  3. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that to disengage the stops (61) of the first track, said stops are retracted downwards.
  4. Method according to claim 3, characterised in that to achieve the retraction of the stops, the latter are pivoted about an axis (67) located above the plane of the first track, which allows disengagement without catching the cardboard.
  5. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the locking with vertical pressure is executed through the medium of a stop (63) which is bevelled towards the cut shapes and actuated vertically.
  6. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the second cut shape (3) is moved on to the first cut shape by transverse translation, after gripping by means of suction cups (51) actuated vertically by jacks with a linear electric motor, at a speed of translation of between 4m/s and 6m/s.
  7. Method according to claim 6, characterised in that the second cut shape (3) is transferred on to the first cut shape (2) by an arrangement of two carriages (52, 53) actuated by a belt clamping drive system.
  8. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that, in order to transfer the assembly of cut shapes so-formed to the forming station, said assembly is raised to bring it into contact with gripping cups (84) of an arrangement for transferring the assembly to the forming station.
  9. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that, the first cut shape (2) having a series of at least four main leaves (12, 13, 14, 15) terminated by a fixing tongue (17), connected together by first parallel fold lines (16) between them, said series of leaves forming the external walls of the base of the box, having on one side an upper free edge (18) with no flaps and being connected on the other side to a series of flaps by second fold lines (20) perpendicular to said first fold lines, the second cut shape (3) is placed on the first cut shape, the free edge (11) of said second cut shape being aligned or substantially aligned with the second fold lines (20) of the first cut shape and the third fold lines (9) being superposed in relation to the first fold lines (16) of the first cut shape.
  10. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the first cut shape (2) having a central panel and four lateral peripheral flaps, one of said previously glued flaps is placed face to face with a leaf of the second cut shape to form a bottom in the shape of a boat once folded around the mandrel.
  11. Device (24) for the production of a packing box with a polygonal section from at least two cut shapes (2, 3) of cardboard sheet or corrugated cardboard sheet material, namely a first cut shape (2) forming the bottom of said box, and a second cut shape (3) having at least four panels (4, 5, 6, 7) connected together by third parallel fold lines (9), having a lower free edge (11) with no flap on the bottom side, said second cut shape forming a lid for said box, characterised in that it comprises
    two adjacent magazines (25, 26) for storage respectively of the first and second cut shapes,
    means for transfer of said cut shapes to an assembly station comprising:
    means (27, 28) for gripping the cut shapes from said magazines,
    two parallel tracks (29, 30) for transferring said cut shapes flat to an assembly station (31), namely a first track (29) for the first cut shape (2) and a second track (30) for the second cut shape (3), each track comprising a system (32, 33) for drive of the cut shapes with stops,
    means for guiding each of said cut shapes, each comprising two rails (40, 41; 42, 43) for guiding the cut shapes (2, 3) substantially with a lateral gap to an assembly station, and
    means (34, 35) for longitudinal abutment to said assembly station, in a longitudinal position set for each of the cut shapes,
    means (36) for applying glue to the first cut shape during its transfer, to its longitudinal position,
    means (44) for clamping the first and second cut shapes in lateral abutment to give them a precise respective lateral reference position against one of the rails,
    means (50) for grasping and laterally transferring the second cut shape (3) by means of cups (51) to place it on the first cut shape (2) thus indexed, in their respective set longitudinal positions,
    means (60) for disengaging the dogs of the first track in relation to the first cut shape, when the second cut shape is moved into position on the first, and means for locking said first cut shape with vertical pressure at the time of disengagement,
    means (70) for applying the second cut shape on the first cut shape,
    and means (80) for transferring the assembly of cut shapes so formed to a forming station (90).
  12. Device according to claim 11, characterised in that in addition it comprises said forming station (90) comprising a mandrel (23) and means for rolling the cut shapes around said mandrel to form the box.
  13. Device according to any one of claims 11 and 12, characterised in that the means for locking with vertical pressure comprise a stop (69) which is bevelled towards the cut shapes and actuated by jack.
  14. Device according to any one of claims 11 to 13, characterised in that the means (60) for disengaging the stops (61) comprise means for retracting the stops downwards by pivoting the latter about an axis (67) located above the plane of the first track.
  15. Device according to any one of claims 11 to 14, characterised in that the means (50) for grasping and transferring the second cut shape (3) on to the first cut shape comprise means for transverse translation comprising means for gripping using suction cups (51) actuated vertically by jacks (54) with a linear electric motor, with a speed of translation of between 4m/s and 6m/s.
  16. Device according to claim 15, characterised in that the means (50) for transferring the second cut shape (3) on to the first cut shape (2) comprise an arrangement of two carriages (52, 53) actuated by a belt clamping drive system (55, 56).
  17. Device according to any one of claims 11 to 16, characterised in that the means (50) for transferring the assembly of cut shapes (2, 3) to the forming station (90) comprise an arrangement for moving said cut shapes to the forming station provided with gripping suction cups (61) and means arranged to raise said assembly to bring it into contact with said gripping cups.
  18. Device according to any one of claims 11 to 17, characterised in that
    the first cut shape (2) having a series of at least four main leaves (12, 13, 14, 15) terminated by a fixing tongue (17), connected together by first parallel fold lines (16) between them, said series of leaves forming the external walls of the base of the box and being connected on one side to a series of flaps by second fold lines perpendicular to said first fold lines, the means for grasping and transfer are arranged in order to place the third fold lines of the second cut shape substantially aligned in relation to the first fold lines of the first cut shape,
    and in that the means for application of the second cut shape on the first are arranged in order to glue the two panels to the two non-adjacent leaves face to face.
