Definitions
- the invention is in the field of conveyor technology and relates to a method and a Device according to the generic terms of the corresponding independent Claims.
- the method and device serve to promote Objects on a conveyor line, the objects being held individually and one after the other and at least limited independently of one another along the Conveyor route will be funded and the items during the funding Run through a buffer store along the conveyor line.
- the extension the holding elements in the conveying direction is the same size and for all holding elements advantageously greater than the corresponding extent of the objects (Thickness of the flat objects), so that defined itself in pushed operation Distances between holding elements (distance, for example, between the Front ends of two successive holding elements) or between Holding elements set which distances in one specified system are the smallest possible distances.
- the holding elements are only on the Conveyor path dammed up and released in a controlled manner from the top of the traffic jam and promoted.
- the traffic jam which has a stationary head end and a variable length has, represents the buffer memory.
- drives motor drives or Gravity
- means provide with which holding elements jammed in the buffer from which Buffer storage can be released and transferred to the removal conveyor drive.
- Buffer stores are used wherever one delivering objects and one Objects receiving unit can be flexibly connected to each other should that the units in terms of performance (in items per unit of time) in wide borders without interdependencies (decoupled) and yet without Removal of objects operated from a common process code should be. If the performance of the item delivering unit is greater than the performance of the items receiving unit, the level of the increases Buffer memory. When the performance of the item delivering unit is less as the performance of the item receiving unit, the fill level of the Buffer memory.
- This clock wheel indicates Holding elements adapted teeth and rotated with each of his teeth the foremost holding element in the buffer memory to remove it from the head of the Separate the buffer memory and transfer it to the conveyor drive.
- the speed of rotation of the cycle wheel is varied as required or the clock wheel is switched (predetermined, unchangeable speed or standstill).
- the invention now has the task of promoting and buffering as above are described, to make it flexible, such that the distance from the head end of the Buffer storage transported electricity of objects or holding elements (with held objects or without) to a greater extent different, downstream conditions can be adjusted as with Methods and arrangements according to the prior art is possible.
- the Application of the method and the device according to the invention should therefore be one Deliver away flow, if possible without further conversion or with one considerably reduced degree of further conversion directly to one at the Flow rate conditions unit can be performed.
- Procedure and Devices according to the invention are thus intended to be compared to the prior art in particular an increased process density and a reduction of for Conveying flow conversions bring necessary conveyor line lengths in such a way that the Promotion / buffering maintains its essential traits, but closer to one downstream, object receiving unit are arranged can and, if possible, does not require any other means for converting electricity.
- the method according to the invention essentially consists of holding elements (with items or without) not individually but in groups from the To release the buffer storage and hand it over to a conveyor drive, that is, upon discharge, not a stream of individuals as in the prior art Holding elements but to generate a stream of holding element groups.
- the holding elements within Groups such as in the buffer storage or in interrupted conveyor operation advantageously the minimum distance from each other are the distances between groups and the Removal speed is either constant or variable and is the number of Holding elements in the groups constant or variable. But these are from Items carried away at the head end of the buffer are still kept individually.
- the method and device according to the invention are particularly suitable for Feed item groups to units that contain items in tight spaces Groups processed, for example stacked or packaged.
- the holding element groups which according to the inventive method from the Buffer tanks are released and transferred to the removal conveyor drive Buffer memory in which the holding elements are already at minimal intervals are arranged from each other, pre-formed.
- Buffer storage also placed further downstream on the discharge flow Conversion-oriented conversions of the flow are made become, for example a reorientation of the objects, a marking of the Items as members of a specific group, a tag of Items as specific group members (e.g. group member who is in the Group as the foremost or rearmost) or a formation of Subgroups within the groups.
- the device according to the invention has for the serial conveying of Holding elements or of objects individually held by holding elements a plurality of holding elements along a conveyor line, the one behind the other and at least limited independently of one another along one Conveying track defining rail track are movable. Furthermore, the Device a feed drive for feeding holding elements for Tail end of a buffer store, a buffer drive for conveying Holding elements from the tail end of the buffer storage against the head end and a removal drive for conveying away holding elements from the head of the Buffer memory, and a means for forming holding element groups in the Buffer memory and a means for releasing groups of holding elements from the Buffer memory and for transferring the groups to the removal drive.
