Abstract

Es wird eine Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe mit Vorförderpumpe vorgeschlagen, bei welcher die von der Vorförderpumpe (1) geförderte Krafstoffmenge über ein stetig verstellbares Wegeventil auf die Pumpenelemente (19) der Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe oder den Niederdruckbereich derselben zu Kühl- und Schmierzwecken aufgeteilt wird. Gesteuert wird das Wegeventil (33) vom Steuergerät der Brennkraftmaschine.
Vorteilhaft an den erfindungsgemäßen Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe ist, dass abhängig vom Betriebszustand der Brennkraftmaschine und der Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe stets eine optimale Aufteilung der von der Vorförderpumpe (1) geförderten Kraftstoffmenge erfolgen kann. Außerdem wird der Energiebedarf der Vorförderpumpe verringert und deren Lebensdauer erhöht.
