A shelf assembly comprising at least two vertically mountable profiles (13) with a plurality of recesses for optionally engaging shelf bases (1), wherein at least two offset hooks (5) are provided or attachable at each shelf base (1) and with an illumination device attached at the shelf base (1), wherein the offset hooks (5) are made from an electrically conductive material or have an electrically conductive coating and are respectively contacted with a connecting and contact element, wherein the profiles (13) are also made from a conductive material or have a conductive coating and are connectable with a power source so that an electrical connection is provided from a power source over the profiles (13), the hooks (5) and the connecting- and contact elements to the illumination device when engaging the respective shelf base (1),
    wherein the illumination device includes light emitting diodes or lines of diodes, and
    wherein groove shaped recesses (2) that are oriented in longitudinal and/or transversal direction are arranged at a bottom side of the shelf base (1), wherein the recesses receive plural light emitting diodes or diode lines (LEDs) and electrical connecting- and contact elements.
  2. The arrangement according to claim 1, wherein the depth of the groove shaped recesses (2) for the light emitting diodes is selected so that radiation energy only exits essentially in a direction below the respective engaged shelf base (1) unless additional apertures are provided.
  3. The arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, wherein at least one additional recess is provided towards the top side of the shelf base for receiving light emitting diodes (15), wherein a radiation thus emitted illuminates a price tag or other indicator tag (19) or a similar object.
  4. The arrangement according to claim 3, wherein the price or indicator tag (19) is fixated at a forward longitudinal side of the shelf base (1), in particular within a slot cavity (18).
  5. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein a rail (11) is provided at least at a forward longitudinal side of the top side of the shelf base and/or a glass or acrylic pane (20) is arranged on the shelf base.
  6. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein a fuse and/or a buffer accumulator for uninterrupted power supply is provided in each shelf base partial circuit.
  7. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the shelf base includes an electrically insulating material, in particular wood, laminated wood, or plastic.
  8. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein a reflector or a reflective layer is provided for the light emitting diodes in the groove shaped recesses (2) in the shelf base (1).
  9. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the engagement hooks (5) are configured with angular variability through provided detents.
  10. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the vertical profiles transition into a base portion (14) or are insertable into a base portion, wherein a power supply for the illumination is connectable at the base portion (14).
  11. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the light emitting diode lines include a series- or parallel connection of single diodes embedded in a transparent hose or a transparent tube.
  12. The arrangement according to claim 11, wherein in particular the cross-sectional dimensions of the groove shaped recesses (2) for the light emitting diodes essentially correspond to the inner diameter of the hose and fixate the hose without additional devices through form locking.
  13. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the power supply is inserted into the vertical profiles and/or into the base portion.
  14. The arrangement according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the light emitting diode lines are embedded as series or parallel connection of particular diodes into a metal profile that is open on one side, in particular an aluminum profile, into a plastic profile that is open on one side or into a transparent plastic profile.
