Durch die am Aussendurchmesser angeordnete Dichtung, vorzugsweise ein O-Ring, wird die Dichtheit des Adapterstücks gewährleistet. Zusätzlich wird durch das Einschrauben des Adapterstücks auf Anschlag eine vorgegebene bzw. fest definierte Einbauhöhe, anders als bei einer eingehanften Gewindeverbindung, gewährleistet. Die eingehanften Gewindeverbindungen sind nicht auf Anschlag zu montieren, da das Dichtelement wie bspw. Hanf unterschiedlich aufträgt und dadurch nicht genau bestimmt werden kann in welcher Position das einzuschraubende Gewinde genügend tief hinein geschraubt ist bis es optimal abdichtet. Zudem mindert die O-Ring Dichtung, anders als eine gehanfte Gewindeverbindung, das Risiko der Spannungsrisskorrosion da in den Gewindeflanken kein zusätzlich gequetschtes Dichtelement in Form von Hanf und somit keine zusätzlichen Spannungskräfte wirken können.The invention is additionally characterized by the fact that different sizes of sprinklers can be installed in the connection piece.
