Abstract

The interior of the ink bath (3) has a second roller immersing at least partly in the printing ink (20), axis-parallel at a distance (b) from the cover (15) of the main roller (12). The ink bath has a somewhat U-shaped profile, which extends with a length beneath and axis-parallel to the screen roller (1). The length of the ink bath can amount to a quarter of the total length of the screen roller, so that four different ink baths can be arranged beneath the screen roller. Each ink bath (3) has face-side closure plates (6), which close the U-profile on both sides using screws. The closure plates with their side facing the screen roller (1) are matched to the periphery of the screen roller. On both closure plates in an axis-parallel direction to the screen roller axis pins are fixed.

Description

The invention relates to a chambered doctor blade device for a short inking unit of a rotary printing press according to the preamble of claim 1.

From DE 37 37 531 A1 a chamber doctor blade device for a short inking unit of a rotary printing press is known, which has a ink circulation chamber between a doctor roller and an ink roller, which receives a rotatable roller.

The invention has for its object to provide a chamber doctor blade device for a short inking unit of a rotary printing press, in which there is good ink mixing and a uniform distribution of the printing ink on the anilox roller even with the circulation of little printing ink.

This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

The following advantages are achieved in particular by the invention: due to the arrangement of the second roller, the printing ink is mixed thoroughly and in Connection with the rotating in the axis-parallel, rotating rubber roller evenly distributed on the outer surface of the anilox roller, so that an effort of the printing ink to settle on a long side of the chamber doctor device is counteracted. Furthermore, small amounts of printing ink are sufficient to ensure an adequate ink supply to the anilox roller, which is particularly important when using expensive spot colors.

A chambered doctor blade device, designated as a whole by 2, can be placed on an anilox roller 1 of a short inking unit. The chamber doctor blade device 2 can consist of an ink tray 3 with an approximately U-shaped profile, which extends with a length l below and axially parallel to the anilox roller 1. The length l of the ink tray 3 can be a quarter of the total length of the anilox roller 1 amount, so that four different ink tanks 3 can be arranged under the anilox roller 1. Each paint tray 3 has end plates 4, 6, which the U-profile on both sides z. B. close with screws. The striking plates 4; 6 are adapted with their side facing the anilox roller 1 to the periphery of the anilox roller 1. On both striking plates 4; 6 are in the axis-parallel direction to the anilox roller 1 and inside the chamber doctor device 2 pointing axles 7; 8 attached, on which via ball bearings 9; 11 both ends of a roller, e.g. B. rubber roller 12 is rotatably mounted. The rubber roller 12 has on its jacket 15 elevations 13 which, for. B. can be rhomboidal (shown in detail in Fig. 2). The rubber roller 12 is arranged at such a distance a from the anilox roller 1 that it can be driven by friction when the anilox roller 1 rotates, with a film of printing ink to be transferred to the anilox roller 1 between the anilox roller 1 and the rubber roller 12. The rubber roller 12 can also be separately by a drive unit, not shown, for. B. an electric motor. At the bottom 14 of the ink pan 3, ie at a short distance from it and at a distance b from the jacket 15 of the rubber roller 12, several, for. ß. two driven disks 17 located next to one another in the axis-parallel direction; 18 arranged, the drive shafts 19; 21 run at right angles to the axis of rotation 22 and to outside of Chamber doctor device 2 located, not shown drives can lead. The drives can e.g. B. flanged outside on the bottom 14 of the ink pan 3. The distance b between the disks 17; 18 to the rubber roller 12 is for each disc 17; 18 individually adjustable. But it is also possible that the distance b of the disks 17; 18 to the rubber roller 12 for both disks 17; 18 is adjustable together. The chambered doctor device 2 has two resilient doctor blades - a working doctor blade 23 and a closing doctor blade 24 - which are arranged at a distance from one another and can be adjusted, which extend in the axis-parallel direction to the anilox roller 1 and in strip-shaped holders 26; 27 are clamped. The holder 26; 27 for the squeegee 23; 24 are form-fitting on both ends with the striking plates 4; 6 of the chamber doctor blade device 2 connected.

According to a further exemplary embodiment, it is possible, instead of one or more driven disks 17; 18 below and axially parallel to the roller 12 to arrange a second roller, not shown, spaced at a distance b, which rotates along with the roller 12, ie clockwise (FIG. 1). The second roller can be driven synchronously with the drive of the roller 12. The material as well as the surface of the second roller can be designed as described for the roller 12. The second roller can also have a steel jacket. The diameter of the second roller can vary from the diameter of the Roller 12 deviate. Should the second roller be moved by the roller 12 by means of a friction drive, a smaller diameter of the second roller would be advantageous. The ink tray 3 can be arranged so as to be pivotable by an angle alpha.

The angle alpha can be between zero and 45 °. A filling height h of the printing ink 20 can be between a quarter to half the diameter of the roller 12.
