bv. The insert St is held prisoner in the stiffening profile Pf1 at the end of the laying of said profile on the free edge of the side wall Pl1. The insert St is made of a material that has a relatively low coefficient of thermal conductivity, to prevent the junction piece 200 does not capture calories in the Pf1 profile. The central passage may not be opening to prevent the free end of the vertical branch Bv comes to touch the profile Pf1, to prevent the joining piece 200 does not form a thermal bridge. For the same purpose and with a central passage opening, the length of the vertical branch Bv is calculated so that its free end does not come touch the profile Pf1.

It will be noted that the free end of the vertical leg Bv is shifted outwardly from the junction piece 200, via a short oblique portion so that it can be arranged generally in the middle of the side wall P1 and ability to penetrate the central passage of the insert St. The second groove Rn2 is hollowed out accordingly.

On the Fig. 5 , this insert St is mechanically connected to the lintel Lt via the junction piece 200. It is advantageously used to serve as anchor point to the upper cross member of the frame Dt. One can thus use for this purpose, a tab Fixing Pt section L, whose vertical flange comes to bear on the profile Pf1 and whose horizontal flange bears on the high Th cross or on a constituent wing of the profile Pf1 placed in abutment on said high crossbar. The tab Pt is advantageously fixed by screwing in the insert St and preferably also in the high cross Th. Such a fastening tab is used for relatively large table widths. Note that this link is not essential. It is still possible, in fact, to directly fix the profile Pf1 on the high crossbar Th, for example by means of a constituent wing of the profile Pf1, as it appears on FIG. Fig. 8 .

On the Fig. 6 it is found that the joining piece 200 consists of an assembly of several elements. On this Fig. 6 , the vertical branch Bv is joined to the horizontal branch Bh at the concave wall Pa. Moreover, each anchoring tab Dc consists of a base Em which takes root on the horizontal branch Bh and a mouthpiece Bt. which extends said base. Another tip may extend the Bt end for anchoring in a U-section to form a lintel and which is relatively deep.

The mutual assembly of these elements is realized, on this Fig. 6 , by a junction of the dovetail type allowing an assembly of two elements to abut by lateral approach as suggested by the arrow F2.

On the Fig. 7 this connecting piece 200 in several elements is mounted in a trunk body 100. It is noted that the height of the horizontal leg Bh is less than the height of the arch wall Pv measured under the recess Ev, so that the Em bases, relatively short, barely exceed the upper face of the vault wall Pv, as it appears on this Fig. 7 . Thus, it is possible to superpose trunk bodies to minimize their static storage volume or during transport. The Bt bits constituting the anchoring lugs are assembled with the Em bases on the site of installation of the trunk body 100.

Furthermore, the assembly of the elements of the joining piece 200 can be achieved by the interior of the trunk body 100, that is to say in its recess Ev. This situation may exist when one has forgotten to assemble a connecting piece in the trunk body. The width of the second groove Rn2 is, in this case, greater than the width of the first groove Rn1 or vice versa, allowing an assembly of the elements of the junction piece 200 inside the trunk body.

Les deux trous de passage Tp traversent alors la branche horizontale Bh.Another situation where the assembly of the junction piece into several elements by the inside of the trunk body may be of interest is as follows. The body of chest of the invention can still be placed in rehabilitation on an existing lintel, as shown on the Fig. 8 . In this embodiment of the joining piece 200, its two bases Em are shorter so as not to project beyond the arch wall. They are traversed radially and respectively two holes Tp passage, symbolized by lines of axes, to mount lag bolts for anchoring in the lintel. By increasing the height of the horizontal leg Bh to reach the height of the arch wall Pv measured under the recess Ev, Em bases can disappear. The two passage holes Tp then cross the horizontal branch Bh.

Moreover, the dismantling of the trunk body remains possible in all circumstances.

The trunk body 100 of the invention can internally receive a junction piece 200 for connecting a lintel with the frame of a joinery. The junction piece remains hidden in the trunk body after its implementation, it does not generate a thermal bridge.

None on thickness does change the outer face of the jamb wall that hides the joining piece.

The insertion of the junction piece 200 in the trunk body 100 is done either by the top of the trunk body, by passing it through its arched wall, or by the inside of the trunk body through its recess.