- buffer and removal drive can at least partially Gravity can be used.
- Feed, buffer and removal drives can be used as separate drives can be formed or as one or two drives, at least one of the drives takes on more than one of the named drive functions.
- functions of the above-mentioned means of group formation can be carried out in the same way and for the discharge and handover of a separate device part or be taken over together by the same part of the device.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of the inventive method.
- objects 2 individually held by holding elements 1 for example flat objects such as newspapers or magazines, are conveyed, for example, from an object-delivering unit 3 to an object-receiving unit 4 along a conveyor line defined by a rail track 5.
- the holding elements 1 are independent of one another, that is to say advantageously not connected to one another, possibly connected to one another by connecting elements which have a variable length in the conveying direction F.
- the holding elements 1 are rolling or sliding bodies, each having a gripper for gripping an object 2.
- all the holding elements 1 advantageously have the same, as short as possible length, such that, when pushed against one another, they form a dense conveying flow with uniform distances between the grippers or between the objects held by the grippers.
- the conveyor line is divided into three parts: a feed line 10, a removal route 11 and between the feed route 10 and the removal route 11 a buffer memory 12 with a head end 13 and a tail end 14, wherein the position of the head end 13 on the conveyor line is substantially constant and the position of the tail end 14 depending on the fill level of the buffer memory 10 varied.
- the head end 13 of the buffer store 10 is now not but release individual holding elements 1 or individual, held objects 2 holding element groups 15 are released and handed over to conveyance away, which holding element groups 15 before they are released in the buffer memory 12 be educated.
- the head end 13 of the buffer store 10 is now not but release individual holding elements 1 or individual, held objects 2 holding element groups 15 are released and handed over to conveyance away, which holding element groups 15 before they are released in the buffer memory 12 be educated.
- the performance in holding elements per Time unit in the time average for the supply must be the same as for the Conveying away.
- the maximum buffer capacity and of course, other features of a given device set the for Delivery and removal possible distances and speeds Limits. Distances and / or speeds for are within these limits the funding is freely selectable.
- the distances correspond to the distance within the groups essentially the minimum distance, while the distances freely selectable between the groups.
- the distances are in the buffer memory 12 equal to the minimum distance and the speed is such that for each Group discharge the corresponding group at the head of the buffer tank is present and educated.
- the device according to the invention with a single drive for feeding Realize buffer conveyance and conveyance away if the drive is designed in this way is that it grinds in the buffer against jammed retaining elements, or such that holding elements jammed in the buffer memory temporarily from the drive are uncouplable.
- An example of such a conveyor system with a Drive running continuously along the conveyor line to which the holding elements are magnetically coupled for example in publication WO-99/33731 (F475).
- the items 2 are, for example, in the item supplying unit 3 in a shingled stream or individually, for example from a storage unit (Winding, feeder) fed and are there by the holding elements 1 accepted.
- the objects 2 for example, delivered or processed in groups by the holding elements 1 and promoted to a levy in some order.
- Retaining elements 1 For empty ones Retaining elements 1 must be provided with a return path on which they can be re-used Pick up items 2 to the item delivering unit be promoted back.
- the objects delivering and the objects unit (3 and 4) determine the function of funding and Buffering to a large extent, but belong like the conveyor line for the Return transport of the empty holding elements 1 is not within the scope of the invention.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show very schematically, using two examples, how holding element groups 15 are pre-formed at the head end 13 of the buffer store 12, released and transferred to a conveying drive in the method according to the invention. Parts and functions which have already been described in connection with FIG. 1 are identified by the same reference numbers.
- FIG. 2 shows a buffer store 12, at the head end 13 of which two stowage means 16.1 and 16.2 are provided, which stowage means alternately define a front stagnation point P.1 and a rear stagnation point P.2 (upstream from the front stagnation point P.1).
