Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Bodenbearbeitungsgerät mit einer rotierbaren Walze, welche in einem Gehäuse angeordnet ist und wenigstens teilweise aus einem in einem Teil des Gehäuses befindlichen Saugmund ragt, und welche durch einen Bürstenmotor angetrieben wird, wobei der Abstand der Rotationsachse der Walze zu dem Teil dadurch veränderbar ist, dass die Walze innerhalb des Gehäuses federnd gelagert ist und wobei die Drehachse der Antriebswelle des Bürstenmotors zur Rotationsachse der Walze beabstandet istThe invention relates to a harrow with a rotatable roller, which is arranged in a housing and at least partially protrudes from a suction port located in a part of the housing, and which is driven by a brush motor, wherein the distance of the axis of rotation of the roller to the part thereby variable in that the roller is resiliently mounted within the housing and wherein the axis of rotation of the drive shaft of the brush motor is spaced from the axis of rotation of the roller

Such a harrow is used for example as a permanently installed ground unit of an upright vacuum cleaner, but also as a floor nozzle for floor or hand vacuum cleaner. The roller is usually equipped with bristles, but it can also elastic lips or the like are used. The rotating brushes help to clean the vacuum cleaner because it removes the dirt from the floor coverings and, in the case of carpets, bends the fibers so that the suction also reaches the base of the fiber. The drive of such rollers can take place via an electric motor, a turbine arranged in the suction air flow or a transmission coupled to the chassis.

The present invention is limited to such tillage equipment in which the roller is driven by means of an electric motor. The distance of the roller to the ground is decisive for the cleaning result. The more pressure is applied to the floor, the higher the cleaning effect. The appropriate distance depends primarily on the floor covering to be processed. For hard floors or low-pile carpets, the distance between the roller and the floor can be small, but it should be selected larger for high-pile carpets.

There are known tillage equipment in which the adjustment of the distance by means of a stepping lever or a knob is done. In such devices, the possibility of adjustment is often forgotten or omitted for convenience. As a result, the cleaning result and the applied sliding force is not optimal, also can wear the bristles. Also known is an automatic adjustment of the rollers height. In this case, the processed floor covering is detected by a vacuum sensor and adjusted depending on the distance between the roller and ground. Such an automatic is complicated and expensive. In addition, it requires a certain amount of processing time in order to be able to reliably deduce the existing floor covering from the determined negative pressure. It is therefore too slow to react to changing floor coverings.

From the US 4,976,003 A is a soil cultivation device of the type mentioned in the form of a cleaning head for a vacuum cleaner known. This has a rotatably mounted brush, which is driven by a toothed belt by a motor. The brush is resiliently mounted within a guide in the cleaning head. When the brush springs, the distance between the brush axis and the motor drive axle changes, which has an unfavorable effect on the belt tension.

The US 2 416 420 A shows the cleaning head of a vacuum cleaner. This also has a spring-mounted brush. The brush is supported on side wings, one end of the wings being supported by a spring combination. A drive of the brush is not disclosed US 2004/0172784 A1 and the US Pat. No. 3,827,103 A show vacuum cleaners in which the entire front part of the cleaning head with the suction and spring together is stored. As a result, the suction mouth is pressed deep into the floor covering to be cleaned, which in turn increases the sliding forces.

The invention thus raises the problem of always setting an optimal distance between the roller and the ground in a cultivator of the type mentioned above with simple means.

According to the invention this problem is solved by a harrow with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and modifications of the invention will become apparent from the following subclaim.

The achievable with the invention advantages result from the fact that the roller is resiliently mounted within the housing. As a result, the optimum distance between the roller and the floor covering is established quickly and automatically at all times. The technical effort is low and the tillage device so cheaper than embodiments with a manual or sensor-controlled adjustment. The mechanical damping between housing and roller also ensures a pleasant, low noise and a quiet running. It is expedient if the resilient mounting takes place in such a way that the roller is pressed by means of spring force on the soil to be processed. The roller is held laterally by pivotally and resiliently mounted rockers. As a result, a simple structure is achieved. Since the axis of rotation of the drive shaft of the electric motor is spaced from the axis of rotation of the roller, it is also important that the axis of rotation of the drive shaft of the electric motor coincides with the pivot axes of the rockers. As a result, the distance between the drive shaft and roller remains constant, which is desirable when using drive belts or other transmission components.

