Claims (8)

  1. Toilet seat device for a lavatory bowl, comprising a toilet seat (10) and a lid (11) each articulated by a support plate (12) around a common horizontal axis (13) enabling a pivoting movement between a lowered position and a raised position, and comprising:
    - means for fixing the support plate (12) to the lavatory bowl,
    - two coaxial hinges (14, 15) separated from one another for insertion of two articulation hinge pins (16, 17), one left and one right, each right hinge (14) or left hinge (15) comprising a first hinge part (14a, 15a) attached to the lid (11), and a second hinge part (14b, 15b) integral to the toilet seat (10),
    - a pair of hydraulic dampers (18, 19) operating in conjunction with the hinge pins (16, 17) to slow down the toilet seat (10) and/or the lid (11) when the pivoting movement to the lowered position takes place, each damper (18, 19) having a rotary actuating means (20, 21) designed to compress the damping fluid when curbing the speed of movement,
    - the left hinge (15) is equipped with a first fixed mechanical connection (26) connecting the first hinge part (15a) to the left hinge pin (17) and to the actuating means (21) of the associated damper (19), whereas the second hinge part (15b) is mounted rotating freely on the left hinge pin (17),
    - the right hinge (14) is equipped with a second fixed mechanical connection (27) securing the second hinge part (14b) to the right hinge pin (16) and to the actuating means (20) of the associated damper (18), whereas the first hinge part (14a) is mounted rotating freely on the right hinge pin (16),
    characterized in that the hinge pins (16, 17) are housed in the support plate (12) inside bearings (24, 25) enabling the lid (11) and the toilet seat (10) to be disassembled quickly in the raised position at 90°, each C-shaped bearing (24, 25) being arranged between the first hinge part (14a, 15a) and the second hinge part (14b, 15b) of the corresponding hinge pin (16, 17).
  2. Toilet seat device according to claim 1, characterized in that the two hydraulic dampers (18, 19) are coaxial and are inserted in the central gap between the second hinge parts (14b,15b) of the toilet seat (10).
  3. Toilet seat device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each hinge pin (16,17) comprises:
    - a male part (16a, 17a) respectively operating in conjunction with the first hinge part (14a) of the right hinge pin (16) and the first hinge part (15a) of the left hinge pin (17),
    - and a female part (16b, 17b) for driving the rotary actuating means (20, 21) of the associated damper (18, 19).
  4. Toilet seat device according to claim 3, characterized in that the first hinge parts (14a, 15a) each comprise a housing designed to accommodate the male part (16a, 17a) of the corresponding hinge pin.
  5. Toilet seat device according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the lid (11) is connected to the first hinge parts (14a, 15a) by a first pair of fixing brackets (22).
  6. Toilet seat device according to claim 5, characterized in that the toilet seat (10) is assembled to the second hinge parts (14b, 15b) by a second pair of fixing brackets (23).
  7. Toilet seat device according to one of the claims 1 to 6, characterized in that one of the hydraulic dampers (18) serves the purpose of slowing down the toilet seat (10) and the other (19) that of slowing down the lid (11).
  8. Toilet seat device according to claim 7, characterized in that the damper (19) of the lid (11) has a fluid compression ratio which is higher than that of the damper (18) of the seat (10) so as to obtain a differential braking effect according to the weight of the toilet seat.
