Eine solche vorübergehende Abnehmbarkeit der Türen bringt einerseits den Vorteil mit sich, daß die Türen in gesonderten Arbeitsbereichen aufgarniert werden können, andererseits wird zugleich der Vorteil erreicht, daß die Montage und die Ausrüstung des Fahrzeuges bei abgenommenen Türen wesentlich rascher und leichter durchzuführen ist.
Unbeschadet des hieraus resultierenden Erfordernisses einer Trennbarkeit, insbesondere Aushängbarkeit, der Türscharniere besteht jedoch im modernen Kraftwagenbau die Notwendigkeit, eine dauerhaft absolut wartungsfreien Gestaltung der Scharnierlagerung zu gewährleisten.
Für die Gestaltung eines aushängbaren Türscharnieres der eingangs genannten Bauart ist daher bereits vorgeschlagen worden, daß der Scharnierstift mit dem aufsteckbaren Scharnierauge über eine mit diesem formschlüssig in Eingriff gelangende Profilierung mindestens eines Teiles seiner Länge drehsicher verbunden ist, wobei jeweils der Scharnierstift und das Scharnierauge der aushängbaren Scharnierhälfte wenigstens über einen Teil ihrer Länge hin mit axial gerichteten, radial verlaufenden, wechselweise angeordneten und ineinander greifenden Vorsprüngen und Vertiefungen versehen sind, insbesondere in der Weise, daß der in der einen Scharnierhälfte drehbar gelagerte Scharnierstift mit einem radial ausladenden, die obere Stirnfläche des Scharnierauges der einen Scharnierhälfte übergreifenden Bund versehen ist, der an seiner Oberseite mit axial gerichteten Rippen und Rillen bzw. Vorsprüngen und Vertiefungen versehen ist, welchen eine gleichartige axial gerichtete Profilierung in der Stirnfläche des Scharnierauges der anderen Scharnierhälfte zugeordnet ist. Eine solche Scharniergestaltung gestattet es, den Scharnierstift einerseits dauerhaft wartungsfrei in der einen Scharnierhälfte zu lagern, und ihn im Zuge des Einhängens der Türe gleichzeitig auch drehsicher mit der anderen Scharnierhälfte zu koppeln, so daß sicher gestellt ist, daß sich der Scharnierstift beim Öffnen und Schließen der Türe ausschließlich in der wartungsfreien Lagerung dreht.
Zur Sicherstellung einer absolut drehsicheren Verbindung zwischen Scharnierstift und aushängbarer Scharnierhälfte ist bei der bekannten Bauart aushängbarer Scharniere an beiden Teilen, Scharnierauge und Scharnierstift, eine große Anzahl axial gerichteter und verhältnismäßig hoher Vorsprünge sowie tiefer Vertiefungen vorgesehen. Eine solche nur durch durch spanende Formbegbung herstellbare wechselseitige Ausbildung von Vorsprüngen und Vertiefungen an Scharnierstift und Scharnierauge ist jedoch nur dann praktisch verwendbar, wenn Scharnierauge und Scharnierstift aus wenigstens annähernd gleich festen Werkstoffen, beispielsweise Stahl, bestehen. Bei Türscharnieren, deren beide Scharnierhälften bei modernen Fahrzeugkonzepten zur Gewichtsverminderung bevorzugt aus einem Leichtmetall, insbesondere Aluminium, bestehen, ist die vorstehend aufgezeigte und bekannte Gestaltungsweise einer drehsicheren Koppelung von aushängbarer Scharnierhälfte und Scharnierstift nicht anwendbar.

Gegen ein Wandern in axialer Richtung ist der Scharnierstift 2 innerhalb des Scharnierauges 4 dadurch gesichert, daß er einerseits einen radial ausladenden Bund 7 aufweist, mit welchem der die obere Stirnfläche 8 des Scharnierauges 4 der einen Scharnierhälfte 1 übergreift und andererseits die untere Stirnfläche 9 des Scharnierauges 4 überragt und in diesem Bereich unter Zwischenschaltung einer Beilagscheibe 10 durch einen Nietkopf 11 gesichert ist. Bei dem dargestellten Scharnier bestehen die beiden Scharnierhälften 1 und 3 jeweils aus einem Leichtmetall, insbesondere Aluminium, während der Scharnierstift 2 aus Stahl besteht. Der Bund des Scharnierstiftes 2 weist an seiner Oberseite eine schräg zur Scharnierachse 12 gerichtete konische Ausrichtfläche 13 auf, welcher eine komplementär, schräg zur Scharnierachse 12 gerichtete konische, am Scharnierauge 5 der aushängbaren Scharnierhälfte 3 ausgebildete Ausrichtfläche 14 zugeordnet ist. Zur Erzeugung einer drehsicheren formschlüssigen Koppelung zwischen dem Scharnierauge 5 der aushängbaren Scharnierhälfte 3 und dem Scharnierstift 2 sind an der Ausrichtfläche 13 des Scharnierstiftes 2 insgesamt drei axial vorspringende und sich über einen Teilbereich der Länge der Ausrichtfläche 13 hin erstreckenden Nocken 15 in, über deren Umfang hin gesehen, gleichmäßiger Verteilung angeordnet. Die in der Zeichnung nicht besonders hervorgehobene Ausrichtfläche 14 des Scharnierauges 5 hingegen ist vollständig glattflächig ausgebildet. Die an der Ausrichtfläche 13 des Scharnierstiftes 2 angeordneten Nocken 15 weisen, wie insbesondere aus der Darstellung der Figur 4 ersichtlich, eine sich zu einer gedachten Kegelspitze der konischen Ausrichtfläche 13 hin verjüngende Profilhöhe auf und erstrecken sich insgesamt über einen Bereich von etwa drei Vierteln der Gesamtlänge der Ausrichtfläche 13. Der Profilquerschnitt der Nocken 15 ist, wie insbesondere aus der Darstellung der Figur 5 ersichtlich, im Wesentlichen teilkreisförmig gestaltet.
