- an electrical apparatus comprising a face having at least one opening giving access to a terminal adapted to receive a tooth of a horizontal distribution comb arranged to be arranged vis-à-vis said apparatus in a left-right direction , characterized in that said face has a recess, located away from said orifice in said left-right direction, adapted to receive a tool for extracting said comb, said recess being delimited at least by a bottom surface and by a lateral surface, said bottom surface being recessed with respect to a base surface which defines the general plane along which said face faces, said lateral surface being located between said bottom surface and said base surface.
- the recess makes it possible to exert this effort in good conditions with a tool as common as a screwdriver with flat blade placed first in the recess facing a portion of the comb located between two consecutive teeth and then making toggle this tool to move the comb away from the device.
- the modular circuit breaker 1 illustrated on the figure 1 has a generally parallelepipedal shape.
- main faces 2 and side faces extending from one to the other of the main faces 2, namely a rear face 3, a lower face 4, a front face 5 and an upper face 6.
- the rear face 3 has a notch 7 for mounting the circuit breaker 1 on a standard rail with a ⁇ profile such as the rail 30 shown in FIG. figure 3 .
- the lower face 4 has two access ports to screw terminals (not visible in the drawings).
- the front face 5 has, in the central position, about half of its length, a nose 8 having an operating lever 9. Under the nose 8 are two orifices 10 and 11 each allowing access to the head of the the screw of one of the terminals for which an access orifice is formed in the lower face 4.
- the upper face 6 has two orifices 12 and 13 each giving access to one of the two insertion terminals 14 ( figure 2 ) that circuit breaker 1 has.
- Each terminal 14 comprises a clamp 15, a spring 16 and a mounting and connecting block 17.
- the clamp 15 is made of metal material good conductor of electricity, here tinned copper. She is in the general shape of a lyre. It has two lateral sections 20A and 20B each connected at one end to a respective end of a generally rectilinear intermediate section 20C. The sections 20A and 20B are symmetrical, that is to say that one is the mirror image of the other.
- the sections 20A and 20B From their end opposite the intermediate section 20C, that is to say from their distal end, the sections 20A and 20B approach one another to an inflection zone 21 where they are closest to each other. Between the inflection zone 21 and the intermediate section 20C, the sections 20A and 20B deviate from each other, each section having in this part a conformation which is here relatively rectilinear.
- the spring 16 is made of metallic material having good elasticity, here in spring steel. It has a general shape C. It closely surrounds the portion of the clamp 15 comprising the intermediate portion 20C and the portion of each of the sections 20A and 20B located between the section 20C and the inflection zone 21, the ends of the spring 16 each bearing against the outer face of one of the sections 20A and 20B at the inflection zone 21.
- the block 17 is here made in one piece with the clamp 15, to which it is connected by the edge of the intermediate section 20C located at the rear on the figure 2 , at the level of a setback in slight overhang identical to that seen in front on the figure 2 .
- the block 17 is flat and extends on a plane parallel to that along which are generally oriented the clamp 15 and the spring 16.
- the block 17 is disposed, relative to the intermediate section 20C, on the side opposite to that where the sections 20A and 20B, that is to say that it is arranged on the side seen below.
- the pad 17 makes it possible to operate the mechanical fixing of the terminal 14 in the circuit-breaker 1 and the electrical connection of the terminal 14 to the internal circuit at the circuit-breaker 1.
- Each terminal 14 is disposed in the circuit breaker 1 parallel to the main faces 2 with the distal ends of the sections 20A and 20B located near the face 6, the space between the sections 20A and 20B being aligned with the orifice 12 or with the orifice 13.
- Each of the terminals 14 constitutes an input terminal for one of the poles of an alternating current source, here a neutral pole and a phase pole.
- the screw terminals whose access ports are located in the lower face 4 and controlled by the orifices 10 and 11 of the front face 2, are in turn output terminals to a portion of a electrical installation protected by the internal circuit of the circuit breaker 1.
