Description

The present invention relates to a window, French window, or the like, referred to as a breathable frame, comprising:
  • a first frame adapted to provide an opening function, comprising an outer rabbet for so-called outer glazing and an inner rabbet for a said inner glazing confining a blade of air between them,
  • a second frame adapted to provide a frame function in which the first frame is intended to be positioned in a closed position of the window, French window or the like,
  • means for establishing a fluid connection between the air knife and the outside, in said at least one closed position.

The prior art teaches such windows, French windows or the like. Generally, this type of window or French window said to breathable frame concerns windows type swinging leaf or tilt-and-turn, and offers multiple possibilities in terms of thermal insulation, sound, or light. For example, in the air gap between said outer glazing and said inner glazing, there may be placed a means of occultation of light, including a blind blade. By the term windows, patio doors or the like is meant all windows or French windows whose opening is mobile functional or whose opening has been permanently fixed in the closed position, and / or whose outside glazing and / or interior has been replaced by an occulting panel. The frame is said to be breathable in order to allow the air space to have a fluid relationship with the outside, ie by definition with the ambient environment situated on the side of the glazing or the so-called exterior panel, while avoiding a circulation of air passing through the surface of the blade between the two inner and outer glazings. In use, current, such windows or patio doors separate the interior of the exterior of a construction, and the fluid connection of the air gap with the outside essentially allows a balance of pressures in the blade of air, and to avoid or mitigate the risk of condensation inside it. The interior glazing may be double glazing for good thermal insulation, and the outer glazing may be a single thick glazing for good sound insulation of the window or French window.

More particularly, the documents are known FR 2 784 709 , DE-A-1 064 231 or FR 2 784 710 which describe such windows with breathable chassis. These windows include, according to the document FR 2 784 709 on the one hand in the context of the opening at least one passage or orifice disposed in the interval of the outer and inner glazing to allow the pressure equalization between the inter glazing area and the outside and, d ' on the other hand, in the frame, at least one passage or orifice which puts said interglazing zone sufficiently in communication with the outside of the window to establish this balancing of pressure or air circulation. According to the document FR 2 784 710 , said at at least one passage or orifice arranged in the frame of the opening opens into the interglazing zone and into a peripheral chamber which is delimited by the frame of the opening and the frame, this peripheral chamber communicating by appropriate means with the outside atmosphere of the window.

The document DE-A-1 064 231 discloses a window which has all the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Such windows or patio doors with breathable chassis have the disadvantage of requiring specific machining and seals in the rabbet between the opening and the frame. In addition, such a breathable frame device has the disadvantage of interacting with the hardware and drainages of the breathing frame. It should be noted that the path of the orifices or breathing passages is long and complex, thus causing losses to be compensated by larger fluid flow sections.

The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages and to provide other advantages. More specifically, it consists of a window, French window, or the like, referred to as a breathable frame, as defined by claim 1.

The establishment of a direct breathing through the opening, avoids having to work or machine the frame, and simplifies the breathing device by making it more direct. The window according to the invention also has the advantage of not requiring correspondence, and therefore adjustment for the breathing device, between the opening and the frame. The window according to the invention provides the outermost breathing possible due to a passage through the opening between the blade and the outside. The window according to the invention avoids any machining of the frame relative to the breathing device, resulting in a simplification of manufacture and thus in particular a saving in manufacturing time and a reduction in the risk of defects. The window according to the invention has the advantage of not requiring any seal between the opening and the frame, nor any machining or sealing in the rabbet between the opening and the frame. The invention minimizes the passage (s) of breathing due to a very short path through the thickness of the glazing. Moreover, such a configuration of the breathing passages makes it possible to have no impact on the frame of the opening. The glazing is generally made to measure, it would in this case be delivered with the fluidic passages. The manufacture of the frame is simplified since the breathing passages are made in the glazing and the or beadings.

As explained above, the means 6 for establishing a fluid connection between the air gap 4 and the outside 7 comprise passages 8 passing through the first frame 1 of the opening 16 and the second frame 5 or frame, these passages 8 comprising at least one duct 10 fixed to the frame, opening at one end on an opening 12 of the lower profile of the frame, and intended for the other end to be in correspondence of an opening 11 made in a profile 15 of the opening 1, which carries the outer rabbet 26 in which is housed the outer glazing, the opening 11 being in fluid communication with the air knife 4, as shown in FIG. figure 1 , through a passage 14 in the opening through a seal 13 of the air gap 4 and the profile 15 of the opening thermal break entering the constitution of the frame 1 of the opening and in contact with the frame, as shown on the figure 1 in the closed position of the window.

