In Reihe 1 wird in Strickrichtung von links nach rechts eine Maschenreihe für das Grundgestrick 21 auf dem vorderen Nadelbett V und dem hinteren Nadelbett H gebildet. Die Maschen auf dem hinteren Nadelbett H bilden dabei die Taschenrückseite. Anschließend werden in Reihe 2 die Maschen des hinteren Flächengestrickes 25 in die leeren Nadeln des hinteren Nadelbettes H umgehängt. In Reihe 3 werden die Nadelbetten wieder gegeneinander versetzt, so daß sie die Ausgangslage erreichen. In Reihe 4 wird mit einem ersten Stricksystem S1 und der Grundfarbe des Farbjacquard-Musterbereiches 23 im Bereich des vorderen Flächengestrickes 24 gestrickt und im Bereich des hinteren Flächengestrickes 25 abgebunden. In Reihe 5 erfolgt dann mit einem zweiten Stricksystem S2 und der Zweitfarbe des Farbjacquard-Musters das Bilden von Maschen auf dem vorderen Nadelbett im Bereich des vorderen Flächengestrickes 24, wobei der Faden ebenfalls wieder im Bereich des hinteren Flächengestrickes 25 auf dem hinteren Nadelbett H abgebunden wird. Anschließend werden in Reihe 6 die Maschen des hinteren Flächengestrickes 25 in die leeren Nadeln des vorderen Nadelbettes V umgehängt, bevor ein erneuter Zyklus der Reihen 1 bis 6 erfolgt. Claims

Method of producing a knitted fabric on a flat knitting machine with two opposing needle beds (V, H) and a stitch transfer device, in which the knitted fabric (10, 20) comprises a base fabric (11, 21) and at least one parallel knitted fabric (12, 22) partially covering the base fabric (11, 21) and formed of at least two flat knitted fabrics (14, 15; 24, 25) arranged in parallel planes, and at most every second needle of a needle bed (V, H) is occupied by a stitch of the base fabric (11, 21) at least in the region of the at least one parallel knitted fabric (12, 22) and the needle of the other needle bed (V, H) opposite an occupied needle of the one needle bed is empty, and in which one of the flat knitted fabrics (14, 15; 24, 25) of the parallel knitted fabric (12, 22) is produced on the needle bed situated opposite the needle bed for forming the base fabric (11, 21) and the other flat knitted fabric or fabrics (14, 15; 24, 25) is/are produced in the empty needles of the needle bed on which the base fabric (11, 21) is formed.
Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the parallel knitted fabric (12, 22) is joined at least at one point to the base fabric (11, 21).
Method according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the flat knitted fabrics (14, 15; 24, 25) of the parallel knitted fabric (12, 22) are at least partially joined together.
Method according to one of claims 1 to 3, in which the parallel knitted fabric (12) comprises two flat knitted fabrics (14, 15) arranged in some regions behind the base fabric (11) and in some regions in front of the base fabric (11), the following steps being carried out in order to produce the flat knitted fabrics (14, 15) behind the base fabric (11):

a) forming a row of stitches for the base fabric (11) on the front needle bed (V);

b) transferring all of the stitches of the first flat knitted fabric (14) from the rear needle bed (H) to the empty needles of the front needle bed (V);

c) forming a row of stitches for the first flat knitted fabric (14) on the front needle bed (V);

d) forming a row of stitches for the second flat knitted fabric (15) on the rear needle bed (H);

e) transferring the stitches of the first flat knitted fabric (14) from the front needle bed (V) to the rear needle bed (H), and

f) repeating steps a) to e) until the flat knitted fabrics (14, 15) have reached the desired length;
and the following steps being carried out in order to transfer the flat knitted fabrics (14, 15) from the rear side to the front side of the base fabric (11):

g) transferring the stitches of the first flat knitted fabric (14) on the front needle bed (V) to the stitches of the present base fabric (11);

h) forming a row of stitches for the base fabric (11) on the front needle bed (V) and in the region of the parallel knitted fabric (12) on the rear needle bed (H);

i) forming first rows of stitches for the new first and second flat knitted fabrics (14, 15) on the front needle bed (V) and in the empty needles of the rear needle bed (H);

j) forming a row of stitches for the first flat knitted fabric (14) on the front needle bed (V);

k) transferring the stitches of the second flat knitted fabric (15) into the empty needles of the front needle bed (V), and

1) forming a row of stitches for the base fabric (11);
and the following steps then being carried out:

m) forming a row of stitches for the base fabric (11);

n) forming a row of stitches for the second flat knitted fabric (15) on the rear needle bed (H);

o) forming a row of stitches for the first flat knitted fabric (14) on the front needle bed (V);

p) transferring the stitches of the second flat knitted fabric (15) into the empty needles of the front needle bed (V);

q) forming a row of stitches for the base fabric (11) on the rear needle bed (H), and

r) repeating steps n) to q) until the parallel knitted fabric (12) has the desired length.
Method according to one of claims 1 to 3, in which the parallel knitted fabric (22) comprises a flat knitted fabric (24) with a jacquard effect (23) covered on its rear side by a second flat knitted fabric (25), characterised by the steps;

a) forming a row of stitches for the base fabric (21) on the rear needle bed (H);

b) transferring the stitches of the second flat knitted fabric (25) to the empty needles of the rear needle bed (H);

c) knitting stitches of the first flat knitted fabric (24) in the base colour of the jacquard pattern (23) on the front needle bed (V) and tying this thread on needles of the second flat knitted fabric (25) on the rear needle bed (H);

d) knitting stitches of the first flat knitted fabric in a second colour of the jacquard pattern (23) on the front needle bed (V) and tying this thread on needles of the second flat knitted fabric (25) on the rear needle bed (H);

e) transferring the stitches of the second flat knitted fabric (25) to the front needle bed (V), and

f) repeating steps a) to e) until the jacquard patterned region (23) has reached the desired length.