- the stowage means 16.1 and 16.2 can be moved parallel to the conveying direction F and can be switched into an active configuration (with an effect on the conveying flow) and an inactive configuration (without an effect on the conveying flow) and they can also assume a conveying function if necessary.
- FIG. 2 shows five process stages a) to e) which are necessary for the discharge of a group 15 be passed through from the buffer memory 12.
- the holding element group to be released 15 consists of five holding elements 1 in the illustrated case first stowage means 16.1 is active in a front stagnation point P.1 and thereby the Feed and buffer flow jams, the second stowage means 16.2 for the formation of Group 15 activated in a rear stagnation point (a, b).
- the first stowage means 16.1 is deactivated (c) and becomes the second Stowage means 16.2 in active configuration moved to the front stagnation point P.1 (d), pushing the group to be released.
- Conveyor drives are used, the conveying drive being designed in this way is that the group 15 pushed by the storage medium out of the buffer store as can take over.
- Suitable drives for feeding and buffering are, for example, gravity or a grinding drive.
- For promotion can, for example, another or the same grinding drive or Group funds are used.
- the groups released from the buffer store 12 comprise different numbers of holding elements 1, so that the position of the rear stowage point P.2 and the stroke of the stowage means parallel to the conveying direction differ according to the group size.
- the groups are released at regular intervals, the distances d G between the last holding elements of successive groups remaining the same.
- the holding elements are lined up within the groups with minimal distances d min .
- each group would have to be pushed by the expelling stowage means (16.1 or 16.2) over the front stagnation point P. 1 such that the first holding element of the group reaches a defined starting position, or a pre-formed group would have to be actively coupled to a removal drive in a position behind the front stagnation point P.1 (front stagnation point with the same defined starting point) and released from the buffer storage by the action of this drive.
- FIG. 3 shows, in the same way as FIG. 2, a method variant with a front stowage means 16.3 and a rear stowage means 16.4, which in turn can be switched into an active configuration and a rest configuration.
- the two stowage means 16.3 and 16.4 do not work alternately in the front or rear stagnation point but are fixedly assigned to the front stagnation point P.1 or the rear stagnation point P.2.
- one (16.4) of the stowage means can be moved parallel to the conveying direction F.
- the stowage means 16.3 and 16.4 cannot take on a conveying function, so that in any case a drive must be provided over the entire conveying path, the function of which in the feed area and in the buffer store can be taken over by gravity.
- Group 15 is released in the following phases: the front one Stowage is active in the front stowage point P.1, the rear stowage becomes Training of the group 15 to be released positioned at the rear stagnation point P.2 and activated (a, b); for the release of group 15, the front stowage 16.3 deactivated and the group promoted (c); if the group the front Has passed the stagnation point, the front stowage means 16.3 is reactivated, the rear Dams 16.4 deactivated and for the discharge of a next group if necessary, shifted parallel to the conveying direction (d, e).
- the front stowage means 16.3 parallel to Conveying direction shiftable, that means the front stagnation point P.1 variable and the rear stagnation point to be stationary. Both are for the dismissal of same groups Stagnation points P.1 and P.2 stationary.
- Figures 4 to 6 schematically show some exemplary embodiments of the device according to the invention.
- FIG. 4 shows an embodiment with two stowage means 16, which work alternately as described in connection with FIG. 2 and assume a promotional function for the discharge of groups.
- Gravity is used as the feed and buffer drive (rail track dropping towards the head end of the buffer store) and the removal conveyor drive is a driver chain 30, the drivers of which are spaced apart from one another to match the minimum spacing of the holding elements.
- the stroke of the stowage means 16 parallel to the conveying direction F is set up in such a way that a group 15 to be released is pushed so far beyond the front stagnation point P.1 that the last holding element of the group also comes into the effective range of the driving chain 30.
- the speed of this ejection stroke must be the same as the speed of the drive chain 30.
- FIG. 5 shows an embodiment with more than two stowage means 16, which are coupled to a circulating transport element 31 (for example a chain), which are spaced apart from one another by the minimum spacing of the holding elements and which, for example, can be pivoted into an active configuration (filled or shown in black) ) or a rest configuration (empty or shown in white) can be switched.
