Definitions

  • the invention relates to a seat, in particular a wheelchair seat, according to the preamble of claim 1 and a wheelchair with such a seat.
  • Wheelchairs are known as mobile seating for people who are impaired in their ability to walk due to physical disability. Wheelchair users will be able to be mobile to a certain extent. However, expressions such as “being wheelchair-bound” make it clear that "mobility” in this context means the wheelchair as a functional means of locomotion without involving the body of the wheelchair user in the sense of a physiological movement.
  • US 5,659,910 is a wheelchair for paralyzed people-known, which is usable by a folding mechanism of the backrest as a couch.
  • the wheelchair has a plurality of impact elements that extend in the transverse direction of the seat portion and the backrest substantially over the entire contact surface with the wheelchair user.
  • the effect elements are set in a continuous upward or downward movement by a plurality of rollers.
  • the purpose of this arrangement is to avoid bedsores or wounds of the wheelchair user, with the effect elements merely activating the skin or the outer muscle layers of the person sitting in the wheelchair. For reasons explained above, however, a physiological movement of the wheelchair user with respect to his posture would be extremely desirable, in particular by active movement of the bone apparatus.
  • the invention has the object, a seat of the type mentioned for physiological To further develop movement of the bone apparatus of the seated person within their sitting position.
  • the seat has a contact surface that contacts the body of a seated person, e.g. on the backrest or on the seating area.
  • a plurality of effect elements according to the invention is operatively connected to the contact surface.
  • the contact surface may be formed directly by the surface of the effect elements.
  • an arbitrary type of intermediate layer may be present between the body of the person and the effect elements, so that the contact surface is formed by the surface of the intermediate layer. This may be, for example, a seat and / or backrest upholstery, to which a number of the effect elements are attached.
  • the seat further comprises a backrest having a pivoting mechanism through which sideways movement can be introduced, and a motor drive for sideways movement.
  • a suitable movement of the action elements is suggested by which the contact surface and thus the body of the person is moved.
  • An intermediate layer which is optionally arranged between the person and the effect elements, follows the movement of the effect elements and is preferably adapted to the anatomy of the person such that the body part embedded therein is carried along.
  • a second embodiment provides for the alteration of physical properties of the active elements, in particular the generation of vibrations, electrical stimulation currents, magnetic fields or temperature gradients in them, which are supplied to the body of the person as physiological stimuli.
  • wheelchair seat 1 has a substantially horizontal seating area 10, which is formed by checkerboard pattern-like juxtaposition of individual effect elements 11a-e, each with a square surface 12.

  • the distance between the centrally arranged effect elements thus substantially corresponds to the spacing between the thighs of a seated wheelchair user.
  • Such an arrangement of ineffective effect elements 11a-f is avoided because this area does not come into contact with the body of the wheelchair user.
  • the space obtained by the spacer 23 is advantageously suitable for accommodating required operating elements for the action elements 11a-f, for example a drive and / or a transmission.
  • a backrest 30 comprises elongated, essentially strip-shaped, action elements 31a-g, 32, 33 which extend horizontally over the entire width of the backrest 30.
  • a total of seven identically formed effect elements 31a-g are provided, which are lined up in the longitudinal direction of the backrest 30.
  • a plate-shaped base member 32 At the lower end of the juxtaposition is a plate-shaped base member 32, while the upper end is formed by a rim member 33 with injury preventively rounded upper corners.
  • the base member 32 and the edge member 33 are also elements of action.
  • the surface of the action elements 31a-g, 32, 33 is arranged on the front side 38 of the backrest, whereby a further contact surface for the wheelchair user is formed, with whom he comes into contact with his sitting posture.
  • Adjacent active elements 31a-g are connected to each other and to the respective upper or lower end of the arrangement with the base element 32 and the edge element 33 by means of expandable connecting elements 34a, b. These are each on the left or right Edge region of the effect elements 31a-g side connecting elements 34a and 34b arranged. • a tilting bracket 49 is rotatably mounted. On the tilt bracket 49 of the electric motor 42 is mounted.
  • the tilting bar 49 has a substantially U-shape, which is arranged parallel to the back 39 of the backrest 30, wherein the two ends continue perpendicular to the backrest 30 at the upper open side of the U-shape, approximately at the level of the retaining clip 46, to surround the backrest 30 to the respective pivot point on the second pivot axis 44 from the rear side.
  • the mounting plate 50 extending substantially parallel to the back 39 of the backrest 30 is mounted, which projects at the other end behind the central portion of the backrest 30 in the region of the first pivot axis 35.

  • the pivot lever 36 In the position S2, the pivot lever 36 is in a position S1 in a clockwise direction about the first pivot axis 35 pivoted position. In this case, the attached to the upper edge member 33 right pivot arm of the pivot lever 36 is moved downward, while the left arm performs an upward movement. In addition to a generally rightward movement of the backrest 30 thereby follows a reduction in the spacing between the individual elements 31a-g, 32 and 33 on the right side, while the left-side distance increases. This leads to a compression of the right side arranged connecting elements 37b and to an extension of the left side arranged connecting elements 34a.
  • Such a concertina-like relative movement between the action elements 31a-g and the edge element 33 is essentially modeled on a sideways movement (lateral flexion) of the spine of a wheelchair user sitting in the wheelchair seat 1, whereby a one-sided compression or a different-sided stretching of the intervertebral disk takes place between the individual vertebrae. Via the contact surface 38, the sideways movement of the backrest 30 is transferable to the wheelchair user.

  • the backrest 30 in the Fig. 4 represented by solid lines.
  • a forward or backward tilted position K2 or K3 of the backrest 30 is shown in this regard, wherein the backrest 30 is shown only schematically by dashed contour lines.
  • the movement of the backrest 30 at the same time about the first and second pivot axis 35 and 44 corresponds to a superposition of in Fig. 3 shown sideways movement with an associated lateral curvature of the backrest 30, which is caused by the accordion-like relative movement of individual action elements 31a-g and the edge element 33, and in Fig. 4 shown alternately forward or backward tilting movement.
  • a three-dimensional continuous backrest movement is realized for the physiological movement of the back of a wheelchair user, which is adapted to the anatomy of the back movement, in particular the continuous spinal curvature in a lateral movement (lateral flexion) of the spine.
  • the continuous movement of the backrest is substantially matched to the anatomical requirements of the spine of the seated wheelchair user, wherein, for example, the position of the pivot axes 35, 44 can be adaptable to the body size of the wheelchair user.
