Abstract

A method for washing shrinkable textiles in a program-controlled washing machine consisting in washing textiles in a rotatably mounted washing drum according to a process corresponding to textile requirements with a water flow and possibly washing agents, wherein a starting and operating time of a drum driving motor are predefined. A washing machine for carrying out said method is also disclosed. At the beginning of the washing process, the motor operates with a staring time rate which is greater than a possible staring time and which decreases step by step or continuously during the process in order to reduce a mechanical energy applied to the textile according to the shrinkability thereof which strongly increases along with the increase of the washing process time. In such a way, the textile is pre-wetted with an optimal water quantity or soapy solution without producing the excessive textile shrinkage.

Description

The invention relates to a method for washing a laundry item from textiles susceptible to shrinkage in a program-controlled washing machine, which during the treatment is moved in a process section adapted to the needs of the textiles in a rotatably mounted laundry drum with the passage of water and, if appropriate, detergent. and turn-off duration of a motor that rotates the laundry drum, and a washing machine for performing this method.

Out DE 37 03 860 A1 For example, a method for washing wool is known, which is a shrinkage-prone type of textile. In this method, the laundry drum is driven during successive phases of movement and rest with a motor which accelerates the laundry drum over a ramp to a speed of 45 1 / min during the very short movement phases, wherein in successive phases of movement, the direction of rotation of the laundry drum changes. The duration of each resting phase is a multiple of the duration of the movement phases.

Due to the very short movement phases and the special start-up of the engine, the mechanical load on the textile and thus the shrinkage of the same should be reduced. A disadvantage of such a method is that the textiles are not completely wetted with water or alkali even after several phases of motion and are not sufficiently flooded for the purpose of cleaning.

At one off EP 475 462 A1 Known method for washing a shrink-sensitive laundry items a laundry drum of a washing machine is reversibly driven in a feeder. The laundry drum is equipped with so-called carriers with scooping devices for better moisture through the laundry, which are designed such that water is preferably absorbed in a Schöpfdrehrichtung of the drivers and in the reverse direction of rotation, the carriers are emptied. The rhythm of rotation of the laundry drum is adapted to the scooping device, with the laundry drum in the feeder with a duty cycle of 30% is operated. EP 475 462 A1 discloses the use of various rotary rhythms in which the laundry drum is driven in the scoop and reverse directions with the same or different percent duty cycle ratios.

Another washing machine and adapted to different types of textile process for washing laundry is out US 2003/0061840 A1 known. Such a washing machine has a laundry drum, which consists of two mutually rotatable halves. The washing processes are divided into several process sections in which, depending on a selected program, the laundry drum is operated with different switch-on durations. Within such process sections, the drum halves are driven either in the same direction or counter-rotating. One of the disclosed methods is suitable for washing shrink-sensitive textiles in which, in a main washing process, the drum halves are driven in the same direction in a first phase with a low duty cycle and in a subsequent phase with a very short duty cycle. This is followed by another phase, in which the drum halves are operated in opposite directions with a higher duty cycle compared to the previous phase.

The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method and a washing machine for performing the method that during a tailored to the needs of shrunken textiles washing process, the textiles are wetted and flooded early with the optimum amount of water or alkali and thus the Washing process for shrinkable textiles is optimized.

According to the invention, the method described in the introduction is formed by the ratio of the switch-on duration to the possible switch-on duration of the motor during of the process section is smaller in sections or continuously.

It has been shown that the shrinkage sensitivity of the textiles only rises sharply with the duration of treatment. Therefore, it is particularly advantageous to move the textile relatively strongly at the beginning of the washing process, whereby rapid wetting and good flooding of the textile with water or alkali can be achieved without causing excessive shrinkage of the textile. In the further course of the washing process, the shrinkage sensitivity increases due to the increasing duration of the action and, if appropriate, due to an increasing treatment temperature of the water or the alkali. Therefore, advantageously, in the inventive method, the degree of movement of the fabric is reduced with increasing treatment time in accordance with the increase in shrinkage sensitivity. Such a reduction of the movement of the textiles is achieved by reducing the ratio of the duty cycle to the possible duty cycle of the engine. This means that the duration of the respective switch-on times of the engine is reduced and / or the duration of the respective switch-off times is extended during the washing process progress.

In one embodiment of the invention, the rapid wetting of the textiles is advantageously assisted by raining the scooped water over the laundry during rotation of the laundry drum, on the inside of her coat a means for scooping the water from the bottom of a tub is arranged, if the scoop is located in one position higher than the laundry items. Thus, the textiles are not only wetted by the free liquor, but they are treated on all sides with water or alkali.

According to the developments of the invention according to claim 3 or 5, the laundry drum is rotated during the process section exclusively in one direction or with alternating directions of rotation, thereby advantageously a rearrangement of the textiles within the Wäschepostens is achieved so that all laundry is wetted evenly.

