Definitions
- the invention relates to a startup and shutdown device for a printing press according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the computer of the control station is designed as a PC so that data and settings can be visualized via a monitor.
- the control console of the printing press also carries out a setting or change of process data and possibly also an administration of the print jobs to be executed on the machine.
- a computer for the control station of a printing press is known in particular from DE 195 39 794 A1.
- the control functions of the printing press which may have been preselected or triggered via controls of the control station, are effected by a separate control computer (PLC).
- PLC control computer
- This control computer can be arranged centrally as one or more computers or assigned to the individual functional units of the printing press.
- the one or more control computers are connected to the control center computer via a bus system.
- data / values acquired by the control can be supplied to the control center computer and processed there for visualization.
- data inputs and, in particular, the commands relating to the running behavior of the printing machine can be fed to the controller as corresponding signals via the bus system and converted there via corresponding actuators or the drive of the printing press.
- Both the computer of the control of the printing press and the control center computer and the drive or the drives of the printing press are connected via power supplies to the power grid. Accordingly, these power supplies are associated with main switches, so that for switching on and off the printing press and control center computer several operations are necessary.
- a mains supply for a printing machine is known from DE 297 09 783 U1, in which the main switch of the individual components are coupled together via timers, however, such a solution is not transferable to the control of a printing press with a control center computer, in which the control center computer with a modern operating system such as Windows (NT), UNIX or the like is operated.
- a power supply for the computer of a printing press is known in which a computer, a first predetermined time constant bridging voltage buffering (UPS) is arranged upstream, which input side is connected to the switchable via a main switch mains voltage.
- UPS bridging voltage buffering
- a disadvantage of this solution is that a costly voltage buffering in the form of a UPS is necessary.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to expand a startup and shutdown device for a printing press according to the preamble of claim 1 such that, while avoiding the above-mentioned disadvantages, a simple possibility for switching off the computer and the printing machine is provided.
- the computer of the control station and the control of the printing presses are in signal communication, so that the control center computer, a signal can be fed, which can be removed whether the press or the control of the printing press is in a state in which a shutdown is possible. If the control center computer is notified via this signal that shutdown is possible, then the machine operator can use the control console computer via a designated menu item in the manner customary by the PC to shut down the control console computer with subsequent shutdown trigger the machine control and printing press. For this purpose, a signal is sent by the control room computer to the computer of the controller, which activates a timer. At the same time, the targeted shutdown of the applications and the operating system of the control center computer takes place. This saves data that has not yet been saved on the data carriers (hard disk) provided for this purpose.
- the timer activated by the machine control (the computer of the machine control) is implemented, for example, as a corresponding software routine within the machine control and dimensioned with respect to the provided time constant, so that in each case the shutdown of the control center computer is possible within this time span.
- a signal is generated by the machine control, by which a standing with the machine control in signal connection and both the computer of the machine control, the control center computer and the drives of the printing press with the network main switch (main contactor) can be actuated.
- the voltage-free switching of the computers as well as the drives controllable by the computer (control) takes place in this way.
- the machine control After receiving the ShutDown command from the control center computer, the machine control (the machine control computer) sends a corresponding acknowledgment to the software of the control center computer. This activates the shutdown and can no longer be aborted by the operator via the control room computer (ShutDownActive).
- the software of the control station sends a targeted PowerOFF command to the machine (machine control computer) in the form of a SwitchPowerOFF signal.
- This signal corresponds to that signal in conventional office PC's, through which then the power switch of the computer is operated.
- the machine control which has already received the PowerOFF command, will now terminate the internal operations of the operating system and then the Trigger shutdown.
- This shutdown is realized by the machine control, in which, for example, via a PLC output of the shunt release of the machine brings the main switch of the machine in a neutral end position. In this state, then the machine, the control of the printing press and the control center computer are completely stress-free.
- the machine is switched on again by moving the main switch from the neutral end position into the PowerOff position and then into the PowerON position.
- control computer of the machine receives a short time (eg 200mS) before switching off a signal that the main switch has been actuated, consequently sends the control computer (PLC) of the software of the control center computer at boot time, a signal that documents / indicates that has been switched off via the main switch.
- a short time eg 200mS
- backup copies of the data present in the main memory are carried out at predetermined time intervals.
- the state of the last backup is secured. It can be provided to secure all relevant data immediately or periodically during operation.
- all data backed up to disk will be synchronized.
- a special backup procedure ensures that at least one state can be reached again, that the machine will become operational again in case of data loss (FallBack strategy).
- At the printing machine 1 has an at least one computer controller 2 in the form of a PLC.
- the controller 2 is connected via a bus with a control center computer 3 together with associated display device 4 (monitor). About the controller 2 with the control center computer 3 connecting bus system necessary for the operation of the machine data can be exchanged. Furthermore, the connection between control center computer 3 and control 2 enables the transmission on the part of the control computer 2 to the control room computer 3 of sendable signals which indicate that a state is present which allows a shutdown of the machine. This is especially the case when certain running commands are not executed.
- Generated PowerOFF signals can be sent to the control computer 2 through which then via a special PLC output (signal line) via the main switch 5 also manually operable main contactor 6 can be actuated.
- a special PLC output signal line
- main switch 5 also manually operable main contactor 6
- the voltage-free switching takes place both the printing machine 1 and the computer of the controller 2 and the control station 3 (common power supply via main contactor 6) via the control computer 2 after a shutdown of the operating system of the control center computer 3 enabling and by software routines in the control computer 2 caused time span.
