for the multi-color printing and at least one coating unit according to the
The preamble of
folgenden Druckbogen ablagern, was zu Qualitätseinbußen führt.
Zylinder zudem abgenutzt, was ebenfalls die Druckqualität beeinflusst. The lateral surfaces of the sheet-guiding cylinders in printing presses, including impression cylinders, transfer cylinders, reversing or storage cylinders, come into contact with printed sheets during the printing process. The risk of contamination by printing ink exists in particular in the production of printed on both sides sheet. These are, after the printing process has been completed on the recto printing side, turned and fed to the subsequently arranged printing units, wherein the already printed side of the printed sheet of the lateral surface of the sheet-guiding cylinder faces. In the contact zone, printing ink can build up on the sheet-guiding cylinders and deposit on the following printed sheet, which leads to quality losses.
Due to the continued contact with the printing sheets, the lateral surfaces of the sheet-guiding cylinders are also worn, which also affects the print quality.
It is well known, roughened on sheet-guiding cylinders roughened with color-repellent To arrange properties. Such a film is described in DE 12 58 873 A1. To activate or refresh the color-repellent Properties of the coating is this at certain intervals with UV light irradiated.
A disadvantage of these solutions that the films to maintain the ink repellent Properties and thus to ensure good print quality after a predetermined Use period must be replaced. In addition, to the bow-leading Cylinders means are provided for mounting the films.
Die mit der Beschichtungszusammensetzung erzeugte Oberfläche nutzt sich jedoch während des Betriebs der Maschine schnell ab.It is also the use of a coating composition according to DE 199 48 311 A1 with low surface energy known for parts of a printing press. The with the Coating composition produced surface, however, wears during operation the machine quickly.
According to the document DE OS 21 27 021 the deposition of color and the color structure be avoided on the cylinder jacket by applying a layer of water. The Water acts as a release agent. To produce the water layer is the pressure cylinder jacket specifically supplied with steam-enriched air.
The present invention has the advantage that very good ink-repellent and / or wear-inhibiting properties can be produced on the mantle surfaces of the sheet-guiding cylinders of a printing press and can be obtained over virtually any desired length of time. For this purpose, a coating unit is assigned to the sheet-guiding cylinders, in particular the cylinders coming into contact with a printed sheet side, comprising a coating device with which a coating liquid to be fixed by drying can be applied to the surface of the sheet-guiding cylinder. Although the layer produced in this way is subject to wear, it can easily be regenerated as often as desired in the printing press. The replacement of worn elevators or the time-consuming re-stratification of the cylinders by thermal spraying is eliminated.
The present invention is particularly suitable for use in sheet-fed rotary printing presses with turning device, which can print the sheet in perfecting, but also finds application in pure straight printing presses. The regeneration of the properties can be performed as an automated process during a printing pause, which requires no manual activities, in particular no installation work to change lifts.

The fixation of the coating liquid can be easily achieved by heat treatment in the form of a drying or depending on the composition of the coating liquid by irradiation with UV light or another suitable radiation source respectively. This triggers crosslinking reactions, over which in the coating liquid contained molecules are irreversibly interconnected. For drying Temperatures in the range between 15 and 100 ° C are provided.
For this purpose, the

If a washing device is provided as a coating unit 6.1, 6.1, the

12 fixiert. The operation of the invention will be described below.
If the sheet-guiding cylinders have no ink-repellent layer or if an originally applied layer is worn, the coating process is initiated. Before applying the
