Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Presswerkzeug (1) mit zwei in Längsrichtung von einem hinteren Ende zu einem vorderen Ende verlaufenden Pressbackenhälften (2), die gelenkig miteinander verbunden sind und von einer Offenstellung in eine Schließstellung bringbar sind, wobei die Pressbackenhälften (2) am hinteren Ende jeweils eine Einlaufkontur (5) aufweisen, wobei die Einlaufkonturen (5) mit einem beweglichen Teil einer Presskontur (6) derart zusammenwirken, dass sich der bewegliche Teil der Presskontur (6), wenn er in Längsrichtung hin zum vorderen Ende der Pressbackenhälften (2) verschoben wird, an den Einlaufkonturen (5) entlang bewegt und diese auseinander drückt, um die Pressbackenhälften (2) von der Offenstellung in die Schließstellung zu bringen. Um ein einfach aufgebautes Presswerkzeug zu schaffen, mit dem auf einfache Weise auch Pressverbindungen mit einer großen Nennweite des Rohres herstellbar sind, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass die Geometrie des hinteren Endes der Pressbackenhälften (2) so ausgeführt ist, dass die beiden Pressbackenhälften (2) im Bereich ihres hinteren Endes in der Offenstellung derart überlappen können, dass der Öffnungswinkel der Pressbackenhälften (2) unabhängig vom Verlauf der jeweiligen Einlaufkontur (5) ist.
