Definitions
- the invention relates to a mattress having a length, a width and a height, with a support surface extending over the length and the width, to which the height extends vertically, and with a mattress core having at least two layers arranged one above the other in the direction of the height, one of which adjoins the bearing surface upper layer in an interface adjacent to a lower layer.
- a mattress core from two different layers, which may differ from each other in particular with regard to the degrees of hardness.
- a mattress seeks to form a mattress as a turning mattress with two bearing surfaces, which has a lower support hardness in the one position and a higher support hardness in the turned position.
- the two layers are formed substantially the same thickness and collide in an interface, which is formed as a plane and is parallel to the bearing surfaces.
- the present invention has for its object, a mattress of the type mentioned in such a way that with simple means a high level of comfort is achievable.
- a mattress of the type mentioned is inventively characterized in that the interface between the layers of the contour of a human body is adjusted, so that the upper layer has a varying over the length of the mattress height according to the invention.
- the mattress according to the invention thus has an upper layer, which largely determines the depth of penetration of the human body. Where a high penetration depth is desired, the upper layer has a high height. In the places where the body practically should not penetrate into the mattress, even a small amount of the upper layer is provided.
- the upper layer has a significantly lower spring rate than the mattress structure adjacent to the upper layer. Accordingly, the upper layer is rather "soft", so that it only slightly supports the lying on the support surface body with their own spring stiffness and is essentially compressed by the resting body, thus allowing the immersion of the body in the mattress. The limitation of the immersion then takes place through the lower structure of the mattress.
- an upper layer adjacent to the lower layer may be formed with a much higher spring hardness than the soft upper layer.
- the upper layer is harder than the lower layer. In this case, the upper layer will be formed at a much lower height than the lower layer.
- the interface preferably extends in wavy lines along the length of the mattress, so that gradual transitions of the penetration depth of the resting body into the mattress can be realized in a simple manner.
- the height of the upper layer is expediently constant over the width of the mattress, that is, changes only in the longitudinal direction of the mattress. Addressed here is the effective height of the upper layer, the air ducts or to vary their hardness, for example, may have incisions that do not change the effective height of the upper layer. However, the upper layer does not have to extend over the entire width of the mattress. It is quite possible to limit the permeability of the mattress permitting soft upper layer by a kind of peripheral frame with a higher spring rate, the circumferential frame can be formed by the material of the lower layer. This can be counteracted a fall of the person from the support surface during sleep.
- the lower layer has a course of height complementary to the course of the height of the upper layer, so that altogether a constant height of the mattress core arises.
- the hard intermediate layer has a substantially constant thickness.
- FIG. 1 shows a mattress core 1, which consists of an upper layer 2, a lower layer 3 and an intermediate layer 4.
- the layers 2, 3 complement with the intermediate layer 4 to a mattress core 1, which has a constant height H over the entire length of the mattress core 1.
- the height of the upper layer is not constant over the length of the mattress core 1, but forms with the lower layer 3 a wavy boundary surface 5, in which the intermediate layer 4 is in the illustrated embodiment with a substantially constant thickness.
- the substantially constant thickness of the intermediate layer 4 does not exclude that it is clearly reinforced in areas in which a special support of the resting on a support surface 6 human body, the intermediate layer 4.
- the strength of the intermediate layer 4 is, however, small compared to the height of the upper layer 2 and the lower layer. 3
- the interface 5 is adapted in its waveform to the contour of a human body, which rests, for example in a lateral position on the support surface 6 - and thus the top of Matrazenkems 1.
- the corresponding parts of the human body are drawn, the upper layer 2 by a trough with a greater height allows the low immersion of the head in the mattress, while by reducing the height of the upper layer 2, a support of the neck is achieved.
- an increase in the height of the upper layer 2 allows a deeper sinking in of the shoulder of the human body, while subsequently the not so deep penetrating waist is supported by the height of the upper layer 2 in this Area decreases.
- the contour in the region of the thigh and the lower leg is characterized by a slightly decreasing height of the upper layer 2, while under the feet of the body a minimum height of the upper layer 2 can be found.
- the upper layer 2 is formed of a soft material having a low spring hardness.
- the upper layer 2 thus allows a soft padded sinking of the overlying body with different by the respective height of the upper layer 2 Eininkgraden.
- the sinking of the body in the mattress core 1 is limited in the illustrated embodiment by a relatively hard intermediate layer 4.
- the lower layer is expediently designed with a greater spring stiffness than the upper layer 2, but softer than the intermediate layer 4.
- the intermediate layer 4 is thus responsible for the correct body support and at the same time provides in conjunction with the soft upper layer 2 for a uniform pressure distribution for the lying body.
- the lower layer which is softer than the intermediate layer 4, but which is harder than the upper layer 2, defines the overall elasticity and the comfort of the mattress core 1.
- a possible variant of the illustrated embodiment is that the upper layer 2 and the lower layer 3 are formed with the same spring hardness, while the intermediate layer 4 in contrast has a high hardness.
- the upper layer 2 is soft, the lower layer 3, however, rather firm.
- the intermediate layer 4 can then be omitted.
- this simpler design of the mattress core 1 allows optimal adaptation for a not so wide range of weight of the persons lying.
- the basic idea of the constructions according to the invention is that the sinking of the body into the mattress core 1 is determined by the soft upper layer 2, while the support comfort and the actual support elasticity are determined by the construction underneath with the lower layer 3 and possibly the intermediate layer 4 becomes.
- the Abstweil scholar one hand and the sinking of the body in the mattress core 1 is thus determined by different parts of the mattress core 1, so that the two parameters are quasi one another - at least largely - decoupled.
- the Abstützschi and the sinking depth can thus be independently selected and adjusted.
- an upper layer 2, 2 ' is provided on both possible bearing surfaces 6, 6' of the mattress formed as a turning mattress. Accordingly, between the lower layer 3, which here thus forms a central layer, and the upper layer 2 'from the point of view of the support surface 6', a further intermediate layer 4 'is provided.
- the contour shape for both support surfaces 6, 6 ' differently form, so as to provide a support surface 6 for a certain average height / body weight and the other support surface 6' for a significantly different average height / body weight.

Abstract
Description
- Figur 1
- einen skizzenhaften Längsschnitt durch einen Matratzenkern gemäß einer ersten Ausführungsform der Erfindung;
- Figur 2