Ces éléments de la figure 2 fonctionnellement similaires à ceux de la figure 1 portent la même référence numérique additionnée du nombre 300.The window partially shown on the figure 2 contains elements of the state of the art similar to those of the figure 1 to better highlight the invention of the prior art. These elements of the figure 2 functionally similar to those of the figure 1 bear the same numerical reference plus the number 300.

The breathable frame window shown on the figure 2 includes:
  • a first frame 301 capable of providing an opening function, comprising an outer rabbet 326 for an outer glazing 302 and an inner rabbet for an inner glazing 303 enclosing an air gap 304 between the latter,
  • a second frame 305 capable of providing a frame function in which the first frame is intended to be positioned in a closed position of the window, French window or the like,
  • means for establishing a fluid connection between the air knife and the outside 307, in said at least one closed position,
  • at least one fluid passage 320, one end 321 of which opens on a surface of the first frame in contact with the outside 307, and the other end 322 of which opens into the air space 304,
  • said at least one fluid passage 320 being formed in the outer glazing 302, and intercepting an edge 341 thereof,
  • the outer glazing 302 being fixed through a baffle 342 having at least one fluid passage therethrough.

As for the figure 1 , the frame 301 of the frame 316 comprises, in known manner, an inner profile 328 and an outer profile 315 with a thermal break fastened to the inner profile 328, as shown in FIG. figure 2 .

As shown on the figure 2 , the outer rabbet 326 of the peripheral profile 315 of the first frame 301, and the outer glazing 302 are advantageously aligned in a same plane forming the outer surface of the opening. Such a configuration allows to maintain an aesthetic as needed, sought flatness of the facades. We notice on the figure 2 that when the frame 305 comprises an outer flap on which the leaf 316 when it is closed, more particularly the glazing bead 342 and the peripheral profile 315, as the case may be, the fluid passages 320 as described through FIG. bead 342 and glazing 302 provide a quasi-continuity of the flatness of the outer surface of the window between the beating of the frame and the outer glazing.

The constituent profiles of the frame 305, inside and outside, are generally made of metal alloy or plastic materials, separated by bars with thermal break, and the constituent sections of the opening 316, interior 328 and outer 315, can be respectively metal and plastic, in order to obtain thermal break profiles for the frame and the opening. The bead 342 may be made of metal material or plastic.

It will be noted that with such a device, the breathing function is made independent of the door frame of the opening comprising the thermal break profile 315 and the inner profile for example metal 328, the frame 305, the sealing profile 313. The breathing of the air knife 304 is ensured that the opening 316 is in the open position or in the closed position on the frame 305.

As shown on the figure 2 a fluid passage 320 advantageously comprises dust filter means 333 which are arranged across the fluid passage 320, preferably against the opening 322, as shown in FIG. figure 2 . The filter 333 may advantageously be a spin filter, in particular of the type known mechanical stainless steel filter, which allows not only to stop dust but also and more widely insects so that all these objects do not enter the air gap 304. The filter thus placed can be replaced if necessary without disassembly of the fills . The main seal of the frame of the opening is thus not questioned during this maintenance operation.

It should be noted that the window according to figure 2 , may or may not comprise a seal (not shown) between the glazing bead 342 for fixing the outer glazing 302 and the frame 305, the latter possibly including, in a suitable and known manner, holes 335 for discharging water if necessary, such as represented on the figure 2 . On the figure 2 no sealing between the glazing bead 342 of the outer glazing 302 and the frame 305 is shown.

