Somit ist der Lüfter einschließlich seines Lüftergehäuses quasi schallgedämmt, dafür aber den Wassertröpfchen, den Wasser- und Staubtröpfchen sowie den Staubkörnern ausgesetzt, ganz davon abgesehen, dass er mittig in diesem Rohgasstrom angeordnet ist, also dass auch Reparaturarbeiten und ähnliches erheblich erschwert sind. Bei dieser Lösung sorgt der Lüfter mit seinem Lüfterrad dafür, dass der Rohgasstrom durch den Entstauber so hindurchgezogen wird, dass er von den Staubpartikeln befreit werden kann, sei es durch Zusatz von Wasser, sei es bei Trockenfiltern dadurch, dass der Luftstrom durch entsprechende, den Staub zurückhaltende Tücher hindurchgeführt wird. Darüber hinaus sind auch Geräte, also Lüfter bekannt, die außerhalb des Entstaubers angeordnet sind, mit denen aber ebenfalls der Rohgasstrom gezielt durch den Entstauber hindurchgeführt wird. Beim Einsatz in Zusammenhang mit Entstaubern aber auch bei anderen Einsätzen ist es erforderlich, zur Verringerung der Umweltbelastung Schalldämpfer einzusetzen. Dies kann, wie bei der DE 198 53 190 A1 dadurch geschehen, dass der gesamte Lüfter mit seinem Lüftergehäuse in einem großen Raum angeordnet ist, sodass die Lüftergeräusche nur bedingt nach außen dringen können. In der Regel sind aber diese Schalldämpfer so dem Lüftergehäuse zugeordnet, dass die Schallbelastung des Lüfterrades aus dem Lüftergehäuse ungedämmt herausdringen kann. Nachteilig dabei ist ein großer Aufwand an Baumasse für den Schalldämpfer und die Notwendigkeit, das Lüftergehäuse sowohl eingangsseitig wie auch ausgangsseitig schallmäßig zu dämmen, um eine wirksame Schalldämmung sicherzustellen. Aus der DE 24 43 858 A ist ein Entstauber bekannt, bei dem der Lüfterstation ein Drallstromerzeuger vor- und nachgeschaltet ist, wobei durch eingesprühtes Wasser und die erzeugte Drallströmung ein Schalldämmeffekt bewirkt werden soll. Abgesehen davon, dass dieser Entstauber nur als Nassentstauber verwirklicht werden kann, genügt der erzielte "Dämmeffekt" den geltenden Schalldämmungsvorschriften bei weitem nicht.
