Method for production of a box made of corrugated cardboard sheet material from a cut blank (1, 43, 58, 59, 60) having a series (2) of panels comprising at least four rectangular main panels (5, 6) terminated by a rectangular fixing tongue (3, 49), connected to one another by first fold lines (4) parallel to one another, and a first set (8) of lateral flaps disposed on one side and connected to the main panels by second fold lines (9) perpendicular to the first fold lines (4) and designed to form at least partly the bottom of the box, said box being arranged to be assembled automatically by folding of said panels and the flaps of said first set around a mandrel (29; 46; 55, 56; 62, 63) of shape complementing the inside of the box, the end panel of the series of panels and the tongue on the one hand, and the adjacent flaps on the other hand, being fixed between them by gluing to form the said box, method in which the cut blank is removed from the stack flat by picking up the top cut blank (24, 72) from a vertical constant level storage magazine (23) with a stack (21) of cut blanks (22),

  2. Method for production of a box made of sheet material according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the position (pi) of the top cut blank is measured by telemetric means (71), the trajectory of the means for removal from the stack is calculated (73) as a function of said position (pi) and the movement of said means (39) for removal from the stack between a grasping position (74) of the cut blank and the set down position is actuated, calculating the trajectory for the following position (pi+i) of the cut blank during the movement time, and so on.
  3. Method according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the cut blank at the top of the stack is brought to a predetermined height (constant level),
    said cut blank is separated from the rest of the stack by pre-removal means (38), said cut blank is jogged to centre it and keep it separate from the rest of the stack in the pick-up (grasping) position,
    the pre-removal means (38, 75) are retracted,
    said cut blank is picked up (grasped) by suction with the aid of means (39) for removal from the stack,
    said cut blank is moved with the aid of said means (39) for removal from the stack in order to place it in the predetermined location,
    and the cycle of steps above is repeated with the following top cut blank.
  4. Method according to claim 3,
    characterised in that
    the reference edge (51) defining the reference edge of the mandrel, the latter being a lower edge of the mandrel and the predetermined location being the upper plane of the mandrel, the main panel (5, 44) adjacent to the main panel (6, 47) to which the fixing tongue (3, 49) is connected directly or indirectly is placed on the upper face (30, 45) of the mandrel (29, 46).
  5. Method according to claim 3,
    characterised in that
    the reference edge (61) defining the reference edge of the mandrel, the latter being an upper edge of the mandrel and the predetermined location being formed by a surface situated exactly opposite the lower face of said mandrel, the main panel adjacent to the main panel to which the fixing tongue is connected directly or indirectly is pressed flat on the lower face of said mandrel (62, 63).
  6. Method according to any one of claims 3 to 5,
    characterised in that
    the cut blank is jogged with the aid of a first set of stops at a reference height X of the stack and the top cut blank is separated from the following cut blank by a second set of stops at a height Y situated a vertical distance of between 1 and 20 mm from the reference X.
  7. Method according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the stack is held up when the cut blank at the bottom of the stack has reached a predetermined level and a new stack is automatically put in place underneath the remaining part of the previous stack to ensure the continuity of removal from the stack.
  8. Method according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    it allows more than thirty cycles per minute.
  9. Method according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    detachment of the top cut blank from the rest of the stack is assisted by blowing air over the top of the cut blank.
