Abstract

Following a steam treatment process for textile mesh hose made of a combination of natural and elastic fibre, the hose is spread and subjected to a thermal fixing process in a vertical plane. The hose is especially continually fed through a thermal fixing chamber with a round spreader (21) at a pre-determined speed. The round spreader (21) is located within a hose feed section (20) forming part of a thermal fixing chamber (17) treatment assembly (20). A batch of hose (1) accumulates and forms a buffer store in the feed part (20) of the thermal fixing chamber (17). Hose is continually drawn from the buffer at a pre-determined rate and passes through the thermal fixing process. The buffer is created by maintaining the hose feed at a faster rate than the removal rate. The buffer is maintained by equalising the feed rate with the removal rate. The hose is thermally treated during its downward passage.

Description

The invention relates to a method for treating tubular textile goods, in particular knitwear with a share of natural fibers and with a share elastomeric fibers.

Processes for treating tubular knitted fabrics are known from the publication DE 198 19 051 A1, the knitted fabrics consisting of a portion of natural fibers and a portion of elastomeric fibers. Also known from DE 198 19 051 A1 are devices or a system for carrying out the treatment methods disclosed in this document.
The known treatment methods are carried out with regard to the material guidance in such a way that the tubular knitted fabric is guided in a vertical direction from bottom to top via the circular spreader arranged in the heat-setting chamber. This has the disadvantage that with the transport of the tubular goods in the aforementioned direction, a longitudinal tension negatively influencing the end product arises in the tubular goods.
This longitudinal tension is composed of the weight of the tubular goods, the friction exerted by the tubular goods on the circumference of the circular spreader and the pretensioning force between the fixing rollers of the circular spreader.

From the document DE 41 31 636 A1, a method for hot air drying of a wide textile web, in particular a sensitive web of knitted or knitted knitwear, is known, according to which the knitted fabric is placed on the feed end of an air-permeable carrier tape before it enters a hot air drying zone and is passed through the drying zone on this carrier belt.
In order to be able to treat the at least one wide web, which can also be a web in the form of lay-flat tubular goods, with low tension with dry air, the known method provides that the web running in with leading leads using at least one brush roller over its entire width in uniform folds is placed on the feeding end of the carrier tape.

In order to be able to subject a tubular knitted fabric with a proportion of natural fibers and with a proportion of elastomeric fibers to a heat-setting process, the knitted fabric must be fed to the treatment process in a state which differs from the state of the flat state or differs from the state, for technological reasons. whereby the knitwear is laid in even folds and thus fed into the treatment process.
In this state, the fabric web lying in loose folds on the carrier belt can be heat-treated or dried with low tension; it is not possible to heat-fix both tubular and flat goods in such a condition.

It is therefore an object of the invention to be tubular in a system for treating Textile goods, in particular knitwear, with a proportion of natural fibers and with one Percentage of elastomeric fibers, the goods are routed through at least one existing one To improve circular spreaders while reducing the tensile force of the goods.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that the tubular goods, after they undergo a steam treatment known per se in a heating chamber, are subsequently, as is known per se, deflected one or more times in the heating chamber and, at a first transport speed, continuously feed the cone-shaped feed section of an in a heat-setting chamber arranged circular spreader is fed, that a tubular goods buffer is then built up on the feed section of the circular spreader with temporary relaxation and possibly shrinking of the tubular goods and that the tubular goods are continuously fed into the goods buffer at a second transport speed that is lower than the first transport speed in the round, expanded state from vertically above to vertically below, using the gravity of the tubular goods, passes the circular spreader and is thereby heat-set.
Alternatively, the transport speeds can be the same if the first drive is operated in advance of the second drive.

  • The process sequence according to the invention advantageously achieves:
  • a) a comparatively low electromotive drive power for the goods transport of the spread goods, due to the goods routing on the round spreader from vertical up to vertical down,
  • b) minimizing the longitudinal tension of the goods, which has a very positive effect on the preservation of the structure of the knitted tubular goods and
  • c) due to the formation of a goods buffer in the feed section of the rotary spreader, the goods can temporarily relax in length and width and possibly shrink, namely until they are subjected to further processing at the second transport speed.
The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment.

The tubular knitted fabric 1 is removed from a stack of goods 2 as a wide-lying product according to FIG. The removal takes place in a known manner by means of at least one take-off roller 4 driven by at least one electric motor drive 3. In the present exemplary embodiment, the take-off roller 4 is arranged within the preheating chamber 5 of the system 6.
Before the tubular goods 1 reach the preheating chamber 5, they are guided over deflecting rollers 7, 8 positioned vertically above the goods stack 2, in order subsequently to arrive at a flat-width holding device 9 known per se, which is arranged approximately below a goods inlet roller 11 of the preheating chamber 5. Subsequently, the tubular goods are drawn flat in the state spread out via at least one deflection roller 10 arranged downstream of the device 9, via the rotationally driven draw-off roller 4, into the preheating chamber 5.

Arranged within the preheating chamber 5 is a goods damper 12, through which the goods 1, after passing through a deflection roller 13 arranged axially parallel to the take-off roller 4, are guided vertically from its entrance to its exit.
The goods 1 are guided within the preheating chamber 5, after it has left the goods damper 12, of known dimensions over at least one dancer roller 14 and several first deflection rollers 15 arranged axially parallel and several second deflection rollers 16 arranged axially parallel, the first deflection rollers 15 and the second deflection rollers 16 are arranged vertically spaced apart.

After the product 1 leaves the first deflection rollers 15, it arrives in a known manner via at least one further vertically above the preheating chamber 5 and above the fixing chamber 17 existing roller arrangement 18; 19 on the conical feed section 20 of the spreader 21.

To transport the goods on the feed section 20, as is known per se, is a Electromotive drive 22b provided - best seen in Figure 2 - that on the Fixing roller 22a of the spreader head 22 is effective.

According to the method according to the invention, it is now provided to transport the goods 1 at such a transport speed by means of the drive 22b onto the feed section 20 of the rotary spreader 21 which is greater than the transport speed required for fixing the goods. As a result, according to the invention, a goods buffer can be formed on the feed section 20 of the rotary spreader before the fixing process begins, see also the wave-like position of the goods 1, which serves to relax and, if necessary, shrink the goods 1.
By means of a second electromotive drive 23, the buffered goods 1 are transported from the feed section 20 via the rotary spreader 21 according to the directional arrow 24 at a lower transport speed than the first transport speed.
Alternatively, it can also be provided according to the invention that the transport speed of the first drive 22b corresponds to the transport speed of the second drive 23.
In this case, the formation of a goods buffer takes place in that the first drive 22b is operated in advance of the second drive 23.
After leaving the circular spreader 21, the goods 1 with a fixed diameter, as known from DE 198 19 051 A1, are spread out flat in a flat form over corresponding deflection rollers by a roller 26 integrated in a folding device 28 and driven by an electric motor drive 25 to form a stack of goods 28 out.
