Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a snow sliding board having a superior decoration and protection element with additional damping function.
  • a superior element of decoration and protection gives visual effects that are pleasant and attractive for the user and those around him. This element ensures, in addition to the aesthetic effect, a protective role of the structure of the board against external aggression, such as strokes, shocks.
  • the vibrations of the board have an influence on the behavior of the trajectories, on the attachment of the edges to the surface of the snow and on the overall comfort of the board.
  • a board with too much damping becomes difficult to drive and lacks precision and liveliness; the user's support becomes inaccurate.
  • an insufficiently damped board is too vibrating, tiring to drive and quickly unpleasant. A compromise must therefore be found, between the vibration damping and the rigidity for the transmission of the user's support guiding his board.
  • Document FR-2.616.340 discloses a damping device for a ski, which is embedded in a window formed in the upper element of decoration and protection.
  • the window including the damping device is positioned in front of the attachment.
  • the damping device comprises a first layer of a viscoelastic material, placed against the internal structure of the ski and associated by superposition with a free stress plate, of a metallic material which is flush with the upper surface of the ski. When using the ski, the vibrations of the entire ski are thus limited by the damping device.
  • this damping device can only work in the vertical direction, from the upper surface of the ski to the gliding sole and vice versa. Because of its embedding in the window, the metal plate has little movement to move horizontally, that is to say, substantially parallel to the upper surface of the ski.
  • this damping device can be used only being disposed outside the area provided for fixing. It can not significantly absorb shocks that directly affect the user's shoe.
  • US-5,143,394 also describes a device for damping the vibrations of a ski, under the effect of the impacts between the spatula and the heel and the bumps on the snow.
  • the device comprises one or more masses mounted in an opening and carried by a deformable membrane.
  • a main problem to be solved by the invention is to develop a gliding board that is both comfortable for the user damping vibrations and sufficiently nervous to give the user sensations of piloting by precise transmission of his supports.
  • a second problem is to achieve a gliding board with a damping device included in the upper element of decoration and protection.
  • Another problem is that of obtaining a board incorporating a damping device that can be disposed of where from the upper surface, from the heel to the spatula through the mounting area of the binding.
  • the gliding board is characterized in that the insert is integrated in the upper element of decoration and protection, being positioned in a recess in said upper decorative and protective element, the first piece and the second piece being located in continuity with the upper surface.
  • the insert is a damping device.
  • the first piece, the second piece and thus the insert remain substantially at the same level as the upper element of decoration and protection. Due to the integration or embedding in the recess formed in the upper element of decoration and protection, the damping device acts in a plane, substantially parallel to the surface of the board. This damping device will function as a mass-spring system, located on the surface of the board.
  • One of the materials has mechanical properties of rigidity and the other of the materials has mechanical properties of elasticity or viscoelasticity.
  • the elastic material When the damping device is positioned under the binding, the elastic material attenuates the vibrations and the more rigid material allows direct transmission to the board of the forces exerted by the user.
  • the damping device When the damping device is positioned on other areas of the board, the elastic material attenuates the vibrations transmitted to the more rigid material from the shocks suffered by the gliding board.
  • the recess and the insert may be provided at a mounting zone of a fastener intended for to secure the shoe of a user to the board.
  • the first piece (s) of elastomeric material may be positioned in the center of the insert.
  • the first piece or pieces of elastomeric material serve to damp the vibrations under the binding.
  • the first piece or pieces of elastomeric material may be surrounded on the upper surface by the second or second pieces of metal material.
  • fastening screws to the board can pass through the second or second pieces of metal material.
  • Two inserts can be provided on the board.
  • a stop before the attachment can be favorably attached to a first insert.
  • a rear heel of the binding may be attached to a second insert.
  • the recess and the insert may be provided between a fastening mounting area, intended to secure the shoe of a user to the board, and a spatula area.
  • the second or second pieces of metal material may preferentially be positioned in the center of the insert.
  • the metal part (s) have a mass and much greater inertia with respect to the elastomeric part (s). In this way, the metal part (s) act as a mass directly next to the first piece (s) of elastomeric material acting as a spring. The metal part (s) attenuate the vibrations by moving in a substantially vertical direction on the surface of the gliding board.
  • the second or second pieces of metal material may be surrounded on the upper surface by the first piece (s) of elastomeric material.
  • the second pieces of metallic material and the first pieces of elastomeric material may be of the same thickness. In another variant, the second pieces of metal material and the first pieces of elastomeric material may be of different thicknesses.
  • a board can be obtained by implementing a first production method.
  • the insert can thus be inlaid or embedded in the upper element, so as to form the recess.
  • the insert can be flush with the upper surface of the board.
  • a board can be obtained by implementing a second method of production.
  • the insert can thus be introduced into a window, forming the recess, cut beforehand in the upper element.
  • the seal between the insert and the upper element can be provided by a barrier polymer film having dimensions greater than those of the window.