  10. Device for production of a box made of corrugated cardboard sheet material from a cut blank (1, 48, 58, 59, 60) having a series (2) of panels comprising at least four rectangular main panels (5, 6) terminated by a rectangular fixing tongue (3), connected to one another by first fold lines (4) parallel to one another, and a first set (8) of lateral flaps disposed on one side and connected to the main panels by second fold lines (9) perpendicular to the first fold lines (4) and designed to form at least partly the bottom of the box, said box being arranged to be assembled automatically by folding of said panels and the flaps of said first set around a mandrel (29) of shape complementing the inside of the box, the end panel of the series of panels and the tongue on the one hand, and the adjacent flaps on the other hand, being fixed between them by gluing to form said box, the device comprising
    a magazine for vertical storage of the cut blanks flat (22), means (39) for removal of the top cut blank (24, 72) from said magazine by suction (77),
    means (28) for applying glue,
    a robot arm (76) for horizontal placement of the main panel adjacent to the main panel to which the fixing tongue of said grasped cut blank is connected directly or indirectly on a reference surface,
    means for placing in a predetermined location the main panel (5, 44) adjacent to said main panel (6, 47) to which the fixing tongue (3, 49) is connected directly or indirectly exactly opposite a lower or upper face (30, 45) of the mandrel (29, 46, 62, 63) so that the lower or upper edges (31, 32, 53) of the mandrel are exactly opposite the first fold lines (4) of the facing cut blank, and
    means (34, 36, 37) for automatic folding of the panels around the edges of the mandrel,
    characterised in that
    it comprises means (35) for pressing flat the previously glued tongue on the lateral edge of the adjacent panel, by pressing said tongue around a reference edge of the mandrel on the opposite side to said lower or upper face,
    and in that when the reference edge (51) defining the reference edge of the mandrel, is a lower edge of the mandrel and the predetermined location is the upper plane of the mandrel, the means for placement in a predetermined location comprise an arm with suction heads (77) for setting down the main panel (5, 44) adjacent to the main panel (6, 47) to which the fixing tongue (3, 49) is connected on the upper face (30, 45) of the mandrel (29, 46),
    and when the reference edge (61) defining the reference edge of the mandrel is an upper edge of the mandrel and the predetermined location is formed by a surface situated exactly opposite the lower face of said mandrel, the means for placing the panel adjacent to the panel to which the fixing tongue is connected on the lower face of said mandrel comprise a conveyor belt with lateral and longitudinal stops for the cut blank.
  11. Device according to claim 10,
    characterised in that
    it comprises means (71) for telemetric measurement of the position (pi) of the top cut blank and means (69, 73) for calculating the trajectory of the means (39) for removal from the stack as a function of said position (pi) arranged to actuate the movement of said means for removal from the stack between a grasping position (74) of the cut blank and a position for positioning on a predetermined work station, and to calculate the trajectory for the following position (pi+1) of the cut blank and so on during the time of movement.
  12. Device according to any one of claims 10 and 11,
    characterised in that
    it comprises a lifting platform (67, 68) for lifting the stack as far as a plane for picking up the top cut blank,
    means (38, 75) for pre-removal arranged to separate the top cut blank from the rest of the stack and
    means (83) for jogging said cut blank to square it and keep it separate from the rest of the stack in position for grasping by the means (39) for removal from the stack after the retraction of the means for pre-removal.
  13. Device according to any one of claims 10 to 12,
    characterised in that
    it comprises means (92) for holding up the stack when the cut blank at the bottom of the stack has reached a predetermined level and means for automatically putting a new stack in place underneath the remaining part of the previous stack, capable of ensuring the continuity of removal from the stack.
  14. Device according to claim 13,
    characterised in that
    the means (92) for holding up comprise free stops (93) pivoting between a position in which they slide along the edge (100) of the stack of cut blanks and a position in which they support the bottom of the stack under the effect of gravity.
  15. Device according to any one of claims 12 to 14, depending on claim 12,
    characterised in that
    the jogging means comprise a first set of stops at a reference height X of the stack and a second set of stops at a height Y situated a vertical distance of between 1 and 20 mm from the reference X, for separation of the top cut blank from the following cut blank.
  16. Device according to any one of claims 10 to 15,
    characterised in that
    it comprises means to aid detachment of the top cut blank from the rest of the stack by blowing air over the top of the cut blank.
  17. Device according to claim 16,
    characterised in that
    the blown air is injected through nozzles which are inclined in relation to the surface of the top cut blank at a pressure of between I and 2 bars relative.
  18. Device according to any one of claims 13 to 17 depending on claim 15,
    characterised in that
    the magazine for cut blanks comprising a pallet,
    the lifting platform (67, 68) is arranged to move said pallet and the cut blanks carried on it vertically up to a plane for observation and gripping, and in that it comprises means for visual detection.
