Abstract

L'invention concerne un piston en métal léger (1) pour moteurs à combustion interne d'automobiles. Afin d'améliorer le guidage du piston dans le cylindre par un comportement uniforme sous différentes sollicitations du côté pression et/ou contre-pression de la jupe du piston (4), l'épaisseur de la paroi de la jupe du piston, doit être différente dans la zone du côté pression et/ou contre-pression de celle d'autres zones, de manière qu'il y ait, dans cette zone, un épaississement (10) sur le côté intérieur de la jupe du piston, qui diminue progressivement depuis l'arête inférieure (7) de la jupe et depuis un plan médian situé dans le sens longitudinal du piston et dans le sens de la pression/contre-pression, pour revenir à l'épaisseur normale.
