Claims (7)

  1. Removable barrier element (1) which can be used with other removable elements so as to constitute a so-called "safety barrier", the said element comprising lateral uprights (10a) provided with means of attachment (16) to the adjacent barrier elements (2), and a swing door (20) which can be locked in the plane of the barrier so as to prevent the latter being crossed, and which can be turned aside by pivoting so as to permit the passage of persons either side of the barrier, the element (1) being characterized in that the lateral uprights (10a) extend upwards and are connected to each other at their upper part by a crosspiece (12), this crosspiece (12) being situated at a height such that it enables a person to pass.
  2. Barrier element according to claim 1, characterized in that its upper part accommodates a panel (13) carrying information.
  3. Barrier element according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that it includes at least two lateral bars (25) forming feet for holding the element (1) in a vertical position, which are articulated at their upper part to one of the lateral uprights of the element (1) and which include, at their lower part, retractable rods (26) forming, in the active position, a strut for holding the bars (25) in the deployed position, and creating no obstacle, in the withdrawn position, to the bars (25) being folded back against the lateral uprights (10a) of the element (1).
  4. Barrier element according to claim 3, characterized in that it includes two pairs of lateral bars (25) forming feet, each pair being mounted so as to pivot on one of the lateral uprights (lOa) of the element (1), the two bars (25) situated on the same side of the element (1) being connected together by the same pivoting retractable rod (26), elbowed at least twice so as to have an elongated central part (26a) parallel to a lower crosspiece (14) which the element (1) includes, this lower crosspiece (14) of the element (1) including grooves (15a) capable of receiving and detachably retaining the elongated central parts (26a) of the rods (26).
  5. Barrier element according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that one of its lateral uprights (10a) includes lugs (16) curved in the shape of a hook, which can be engaged around the corresponding lateral upright (3a) of the adjacent element (2), these lugs (16) bearing tie rods (31) connected to a locking bar (30), this locking bar (30) being movable, by pivoting the tie rods, between a withdrawn position, in which the lateral upright (3a) of the adjacent barrier element (2) may be introduced into the lugs (16) or disengaged from these, and a locking position in which it comes into contact with the lateral upright (3a) of the adjacent barrier element (2), so a to hold it in the bottom of the curved parts of the lugs (16) and to prevent any disengagement of this upright (3a) from these lugs (16).
  6. Barrier element according to claim 5, characterized in that one or other of the lugs (16) and the bar (30) include holes which face each other in the locking position of the bar (30), permitting the passage of a suitable locking means, such as the staple of a padlock.
  7. Barrier element according to claim 6, characterized in that it includes a pivoting catch (40) having a hole which faces the aforementioned two holes in the locking position of the swing door (20), so that this catch (40) can be immobilized by this same means of locking or padlock.
