Claims (3)

  1. Method of threading a partial paper web (16), having the following steps:
    a plurality of partial paper webs (16; 17; 18; 19) are threaded along a first running path (A) lying beside one another transversely with respect to the production running direction,
    a first partial paper web (17; 18; 19) remains threaded along the first running path (A),
    a second partial paper web (16) threaded along the first running path (A) in a web-fed rotary printing machine is severed mechanically, transversely with respect to the running direction, in such a way that a new regular start (15) of the partial paper web (16) is produced, it being possible for the start and the following, uncut partial paper web (16) to be moved along a second path (B; C).
  2. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the new start (15) is produced by means of a mechanically produced tear along a regular tearing line in order to reduce the tearing strength in the partial paper web longitudinal direction.
  3. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the new start (15) of the partial paper web (16, 17, 18, 19) is created by cutting completely mechanically through the partial paper web (16, 17, 18, 19).