- the power supply of the circuit-breaker 1 is intended to be carried out by two conventional unipolar horizontal distribution combs, carried respectively at the neutral potential and the phase potential, such that the combs 25A and 25B shown on the FIG. Figures 3 to 5 .
- the combs 25A and 25B are here identical. They each comprise a sill 26 in the form of a continuous strip from which project a plurality of teeth 27, here thirteen in number.
- the sill 26 and the teeth 27 are made of a single piece in a metal material good conductor of electricity.
- the sill 26 and the teeth 27 are here oriented in the same plane.
- the teeth 27 are regularly distributed, following a step (center distance between two consecutive teeth) corresponding to the width of a circuit breaker 1, that is to say the normalized distance between its side faces 2 known as the "module", which is of the order of 18 mm.
- the combs 25A and 25B each comprise, in addition to the sill 26 and the teeth 27, a casing 28 of U-shaped insulating material which covers the sill 26 of its wafer to the root of the teeth 27.
- edge of the sill 26 is rectilinear and located at the same level as the edge of the envelope 28 (see figure 4 the cut portion of the envelope 28).
- Each terminal 14 is provided to receive a tooth such as 27, by simple insertion into the clamp 15, with of course the insertion which is on the side of the distal end of the sections 20A and 20B and the comb of which the tooth is part. which is oriented transversely to the terminal, that is to say in a left-right direction.
- the conformation of the terminal 14 and the tooth 27 are such that after insertion the tooth is strongly gripped by the clamp 15 at the zones of inflection 21, so that a good electrical contact is established.
- the orifices 12 and 13 formed in the upper face 6 of the circuit breaker 1 each allow a tooth 27 to access the insertion terminal 14 located just below.
- the orifices 12 and 13 are offset in the width direction of the circuit breaker 1, the orifice 12 being here on the left side and the orifice 13 on the right side. They are also offset in the direction of the depth, the orifice 12 being located behind the orifice 13.
- the teeth of the same comb for example the comb 25A
- the teeth of another comb for example the comb 25B
- the devices arranged side by side are not circuit breakers 1, but other modular devices having a upper face similar to the face 6, and in any case with access ports 12 and 13 arranged in the same way.
- the set of devices mounted on the rail 30 comprises, as a head unit group, a differential switch 31 and a set of twelve circuit breakers 1 of which only the two closest to the switch 31 have been illustrated, not to overload the drawing.
- the differential switch 31 is of the type described in the French patent 2751 162 .
- Its upper face 32 has two orifices 33 and 34 for access to input screw terminals and two orifices 35 and 36 for access to output terminals.
- the input terminals and the output terminals of the switch 31 are screw terminals.
- the front face of the switch 31 has orifices 37 to 40 each allowing access to the clamping screw of one of the input or output terminals.
- the arrangement of the orifices 33 and 34 relative to the rear face and to the left main face of the switch 31 is identical to that of the orifices 12 and 13 with respect to the corresponding faces of the circuit breaker 1, and likewise for the orifices 35 and 36 but vis-à-vis the right main face.
- the left extreme tooth 27 of the comb 25A can be inserted into the orifice 35 and the other teeth 27 of this comb into the orifices 12 of the circuit breakers 1 while the extreme left tooth of the comb 25B can be inserted into the orifice 36 and the other teeth of this comb in the orifices 13 of the circuit breakers 1.
- Clamping of the output terminal corresponding to the orifice 35 is effected by means of a screwdriver inserted into the orifice 39 and the clamping of the terminal corresponding to the orifice 36 is effected by means of a screwdriver engaged in the orifice 40.
- the partition 41 projecting from the upper face 32 of the switch 31 serves, as explained in FIG. French patent 2,751,162 to avoid inadvertently arranging the same comb both in an output terminal (port 35 or 36) and in an input terminal (port 33 or 34), which would bypass the switch 31.
- the input terminals of the switch 31 are supplied by cables (not shown) connected to a point of connection to the electricity distribution network.
- the upper face 6 has a base surface 45 which defines the general plane along which is oriented the face 6.