The fluid passages 320 can advantageously be provided directly through through openings made in the thickness of the outer glazing 302, which may take the form of notches whose dimensions are determined according to the needs as a function of the volume of the air gap 304 The outer glazing 302 is quenched. The fluid passages 320 are preferably arranged on the lower part of the glazing opening into the bottom of the air gap 304, as shown in FIG. figure 2 . The fluidic passages 320 preferably comprise an opening 322 on the inner face of the outer glazing 302, opening into the vertical face of the air gap, and an opening 321 directed downwards in order to prevent any penetration of water into the air gap: for this purpose, the through openings in the glazing 302 may advantageously be equipped with protective vents 340, fixed in the openings of the glazing, and advantageously to orient the opening 321 downwards and further to fix inside thereof the anti-dust and anti-insect filter 333, for example as described above, as shown in FIG. figure 2 . Fixing the mouths 340 may for example be provided by clipping. The fluid passages 320 in the outer glazing 302 may respectively take the form of oblong slots in a quantity determined according to the needs to allow breathing of the air space.

Les moyens de clipage 351 pourront également avantageusement fonctionner en utilisant l'élasticité du matériau constitutif de la bouche 340.The mouths 340 will for example be identical for the same opening, one of them per fluid passage 320. A mouth 340 will preferably be tubular, of cylindrical shape with a circular cross section, or slightly conical, which may comprise a stop 350 in translation on the side of the air gap 304 to be locked on the inner surface of the outer glazing 302, as shown in FIG. figure 2 , and may further comprise means 351 clipping on the bead 342 also as shown in the figure 2 . A mouth 340 will advantageously be held in position on the bead 342 in which it fits into a hole made therein corresponding to the section of the mouth 340 in order to obtain a suitable aesthetic and a determined position of the outlet of the 40 mouth on the exterior facade. On the side of the air gap 304, the mouth 340 is advantageously held by the stop 350 allowing a security of maintaining the mouth 340 in the fluid passage 320. The appropriate inclination of the mouth 340 in the vertical plane, defined according to the outlet position 321 of the mouth and the position of the inlet 322 of the mouth in the air gap 304 will be made possible by the oblong light made in the glazing 302 allowing multiple positions of inclination of the mouth 340 in the vertical plane. The length of a mouth 340 depends on the thickness of the outer glazing 302, and will preferably be determined so as to be greater than the thickness of the glazing 302, plus the thickness of the glazing bead 342 thereof. this. The mouths 340 may advantageously be placed in each of the fluid passages 320 formed in the glazing 302 and the baffle 342, after mounting the glazing 302 in its rabbet 326 and the installation of the bead 342. The mouths 340 may be made of plastic material, preferably deformable, so that the stop 350 may have a certain elastic deformation to allow its crossing beyond the passage of the outer glazing 302 and its return to stop position after crossing. The clipping means 351 may also advantageously operate using the elasticity of the material constituting the mouth 340.

As shown on the figure 2 , and described above, the fluid passages 320 formed in the outer glazing 302 of the leaf 316, intercept an edge 341 of the outer glazing 302, the lower edge of the glazing in Figure 5, preferably.

The essential differences between the example according to the invention represented on the figure 2 and the example of the prior art of the figure 1 resident:
  • in the absence of any passage or breathing duct of the air gap 304 passing through the frame 305, and the space 325 between the frame 305 and the sash 316,
  • in the advantageous absence of any passage or breathing duct of the air knife 304 passing through the section 315 thermal break of the frame 301 of the leaf 316,
  • in the advantageous presence of a plurality of fluid passages 320 formed in the outer glazing 302 of the sash 316, according to an essential means of the invention,
  • in the presence of a plurality of fluid passages 320 passing through the baffle 342 for fixing the outer glazing 302 in the outer rebate 326 of the profile 315 of the frame 301 of the opening, in correspondence with the plurality of fluid passages 320 formed in the glazing unit outside 302, as shown on the figure 2 according to an essential means of the invention.

As shown on the figure 2 , the fluid passages 320 for breathing the air knife 304 advantageously open precisely in the lower angle of the blade, at the bottom thereof, so that a portion of the inlet 322 of the mouth protector 340, defining the inlet of the fluid passage 320, is aligned with the bottom surface of the blade 304. The fluid passages 320 advantageously comprise a downward inclination, given by an inclination of each mouth 340, made easy by the elongated vertical light form of the opening through the glazing 302 and opening on the edge thereof, as illustrated on the figure 2 . Thus, viewed from the outside, the breathing orifices are located as low as possible while being above the upright 305, that is to say above the flap of the frame 305, when the door is in the closed position. on the frame.

L'invention s'applique à toute fenêtre, porte-fenêtre, ou analogue dit à châssis respirant. The invention applies to any window, French window, or the like said to breathable frame.
