Abstract

Bei medizinischen Geräten, welche am Körper getragen werden, besteht die Gefahr, dass durch Feuchtigkeit, Schweiss etc. gewisse Teile und Komponenten des Gerätes korrodieren können bzw. nicht mehr funktionieren. Speziell führt das Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit und Schweiss in Hörgeräten zu Korrosion, beispielsweise der Batterie, und in einigen Fällen zu Störungen der Elektronik. Allerdings wird die überragende Mehrheit dieser medizinischen Geräte mit Zink-Luft-Batterien betrieben, so dass es nicht möglich ist, das Gerät hermetisch abzudichten, da die Batterie eine konstante Sauerstoffversorgung benötigt, um die Betriebsspannung aufrecht zu erhalten. Entsprechend wird vorgeschlagen, zum flüssigkeitsdichten Abdichten von Kleinstspalten, Ritzen, Kapillaren und/oder Öffnungen (11) in Gehäusewandungen die Gehäusewandung mindestens im Bereich der Spalte, Ritze, Öffnung oder Kapillare mit einer hydrophoben Beschichtung zu versehen, wobei eine gewisse Gasdurchlässigkeit erhalten bleibt. Die hydrophobe Beschichtung wird erzeugt beispielsweise mittels hydrophoben Nanopartikeln über einen sogenannten Sol-Gel Prozess. Die Beschichtung kann aber auch mittels hydratisierten Silanen oder fluorhaltigen Polykondensaten erfolgen. Weiter vorgeschlagen wird, die Beschichtung mittels Niedertemperatur-Plasmaverdampfverfahren zu applizieren, wobei beim Beschichten eine kompakte Polymerschicht auf der Gehäusewandung abgeschieden wird.
