Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a hybrid vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a hybrid vehicle is from the EP 1 375 226 A2 known.
  • the relevant state of the art also includes the US 2006/0099323 A1 ,
  • Combustion engines are still the main propulsion source in hybrid vehicles currently available on the market.
  • An "extension" of a conventional internal combustion engine engine to “hybrid components” results in a relatively high vehicle weight, which does not necessarily indicate “environmental disclaimer”.
  • the "high-voltage storage” used in today's hybrid vehicles which are needed to supply the “electric drive” with electrical energy, make up a considerable additional mass.
  • High-voltage accumulators are not only heavy but also expensive and require special safety precautions in the vehicle due to the high electrical voltage.
  • today's hybrid vehicles can only complete comparatively short distances at relatively low speeds in the purely electric driving.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a hybrid vehicle which has a compact drive train and which provides a comparatively low overall engine power a sufficiently high overall performance and thus a high ride comfort.
  • the basic principle of the invention is to couple two electric machines via a planetary gear with a differential gear, wherein one of the two electric machines can be supported by a "comparatively small" internal combustion engine.
  • the hybrid vehicle according to the invention comprises a differential gear having a differential case functioning as a transmission input and two transmission outputs formed by left and right output shafts.
  • a first "torque transmitting element" of the planetary gear is coupled to the differential carrier of the differential gear.
  • the first "torque transmitting element” is formed by a toothing of the differential carrier or by, for example, a toothed ring flanged to the differential carrier, which acts as the sun gear of the planetary gear.
  • a "second" torque transmitting element of the planetary gear is coupled to a first of the two electric machines.
  • the second torque transmitting element of the planetary gear may be formed by a planet carrier of the planetary gear.
  • On the planet carrier a plurality of meshing with the first torque transmitting element planet gears are rotatably mounted.
  • the third torque transmitting element may be formed by a ring gear of the planetary gear.
  • the differential carrier acts as a transmission input of the differential gear.
  • the electrical machines do not necessarily have to be at zero speed, but they can, for example, in the same direction, ie in the same direction but rotate with opposite moment direction. This has the advantage that the electric machines when starting the vehicle from a standing position need not overcome their respective "breakaway torque", which can avoid excessively high starting currents.
  • the second electric machine can be coupled via a clutch to the internal combustion engine. If the second electric machine is in the drive mode, the internal combustion engine can be used for "boosting" when the clutch is closed, ie. H. as drive support for the second electric machine. On the other hand, if the second electric machine operates in the generator operating mode, electric motor energy can be generated by combustion engine when the clutch is closed and the internal combustion engine is running.
  • the arrangement described above allows a very compact arrangement of the individual components both in a vehicle with front-wheel drive and in a vehicle with rear-wheel drive.
  • the two electrical machines as well as the internal combustion engine and the clutch can be arranged in the immediate vicinity of the differential gear.
  • the housing components of the electrical machines, the rear axle and the internal combustion engine can be flanged directly to each other or connected to a preassembled module together.
  • a center tunnel extending in the longitudinal direction of the hybrid vehicle may be formed in the floor area of the body. At least in part of the space formed by the center tunnel "electrical energy storage" such. B. battery cells or capacitors may be arranged, which supply the electric machines with electrical energy or cache regeneratively recuperated energy.
  • the electrical energy stores can be subdivided into two "strands" or "groups", of which each strand or each group is assigned to one of the two electrical machines.
  • Each of the two strings or each of the two groups may have a nominal voltage in the range between 40 volts and 400 volts, e.g. 48 volts. At such low voltages, unlike the high voltage systems of conventional hybrid vehicles, no dedicated contact protection is required.
  • each of the two electric machines provides an electromotive power in the range between 20 and 60 KW (eg each of 20 KW) and the internal combustion engine a drive power of approximately 20 KW.
  • the internal combustion engine can thus be relatively compact and lightweight. It is conceivable, e.g. to a one-, two- or three-cylinder engine, as found in the motorcycle area.
  • the hybrid vehicle may further be provided with an electrical interface, e.g. B. a "socket” equipped, which allows a "plug-in operation".
  • an electrical interface e.g. B. a "socket" equipped, which allows a "plug-in operation”.
  • the electrical system can be connected with the vehicle to the public power grid, which allows charging of electrical energy storage.
  • FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of the drive train 1 of a hybrid vehicle.
