Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a product dispensing pump manually operated fluid, as well as a product dispensing device fluid comprising such a pump.
  • a fluid dispensing pump generally comprises a pump body in which slides a piston between a rest position and a dispensing position.
  • the pump body can contain a pump chamber generally defined between an inlet valve and an outlet valve.
  • sealing at the outlet valve is essential during actuation to avoid any leakage before the end of the actuation, and, similarly, sealing at the inlet flap must also be optimal in order to avoid any reflux of the product contained in the pump chamber towards the tank at the time of actuation.
  • Another problem that may arise relates to the priming, that is to say the evacuation of the air contained in the chamber before the first pump operation.
  • the air is evacuated through the outlet valve towards the orifice of distribution.
  • This solution is not always suitable when the device has a shutter at the dispensing orifice, and in particular when such a shutter does not allow the evacuation of air during priming.
  • Another solution is to fit a hole in the pump body and to evacuate the air through this hole. This solution implies, however, that after the priming, it is necessary to provide a means of closing this hole which can make the structure of the pump relatively complex.
  • the present invention aims to provide a dispensing pump of fluid product that does not reproduce the aforementioned disadvantages.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a fluid dispensing pump which ensures a perfect seal at the outlet valve and the inlet valve during actuation of the pump. eliminating any risk of leakage or reflux of the product contained inside the pump chamber during actuation, and thus ensuring the accuracy and reproducibility of the assay.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a pump for fluid dispensing which ensures in a simple way easy priming of this pump, even when the device incorporating the pump comprises a shutter.
  • the present invention also aims to provide such a pump of fluid dispensing that is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and to assemble.
  • the subject of the present invention is therefore a pump for dispensing fluid product with manual operation, as described in claim 1.
  • Advantageous embodiments are described in the claims dependent.
  • the present invention also relates to a dispensing device fluid product comprising a pump as defined above.
  • the pump comprises a pump body 10 in which slides a piston 50 between a position of rest (shown in FIGS. 1 and 4) and a dispensing position (shown in Figures 3 and 6).
  • the piston 50 is connected, preferably integrally, with an actuating rod 60 on which the user exerts an axial force, for example by means of a pusher or a head of distribution (not shown).
  • the actuating rod 60 can be hollow and generally includes an expulsion channel 65 allowing the expulsion of the product.
  • the pump body 10 contains a pump chamber 20 defined between an inlet valve 30 and an outlet valve 40.
  • the inlet valve 30 comprises a inlet valve member 31 which cooperates with the pump body 10 or a integral element thereof to define the opening and closing positions of said inlet valve 30.
  • the outlet valve 40 has a outlet valve member 41 which cooperates with the actuating rod 60 (or a integral part of it) to define the positions of opening and closing said outlet valve 40.
  • the inlet valve element 31 and the element of the outlet valve 41 are both movable inside the pump body 10.
  • the pump of the invention can be mounted on a reservoir (not shown) by means of a fixing ring 1 which can be any, and in particular screwable, crimpable or snap-on.
  • a seal 5 is interposed between the upper edge of the tank (not shown) and the ring of 1.
  • a dispensing head or pusher is then assembled on the pump to operate the latter, and thus form a dispensing device of fluid product with manual operation.
  • the outlet valve 40 is biased towards its position of closing by the pressure of the product contained in the pump chamber 20. This guarantees that there is no risk of leakage during the actuation of the pump, since as soon as the user actuates the pump, it creates a pressure inside of the pump chamber 20 and this pressure will solicit the outlet valve 40 towards its closed position and thus ensure optimum sealing at this level.
  • the inlet valve member 31 co-operates with a part of the pump body 10 which is made in such a way that the pressure of the product contained inside the pump chamber 20 also improves the sealing of said inlet valve 30.
  • the inlet valve member 31 cooperates with the valve member of output 41 to move the latter mechanically to the open position of the outlet valve 40. This mechanical opening of the outlet valve at the end of actuation stroke of the pump ensures a distribution of the entire dose each time the pump is actuated.