  • the barrier polymer film can then be placed between the insert and an internal structure of the board, and be able to prevent a passage of a constituent material of the internal structure of the board.
  • a board can be obtained by implementing a third embodiment method.
  • the insert can thus be embedded in the upper element, so as to form the recess, and have at least one anchoring means.
  • the anchoring means may pass through at least one opening previously formed in the upper element, and penetrate into an internal structure of the board.
  • a board for gliding on snow for example an alpine ski (1)
  • the ski (1) comprises a lower face forming a gliding sole (6) delimited on either side by two lateral edges (7 and 8).
  • two lateral longitudinal reinforcing elements (9 and 11) are each established above the edges (7 and 8) and form the partial songs of skiing (1).
  • the ski (1) further comprises an internal structure (12), for example made by injecting two compounds, which after curing, form rigid polyurethane.
  • an internal structure (12) for example made by injecting two compounds, which after curing, form rigid polyurethane.
  • a first internal reinforcement 13
  • a second internal reinforcement 14
  • An upper face of the ski (1) is formed by an upper protective and decorative element (16).
  • the upper decoration and protection element (16) is mounted above the second internal reinforcement (14).
  • the upper decorative and protective element (16) consists, for example, of a mixture of Styrene-Acrylonitrile (SAN) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
  • Two elements of the binding (17), the front stop (18) and the rear heel (19) are mounted in the shoe area (4), to secure the shoe (not shown) of the user to the ski (1) .
  • the ski (1) with its upper protection and decoration element (16), comprises three inserts (21, 22 and 23) respectively forming three different damping devices (see FIGS. 1 to 5).
  • the three inserts (21, 22 and 23) are centered transversely to the median longitudinal axis (L) of the ski (1).
  • the first insert (21) is placed behind the pad area (4).
  • the rear heel (19) is generally positioned on this first insert (21) (see more particularly Figure 4).
  • the second insert (22) is placed in front of the pad zone (4).
  • the front stop (18) is generally positioned on this second insert (22) (see more particularly Figure 3).
  • the third insert (23) is placed in front of the front stop (18), closer to the spatula (2) than the pad area (4). Viewed from above, the third insert (23) has a generally oval shape.
  • the three inserts (21, 22 and 23) each comprise at least a first piece made of an elastomeric material contiguous and juxtaposed on the upper decoration and protection element (16), with at least a second piece in a metallic material.
  • the first part or parts and the second part or parts remain visible on the surface of the ski (1).
  • the first insert (21) comprises (FIGS. 2 and 4) two first pieces of elastomer (24) surrounded by a second piece of metal (26).
  • the second insert (22) comprises ( Figures 2 and 3) a first elastomeric piece (24) surrounded by a second metal piece (26).
  • the third insert (23) comprises ( Figures 2 and 5) a second metal piece (26) surrounded by a first elastomer piece (24).
  • the second metal parts (26) also facilitate the implantation of the anchoring screws of the elements of the binding (17), front stop (18) and rear heel (19), in the internal structure (12) of the ski (1) .
  • the second metal piece (26) acts as a feeder surrounded by the first piece of elastomer (24). Vibration compensation is by moving in all directions in a horizontal plane of the second metal piece (26) against the first elastomer piece (24).
  • the elastomeric material of the first part or pieces (24) may have a hardness of less than or equal to 85 Shore A, preferably equal to 60 Shore A.
  • the material also has a high damping coefficient to make the behavior on snow of the ski.
  • this elastomeric material may be chosen from the group comprising, alone or as a mixture, rubbers, thermoplastics based on styrene-butadiene rubber, polyurethanes and others.
  • the metal material of the second part or pieces (26) may be a strip chosen from the group comprising aluminum or its alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and others.
  • the insert (31) is inlaid (see FIG. 6) in the upper decorative and protective element (16) so as to be flush with with the upper surface of the ski (1).
  • the first elastomeric piece (24) is assembled in the center of the second metal piece (26), after cutting of the latter.
  • a window (27) is cut in the upper decoration and protection element (16). Then, the first elastomeric piece (24) is assembled in the center of the second metal piece (26), after cutting of the latter.
  • a polymer film (28) having dimensions greater than those of the insert (41) is glued under this insert (41). The film assembly (28) and insert (41) is then inserted into the window (27) of the upper element (16). The film (28) prevents any leakage of material, during polymerization, constituting the internal structure (12).
  • the insert (51) is inlaid (see FIG. 8) in the upper decoration and protection element (16). , so as to be flush with the upper surface of the ski (1).
  • the first elastomeric piece (24) and the second metal piece (26) are provided with anchor pins (29). These pins (29) pass through the upper decoration and protection element (16) and the second internal reinforcement (14), through openings (30), to be inserted into the internal structure (12).
  • a locking washer (32) can block any output pins (29) and prevent tearing of the first elastomeric piece (24) and the second metal piece (26).