It has been shown that, when the laundry drum is rotated at a relatively low speed of, for example, 15 to 25 l / min, a rearrangement of the laundry is achieved particularly well if the laundry drum is moved exclusively in one direction of rotation, since the textiles are lifted at such a drum speed in the laundry drum little of the arranged on the drum shell drivers. The laundry items are thus gradually moved and relocated at a constant rotational direction, whereas rotating the drum at such a rotational speed in the opposite direction of rotation would move the laundry items back to the original location.

In contrast, turning the laundry drum with changing directions of rotation at a speed of, for example, 25 to 35 1 / min cheaper for a quick transfer of laundry within the Wäschepostens because at such speeds, the laundry items are further raised by the driver and the drum shell to the bottom the laundry drum fall back, whereby a random distribution of laundry achieved and the laundry items is thus redistributed very quickly.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the method, the rotation of the laundry drum in the direction in the effectiveness of the scoop takes place. As a result, the scooping device is optimally filled with water or liquor when the laundry drum is rotated, and when the scooping device is above the laundry item, the quantity of water taken in from the scooping device rains on the textiles.

The inventive method is advantageously developed in an operation of the laundry drum, which has a scooping device with an optimal effectiveness for one direction of rotation, that the laundry drum is rotated in the direction of effectiveness of the scoop with a duty ratio of this direction, which is greater than the duty cycle of the opposite direction is. Such a development can also be clearly supported in the operation of the laundry drum with changing directions of rapid wetting of the laundry costs through the optimal use of the scooping device.

The rapid wetting and flooding of the textiles is further promoted particularly advantageous in that at the beginning of the washing process, the duty cycle is greater than 12%. By this embodiment, a lack of movement at the beginning of the washing process is avoided and achieved an intensive penetration of the textile with water or alkali. The high proportion of movement of textiles causes additional high Laundry mechanics, which is particularly advantageous for the cleaning of the textile.

To avoid the shrinkage of the textiles, a duty cycle of less than 5% is selected in a further embodiment of the method at the end of the washing process. It has been found that just at the end of the washing process, the shrinkage sensitivity has increased so much due to the previous and ongoing softening of the textile, that with such a small movement of the textiles an excessive shrinkage of the same is effectively avoided. Since at the beginning of the washing process, the textiles are treated with a high proportion of movement, despite the slight movement at the end of the washing process required for the cleaning absolute Waschmechanikeintrag or the required mechanical energy ensures optimal cleaning and low shrinkage of the textiles achieved.

It has been shown that the drum rotation in coordination with the design features of the tub and / or the laundry drum at a speed of 15 to 35 1 / min for all possible embodiments of the method according to the invention is particularly advantageous. The exact speed value can be optimized depending on the geometry, function of the driver and the preferred direction of rotation.

Accordingly, the drum movement in coordination with the design features of the tub and / or the laundry drum with a break of 10 to 60 seconds has been found to be particularly suitable. As a result, the wash liquor has the opportunity to act sufficiently intense on the textiles.

A washing machine has an in Fig. 1 illustrated in a Laugebehälter 2 rotatably mounted laundry drum 1 and a motor, not shown, which drives the laundry drum 1. On the inside of the jacket of the laundry drum 1, three clothes hoppers 3 are fastened, which, when the laundry drum 1 rotates, cause the laundry items of the laundry item 6 to be raised from the bottom of the laundry drum 1 and fall back due to the force of gravity after the lifting. Thus, the washing mechanics required for cleaning is effected on the laundry items. The degree of movement or the washing mechanism of the laundry depends on the geometric dimensions of the laundry drum 1 and the driver 3 and the speed of the laundry drum 1. The drum diameter of the washing machine of the preferred embodiment is 50 cm. There are also other drum diameter possible, in which case in particular the drum speed must be adjusted accordingly for each drum diameter.

In Fig. 2 is a qualitative course of the shrinkage sensitivity SE of a textile, such as wool, depending on the exposure time t during a washing process shown. In this case, the exposure time t or the duration t of a washing process is plotted on the x-axis of the diagram and the shrinkage sensitivity SE is plotted on the y-axis. The shrinkage sensitivity SE indicates the capacity of a garment to what degree the length dimensions of the garment change during its treatment. In this case, the shrinkage sensitivity SE is expressed as a ratio of the instantaneous linear expansion to the longitudinal extension of the laundry prior to the treatment thereof in percent.

In addition to the exposure time, the shrinkage of the textiles by the entry of mechanical Energy influences, for example in the form of textile movement. Therefore, the parameters of the speed of the laundry drum 1 and the duty cycle of the engine, which significantly influence the textile movement to match the shrinkage sensitivity SE of the textiles. In addition to the textile movement, the shrinkage of the textile is also influenced by the temperature of the treatment medium.

As in Fig. 2 shown the shrinkage sensitivity SE is still relatively low at the beginning of the washing process, since the individual fibers are not yet swollen due to the low exposure time. Thus, at the beginning of the washing process, the otherwise very sensitive to shrinkage textile can be moved more, without causing excessive shrinkage of the textile by this movement.

