Each end (2,3) of the equipment for wrapping a film around a palletized load is composed of a support plate (2a,3a) having, overhanging one of its faces, a circular bearing surface (2b,3b) for the mounting of a freely rotating mandrel (1) and a tubular sleeve (2c,3c) for the mounting of the handle (4). Each sleeve has an internal abutment delimiting two counterbores (2e,3f). The handle is composed of a tube engaged and centered in the opposite counterbores supported only on one of the abutments. A rod (5) freely engaged in the sleeves and in the handle has one end (5a) engaging an abutment.
