Definitions
- the invention relates to a switching magnet for a high pressure pump the genus of the main claim. Such a switching magnet is registered older.
- the delivery of the high pressure pump begins monitors the conveyance of. via a suction valve opened by the suction flow
- Fuel in a high pressure tank is temporarily interruptible at the time of delivery to be able to determine.
- a switching magnet it becomes an ordinary magnet used.
- Such a magnet is hardly protected against corrosive environmental influences. It also has the disadvantage that those occurring in a common rail system Vibration stress loosen the wires of the coil so that they are against each other rub.
- the known magnet is relatively large and heavy.
- the switching magnet according to the invention with the characteristic features of The main claim has the advantage that it is very small and light, that it uses very little energy and that it is protected from harmful influences is. Further advantages of the invention result from the features of the subclaims as well as from the description and the drawing.
- a switching magnet 1 has a hat-shaped housing 2, into which a likewise hat-shaped brass sleeve 3 and a pole piece 5 provided with a flange 4 are inserted from below. Between an upper conical surface 6 of the pole piece 5 and an end wall 7 of the brass sleeve 3 there is an armature 8 which is subject to the force of a spring 9 which tends to push it upwards away from the pole piece 5.
- a plunger 10 is fastened, which projects with its free end 11 through the pole piece 5 and through a pump cover 12 of a high-pressure pump, not shown, and engages there on a valve plate 13 of a suction valve, also not shown.
- bracket 15 On the brass sleeve 3 is a complicated structure, stamped from sheet metal and provided in its upper part with a fold 14 bracket 15 (see also FIG. 2), which between two flanges 16 u. 17 accommodates a coil 18.
- the bracket 15 sits on a weakly cranked holding plate 19, which rests on the pump cover 12 just like the flange 4 it engages, the holding plate 19 being screwed to the pump cover 12 and the flange 4 being inside and having an annular recess into which an O-ring 20 is inserted, which seals the passage of the plunger 10 and thus the inside of the switching magnet 1 to the outside.
- the armature 8 is arranged in an armature space 21 which is filled with liquid, ie fuel, so that the armature 8 floats in the fuel.
- the armature 8 is provided with an at least largely axially parallel compensation bore 22.
- an annular groove 24 is machined, which receives a second O-ring. This lies on the inside of the brass sleeve 3 and seals the armature space 21 with respect to the coil 18 and to the outside.
- electrical connections 26 are inserted for the switching magnet 1, which are overlapped and protected by a sleeve extension 27.
- the entire housing 2 with the sleeve extension 27 is made of plastic and is produced in one injection molding operation.
- the switching magnet 1 and the plug connection in the sleeve attachment 26 are produced cost-effectively.
- the extrusion coating also protects the contacts against corrosive environmental influences.
- the overmolding also protects the winding against corrosive environmental influences and against the vibration stresses occurring in a common rail system, in that the wires are firmly fixed and cannot rub against one another.
- the fold 14 of the bracket 15 ensures a good magnetic transition to the armature 8, which means that the switching magnet 1 can be made small and light.
- the sealing of the switching magnet 1 with the two O-rings 20 and 25 and the brass sleeve 3 ensures absolute tightness of the switching magnet 1 to the outside and against the excess pressure of 2 to 4 bar prevailing in the low-pressure circuit.
- the compensating bore 22 in the armature 8 causes the armature 8 to move easily in the anchorage space 21, as a result of which the switching is accelerated.
- FIGs 1 u. 2 shows the rest position I of the switching magnet on the left of the center line and the switching position II of the switching magnet on the right of the center line.
- a magnetic field is generated by energizing the coil 18. This magnetic field is passed through the bracket 15, the pole piece 5 and the armature 8 so that the armature 8 moves from the rest position I to the switching position II. Characterized the valve plate 13 is then lifted from its seat in the pump cover 12 of the common rail high-pressure pump via the plunger 10, so that a pump element of the high-pressure pump is switched off. When the power supply is switched off, the spring 9 returns the armature 8 together with the plunger to its rest position II.
- the switching magnet 1 is screwed to the pump cover 12 via the bracket 15.
- the pole piece 5 seals with the O-ring 20 the interior of the switching magnet 1 against the pump cover 12. A further seal is made with the O-ring 25 and the brass sleeve 3. This brass sleeve 3 also serves at the same time as a slide bearing element for the armature 8.
- the compensating bore 22 enables the switching magnet 1 to be switched quickly.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- den Schaltmagneten im Schnitt,.
- Fig. 2