- the face 6 has a bowl 47 delimited by a bottom surface 48, a front lateral surface 49, a left lateral surface 50, a rear lateral surface 51 and a straight lateral surface 52 .
- the bottom surface 48 is rectangular and oriented parallel to the base surface 45, the distance between the surfaces 45 and 48, the depth of the bowl 47 being here of the order of 1.5 mm.
- the front side surface 49 is inclined backwards and toward the bottom surface 48 while the side surfaces 50, 51 and 52 are straight.
- the gap between the left lateral surface 50 and the right lateral surface 52, ie the width of the bowl 47, is of the order of 6.5 mm.

- the rear lateral surface 51 is disposed behind the orifice 13 and in front of the orifice 12.
- the face 6 has a tooth 53 projecting from the base surface 45.
- the face 6 has a bowl 55 having a bottom surface 56, a front lateral wall 57, a left lateral surface 58, a rear lateral surface 59 and a right side surface 60.
- the bottom surface 56 of the bowl 55 is rectangular and oriented parallel to the base surface 45, the distance between the surfaces 45 and 56, the depth of the bowl 55. being the same as the distance between surfaces 45 and 48.
- the front side surface 57 of the bowl 55 is tilted back and toward the bottom surface 56 while the side surfaces 58, 59 and 60 are straight.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to electrical devices adapted to cooperate with a horizontal distribution comb.
The invention aims at such an apparatus offering a simple and convenient cooperation with the horizontal distribution combs.
It proposes for this purpose an electrical apparatus comprising a face having at least one opening giving access to a terminal adapted to receive a tooth of a horizontal distribution comb arranged to be arranged vis-à-vis said apparatus in a left-right direction , characterized in that said face has a recess, located away from said orifice in said left-right direction, adapted to receive a tool for extracting said comb, said recess being delimited at least by a bottom surface and by a lateral surface, said bottom surface being recessed with respect to a base surface which defines the general plane along which said face faces, said lateral surface being located between said bottom surface and said base surface.
Thus, even if the extraction force to be exerted to disengage the comb from the apparatus is relatively large, which is for example the case if the terminal to which the orifice gives access is provided with an insertion clamp strongly clamping the tooth, the recess makes it possible to exert this effort in good conditions with a tool as common as a screwdriver with flat blade placed first in the recess facing a portion of the comb located between two consecutive teeth and then making toggle this tool to move the comb away from the device.

The
The
From their end opposite the
The
Each terminal 14 is disposed in the circuit breaker 1 parallel to the
Each of the
The screw terminals whose access ports are located in the
The
Each terminal 14 is provided to receive a tooth such as 27, by simple insertion into the
The conformation of the terminal 14 and the
The
The above also applies if the devices arranged side by side are not circuit breakers 1, but other modular devices having a upper face similar to the
Its
The input terminals and the output terminals of the
The arrangement of the
The input terminals of the
We will now describe in detail the arrangements that the
The
To the left of the
The top of the front
To the right of the
Likewise for the
The gap between the left
On the other hand, the
The inclination of the front
The end of the latter is then facing a portion of the
It will be noted that provision has been made, for both the
In a variant not shown, the orifice such as 12, located behind, is arranged on the right side rather than the left side and the orifice such as 13, located in front of the left side rather than the right side, with good heard the bowl such as 47 which is then located to the right of the orifice such as 13 and in front of the orifice such as 12 while the bowl such as 55 is located behind the orifice such as 13 and left of the orifice such as 12.
In another variant not shown, the
In another variant not shown, the bowl such as 47 or 55 is replaced by a bowl shaped differently, or by another type of recess defined by a bottom surface such as 48 or 56 and a single side surface right or left such than 50, 52, 58 or 60.
In another variant not shown, the abutment abutment surfaces 46 are shaped differently, they are for example formed directly by a portion of the
Many other variants are possible depending on the circumstances, and it is recalled in this regard that the invention is not limited to the examples described and shown.