The air generated by the engine fan 11 is blown through an opening 35 in the housing insert 5 and a corresponding opening 36 in the cover part 9 in the environment. In the opening 36, a filter frame 37 is used, which receives a not shown exhaust filter for cleaning the air blown out of fines. The filter frame 37 is covered by a grid receptacle 38 and a grid 39 in the lid part 9 and is interchangeable from there.

Both the tilting joint and the pivot joint between the bottom unit 2 and an upper body, not shown in the drawings, are formed by a rigid, fork-shaped channel component. This component also includes parts of the air duct from the suction port 15 to the upper body 3 and the air guide from the upper body 3 to the exhaust opening (openings 35 and 36). The component is referred to below as fork 40. It consists of two plastic parts, an upper shell 41 and a lower shell 42, which are interconnected by welding. To realize the tilting joint, the two ends 43 (right) and 44 (left) of the fork 40 are pivotally mounted in recesses 45 and 46 provided for this purpose, to avoid abrasion, they are respectively surrounded by metallic bushings 47 and 48. The left in the direction of travel fork 44 is designed as hollow and coupled via a seal 49 with the blower inlet 12. At the right in the direction of travel fork 43 a bearing pin 50 is formed. It also has an opening 51 which is connected via an elastic tube 52 to the suction port 15. In order to prevent the inside of the bottom unit 2 when tilting the upper body 3, the connecting region of the two fork ends 43 and 44, hereinafter referred to as fork web 53, surrounded by a front cover 54 and a rear cover 55 on the bottom unit 2, which perform the pivoting movement of the fork 40 with. The space between the front and rear cover and the housing insert 5 is bridged by aperture 56 and 57. At the left fork end 44, the first 58 of two cable channels 58 and 59 is attached. Furthermore, the fork ends 43 and 44 carry toothed segments 60 and 61 which cooperate with the wheel mechanisms 29 and 30. At the fork web 53 is a trim cover 62 for a connection cable, not shown attached. In order to lock the upright in the upright position, a step lever 63 is mounted on the housing insert 5, which engages in this position in the left fork end 44 and thus prevents the pivoting movement of the fork 40. By depressing the lever 63, the locking position can be released. In the latched position is also prevented by two spring-loaded bolts 64 and 65 a rotational movement. The air ducts, which are formed by the fork ends 43 and 44, are combined in the region of the fork web 53 to a first portion 66 of a coaxial line.

In the FIGS. 2 and 3 are the essential parts of the invention in section ( FIG. 2 ) or in perspective ( FIG. 3 ). Of the housing of the bottom unit 2 is here only the front housing lower part 7, in FIG. 2 in addition, the bumper 8 and parts of the housing insert 5 are shown. Within the housing lower part 7, the rotatable roller 171 is arranged. This wears as in FIG. 2 can be clearly seen, spirally revolving bristles 172 and is therefore also referred to as a brush roller. The roller 171 is mounted rotatably on both sides about the axis 152 in the wings 18 and 19. The brush motor 20 is arranged in a recess provided for this purpose for the front housing lower part 7. Its drive shaft 201 protrudes into the cover 22 and 23. It carries a pinion (not shown), which drives the toothed belt 21, which in turn on a circumferential toothing (not shown) on the roller 171 and drives them. The two rockers 18 and 19 are pivotally mounted in recesses in the front housing lower part 9, wherein the pivot axes 151 of both rockers 18 and 19 coincide with the axis of rotation 150 of the drive shaft 201. Between the wings 18 and 19 and the housing insert 5 springs 100 are arranged, which press the front portion of the rockers 18 and 19 and here the roller 171 through the suction port 15 to the ground. The springs are designed with respect to their clamping force so that they are compressed when placed on a commercial langflorigen carpet and consequently the roller 171 occupies a greater distance from the ground. As a result, the frictional forces of the bristles 172 are reduced to the carpet. The two-sided resilient mounting of the roller 171 allows an optimal adaptation of the bristle spacing when cleaning transitions between long pile carpet and short pile (or smooth floors). The coaxial arrangement of the drive shaft 201 and the rocker pivot axes 151 ensures that the toothed belt 21 performs the same rotation angle as the rockers 18 and 19 and is therefore not subject to changes in length. A lateral arrangement of the toothed belt in the vicinity of a rocker also ensures that act at a different deflection of the rockers 18 and 19, only small torsional forces on the toothed belt 21.