The washing machine therefore has a program control device with means for controlling the motor and for controlling the course of the drum speed according to the FIGS. 4 or 5 ,

Das Einschaltdauerverhältnis ED während der Phase A ergibt sich somit gemäß der Formel ED = T_e / (T_e + T_a) zu 20 %.If the laundry drum 1 according to FIG. 4 is operated in one direction of rotation, the motor is turned on during the phase A successively for the duration T_e of 12 sec and off for 48 sec T_a, the motor is controlled such that during the switch-on the laundry drum 1 at a speed of 22 1 / min turns. The duty ratio ED during the phase A thus results according to the formula ED = T_e / (T_e + T_a) to 20%.

According to the increase in Fig. 2 shown shrinkage sensitivity ED is in the method according to Fig. 4 During phase B, the switch-on duration of the motor T_e is shortened to 7.2 sec (or to 1.8 sec during phase C) and the switch-off duration T_a correspondingly to 52.8 sec (or to 58.2 sec during phase C) ) extended. Thus, for the phase B, a duty ratio ED of 12% and, accordingly, for the phase C, a duty ratio of 3%. The process designed in this way causes the entry of mechanical energy in the textile decreases with increasing shrinkage sensitivity SE and at the same time preserves the total mechanical energy required for the cleaning of the textile. For example, in the washing process for shrinkage-endangered textiles known in the prior art, the laundry drum is provided with a constant duty ratio during the washing process ED moved by 12%. The resulting total acting on the textile mechanical energy is about as large as in the embodiment of the invention.
The change in the duty ratio ED during the washing process in the preferred embodiment according to FIG Fig. 4 is in the diagram according to Fig. 3 (solid line) shown. In alternative embodiments, the ratio of the duty cycle ED during the duration t of the washing process also according to the dashed line in Fig. 3 be continuously reduced.

In addition, the laundry drum 1 has in Fig. 1 illustrated Wäschemitnehmer 3, which are equipped with scooping devices 4 and have on their ridge sections holes 5, is rained by the water from the lower portion of the tub 2 scooped water over the laundry items 6 when the driver 3, as the driver 3.1 in the illustration, by turning the laundry drum 1 in the direction of the arrow 7 in a lying above the laundry item 6 device.

In the preferred embodiment, the laundry drum 1 rotates exclusively in the direction of arrow 7, thus the effectiveness of the scooping device is used optimally and the laundry items 6 on all sides acted upon with water or brine. As a result, the rapid wetting and flooding of the textiles of the laundry items 6 is advantageously supported.

According to the second embodiment, shown in FIG Fig. 5 , the washing drum 1 rotates with alternating directions of rotation at a speed of +33 or -33 1 / min. In this case, in the phase A, the duty cycle T_e1 of the motor with 15 sec for the rotation of the laundry drum 1 in the direction of in Fig. 1 in the direction of the efficiency of the scooping device 4 longer than the duty cycle T_e2 with 9 sec for the rotation of the laundry drum 1 in the opposite direction. During phase A, the switch-off durations T_a1 are 45 sec and T_a2 51 sec. The switch-on duration ratio ED _ <> of the motor of one direction of rotation is calculated according to the formula: ED _ <> = T_e <> / (T_e <> + T_a <>). Thus, the duty ratio ED_1 of the motor for the rotation of the laundry drum 1 in the direction of the efficiency of the scooping device 4 is 25% greater than the duty cycle ED_2 of the counterclockwise direction of 15%. By such a choice of the duty cycles ED_1 and ED_2, despite an operation of the Laundry drum with changing directions of the effectiveness of the scooping device 4 can be effectively used. The switch-on and switch-off durations T_e1, T_a1, T_e2 and T_a2 are selected in the second exemplary embodiment such that the average switch-on duration ratio based on the entire phase A is 20%, as in the first exemplary embodiment.

A Phase B Phase C T_e1 15 sec 9 sec 2,25 T_a1 45 sec 51 sec 57,75 T_e2 9 sec 5,4 sec 1,35 T_a2 51 sec 54,6 sec 58,65 ED_1 25% 15% 3,75 % ED_2 15% 9% 2,25 % mittlere ED 20 % 12 % 3% The on and off periods T_e1, T_a1, T_e2 and T_a2 of the engine in the method according to Fig. 5 are summarized in Table 1 below: <b> Table 1 </ b> Phase A Phase B Phase C T_e1 15 sec 9 sec 2.25 t_A1 45 sec 51 sec 57.75 T_e2 9 sec 5.4 sec 1.35 T_a2 51 sec 54.6 sec 58,65 ED_1 25% 15% 3.75% ED_2 15% 9% 2.25% middle ED 20% 12% 3%

The turn-on and turn-off times T_e and T_a of the engine and the rotational speeds of the laundry drum 1 are not limited to the numerical values given for the two exemplary embodiments in the inventive method, but they can take into account the needs of the textiles to be treated and the geometric dimensions of the laundry drum. 1 and the driver 3 are varied within the claimed ranges.