  • the inlet valve element 31 comprises a sleeve axial hollow lower 32 and an upper hollow axial sleeve 34.
  • the sleeve lower axial 32 slides in a sealed manner around a hollow axial tube 12 integral with the pump body 10.
  • this axial tube 12 can be made integrally with the pump body 10 and be concentric inside of it, at its lower edge.
  • the seal is made at the lower end 33 of said sleeve lower 32, and this seal is improved during the actuation of the pump by the pressure of the product contained in the pump chamber 20, the product extending around said lower sleeve 32 of the valve member 31.
  • the lower end 33 of said lower sleeve 32 is spaced from the upper end 13 of said axial tube 12, which defines the position opening of the inlet valve 30, by opening a passage for the product towards the pump chamber 20.
  • said axial tube 12 of the pump body 10 can have one or more radial projection (s) 14, preferably made in its lower part, and which cooperates (s) with the lower end 33 of said lower sleeve 32 of the inlet valve member 31 during the first actuation of the pump.
  • This makes it possible to prime the pump safely and simple by evacuating the air contained in the pump chamber 20 through the dip tube towards the inside of the tank (not shown).
  • Figures 2 and 4 represent the priming position, in which the lower end 33 of the lower sleeve 32 cooperates with said radial projections 14 of the axial tube 12. This opens an expulsion passage for the air contained in the pump chamber 20.
  • the chamber pump 20 fills with fluid from the reservoir (not shown).
  • the inlet valve member 31 will never again reach the position in which its lower end 33 can cooperate with said radial projections 14 of the axial tube 12. Indeed, the outlet valve 40 of the pump will always be mechanically opened by said inlet valve element 31 before said lower edge 33 of said inlet valve member 31 does not reach said radial projections 14.
  • the presence of these radial projections 14 thus allows the priming of the pump, but does not present any risk of leakage during the subsequent actuation of the pump, in particular at the level of the sealing of the inlet valve 30.
  • the present invention thus provides a simple and reliable priming, and evacuation of air through the dip tube allows the pump of the present invention to be used with any type of shutter, including a shutter that does not allow the expulsion of air during priming.
  • the upper hollow axial sleeve 34 of the inlet valve member 31 has an upper edge 35 which forms a radially inward shoulder.
  • This upper edge 35 is slidably mounted, preferably in a sealed manner, around a portion of said outlet valve member 41, defined between two radial shoulders towards the lower and upper outside 45 and 46.
  • the edge upper 35 of the upper sleeve 34 cooperates with said lower shoulder 45 of the outlet valve member 41 to mechanically open said check valve output 40 when the piston 50 reaches its dispensing position.
  • the check valve exit is automatically returned to its closed position after the actuation of the pump by the product entering inside the chamber of pump 20 when the piston 50 returns from its dispensing position to its rest position.
  • the embodiment of FIGS. 4 to 6 that the upper edge 35 of the upper sleeve 34 of the valve member input 31 cooperates with said upper shoulder 46 of the valve element of output 41 to mechanically close said outlet valve 40 after expulsion of the product contained in the pump chamber 20.
  • this feature of mechanically closing the outlet valve 40 could all adapted in the first embodiment described with reference to the Figures 1 to 3.
  • a spring 70 forming a return spring of the pump, is advantageously arranged between the pump body 10 and the valve element This spring 70 urges the inlet valve 30 towards its position. opening and the piston 50 to its rest position.
  • the present invention thus provides a safe and reliable pump which avoids all risk of leakage during actuation, which allows safe and reliable priming during of the first actuation of the pump, and which especially is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and assemble because it has only a very small number of parts constituent. Indeed, to get this pump with all these advantages, the The present invention uses only six parts, namely the pump body 10, the inlet valve member 31, the outlet valve member 14, the spring of recall 70, the piston 50 and a ferrule 80 (which is the abutment element fitted in the upper edge of the pump body 10 and which defines the rest position piston 50).