- the function of the stowage means 16 is essentially the same as the function of the alternating stowage means 16.1 and 16.2 according to FIG.
- stowage means are not positioned accordingly but a correspondingly selected stowage means is activated (distance between two active stowage means is the same the length of a group to be released).
- the transport member 31 is driven in a controlled manner in such a way that it moves in the specified direction for the discharge of a group by the group length and thus releases the group to be discharged and stands still between discharges.
- the stowage means can be flexibly linked to one another and driven in an abutting manner in the area of the buffer store. For a group discharge, the foremost active stowage agent is then deactivated and the second foremost is accelerated in a controlled manner and moved to the front stowage point P.1.
- FIG. 6 shows an embodiment of the device according to the invention, in which the Function of the front stowage is taken over by gravity, which creates a non-stationary front stagnation point P.1 (passive Stagnation point).
- the rear storage device is a stationary cycle wheel 16.5.
- the removal conveyor drive is a group conveyor, for example one Driver chain 32, the drivers have a distance from each other, the is at least as long as the length of the largest group to be expected.
- the Clock wheel 16.5 forms the groups by rotating intermittently and those for one to be released group counts necessary holding elements 1. Through the The counted holding elements remain stuck under gravity (passive stagnation point P.1) and are carried away by the next carrier of the carrier chain 32. she can also be actively coupled to an appropriately equipped drive.
- the feed and buffer drive is, for example Grinding wheel drive. It is also conceivable that the rail track against the clock wheel 16.5 is falling and the holding elements by gravity the buffer memory promoted and pushed against the clock wheel 16.5.
- a single stowage device is used, which controlled that between its deactivation and further activation a Group pre-formed (or counted), i.e. via the stationary stagnation point P.2 is promoted. If the distances within such a pre-formed group do not have to correspond very precisely to the minimum distance, variable, passive stagnation point P.1 instead of gravity also friction act between the rail track and holding means, for which purpose the rail track can also run downstream from P. 1.
- FIGS. 7 and 8 show two examples for the application of the method and device according to the invention or for the further processing of group streams created according to the method according to the invention.
- FIG. 7 very schematically illustrates a possibly double buffering with group discharge.
- the system shown serves to produce a predetermined sequence of packages, which all contain different predetermined numbers of types A, B and C printed products (newspapers or magazines).
- the printed products of types A, B and C are individually taken on different conveying paths, for example driven by gravity, each fed to a buffer store 12.1, 12.2, 12.3, from which buffer stores the printed products in groups according to the method according to the invention or individually according to the state of the art are released into a central buffer memory 12 such that they are premixed in the central buffer memory 12 for the sequence of packets to be created.
- At least this buffer store 12 works according to the method according to the invention, that is to say the products which are premixed in the buffer store 12 are pre-formed in the buffer store into groups 15, each representing a packet, released as groups 15 from the buffer store 12 and transferred to a group conveyor 40.
- groups 15 and 16.2 are provided, as described in connection with FIG. 2.
- the group conveyor 40 conveys the groups 15 of the products, which are still kept individually, into a packaging machine 41, which processes the groups supplied by the group conveyor 40 into packages 42, for example at regular intervals, for example by folding and tying or wrapping.
- a control unit 43 controls the packaging machine 41, synchronizes this Group conveyor 40 with the packaging machine 41 and controls the buffer memory 12.1, 12.2, 12.3 and 12 according to a predetermined packet sequence and the given package contents. Also one integrated in the packaging machine 41 Device 44 for printing and placing cover sheets 45 is from the Control unit 43 controlled.
- Figure 8 shows double buffering and grouping. This is used to store printed products 2 conveyed by holding elements 1 in a buffer store, to release them in the form of sections 15.1 (groups of products) from the buffer store and to insert a separating sheet 50 between sections 15.1. Sections 15.1 are then jammed again and released in the form of pack stacks 15.2 (group of sections), the pack stacks for example containing different numbers of sections 15.1. These stacks of packages can also be fed to a packaging machine in the manner shown in FIG.