  • the drive train 1 has a differential gear 2 with a differential case acting as a transmission input 3 (see. FIG. 2 ) and a left and a right output shaft 4, 5. Furthermore, a planetary gear 6 (see. FIG. 2 ), an internal combustion engine 7 and a first electric machine 8 and a second electric machine 9, which is coupled via a coupling 10 directly or indirectly via a torsional vibration damping device not shown here with the crankshaft of the engine 7.
  • the differential carrier 3 has a toothing 11 which acts as a sun gear of the planetary gear 6. With the toothing 11 mesh several arranged in the circumferential direction of the toothing 11 planet gears, of which only one planetary gear 12 is shown here.
  • the planet gear 12 is rotatably mounted on a planetary carrier 13, which is coupled directly or indirectly via a translation stage with the electric machine 8. The planet carrier 13 can thus be driven by the electric machine 8. In generator mode, it is the other way round, ie the planet carrier 13 then drives the electric machine 8.
  • the planet gears 12 mesh further with a ring gear 14 which is rotationally coupled directly or indirectly via a translation stage, not shown here with the electric machine 9.
  • FIGS. 3a-3d show a drive train 1 of a hybrid vehicle (reference numerals see primary Figure 3c ).
  • the powertrain 1 a differential gear 2 with a differential carrier 3 and a left and a right output shaft 4 and 5, respectively.
  • a planetary gear 6 and an internal combustion engine 7, a first electric machine 8 and a second electric machine 9 are provided.
  • a sun gear 11 of the planetary gear 6 forms a first torque transmitting element of the planetary gear.
  • a planetary carrier 13 connected to the first electric machine 8 forms a second torque-transmitting element of the planetary gear 6.
  • a ring gear 14 forms a third torque-transmitting element of the planetary gear 6. The ring gear 14 is coupled to the second electric machine 9.
  • a clutch K1 is provided.
  • the planet carrier 13 or the first electric machine 8 connected thereto can be coupled to the sun gear 11 via the clutch K1.
  • the clutch K1 By closing the clutch K1 thus the planetary gear 6 can be "blocked".
  • a brake K2 is provided by means of which the ring gear 14 and the second electric machine 9 with respect to a vehicle-fixed component, such. B. a transmission housing 15, can be determined.
  • the differential carrier 3 is coupled via a transmission gear 16 with the first torque transmitting element 11.
  • the transmission gear 16 is formed by a plurality of "double planet", which are mounted on a planet carrier not shown here.
  • Each of the double planets has a first planet gear 17, which meshes with the differential carrier 3 and the first torque transmission element 11, wherein the first planet gears 17 are arranged in the region between the differential carrier 3 and the first torque transmission element 11.
  • a second planetary gear 18 is connected, which meshes with a vehicle or transmission-fixed shaft 19 with external teeth.
  • the transmission gear 16 is not essential.
  • the sun gear 11 which generally also referred to as the first torque transmitting element, be connected directly to the differential carrier 3.
  • the internal combustion engine 7 via a translation, which is here formed by two gears 20, 21, coupled to the planet carrier 13, which in turn is rotatably connected to the armature of the first machine 8.
  • FIGS. 3a-3d taken arrangement shown in detail.
  • FIG. 3a shows the operating state "force balance".
  • the clutch K1 and the brake K2 are open.
  • the two electric machines 8, 9 are “turned on”.
  • Switchched on means that they work as electric motors or as generators.
  • the internal combustion engine can also be switched on. This operating condition is suitable for low vehicle speed ranges where high dynamics are needed, ie to accelerate the vehicle from a standstill or out of a low speed range.
  • FIG. 3b shows an operating state in which the clutch K1 is closed and the brake K2 is open.
  • the electric machines 8, 9 run here at one and the same speed.
  • the internal combustion engine 7 may optionally be switched on.
  • the performances of the two electric machines 8, 9 add up in this state.
  • This operating condition is for a mean vehicle speed range of z. B. 50 - 150 km / h and offers in this speed range high dynamics.
  • Figure 3c shows an operating state in which the clutch K1 is opened and the brake K2 is closed.
  • the electric machine 8 operates in this operating state, whereas the electric machine 9 is switched off.
  • the internal combustion engine 7 can optionally be switched on or off.
  • This operating state is suitable for driving at substantially constant speed, wherein the electric machine 8 operates at a moderate speed of, for example, 1000-3000 rpm.
  • FIG 3d figure shows the operating state "Parking”, in which the vehicle can be turned off.
