Also the fact that the paths for the two drive units are somewhat independent ensures at least one order of isolation between the high frequency and low frequency units while each is rigidly coupled to the floor.
  • the isolation of the low frequency drive unit from the front baffle reduces box colouration due to acoustic radiation from the baffle board.

Claims (11)

  1. Lautsprecher, der ein Gehäuse (2) mit einer Schallschluckwand (7), das eine Betriebseinheit (4) umschließt, aufweist, gekennzeichnet durch Mittel (6) zum Abkoppeln der Schallschluckwand vom Gehäuse und durch Mittel (3, 5) zur Befestigung der Betriebseinheit (4) am Gehäuse (2) entfernt von der Schallschluckwand (7), so daß die Betriebseinheit (4) von der Schallschluckwand (7) abgekoppelt ist.
  2. Lautsprecher nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß die Betriebseinheit (4) eine Mittel- und/oder Tieffrequenzbetriebseinheit ist, und daß eine Hochfrequenzbetriebseinheit (8) direkt auf der Schallschluckwand (7) befestigt ist.
  3. Lautsprecher nach Anspruch 1 oder Anspruch 2, gekennzeichnet durch elastische Dichtungsmittel (5), die die Betriebseinheit an der Schallschluckwand abdichten und gleichzeitig beide getrennt voneinander halten.
  4. Lautsprecher nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß das Gehäuse (2) kastenförmig ist, daß die Schallschluckwand (7) die Vorderseite des Gehäuses bildet, daß das Gehäuse eine Rückwand (9) gegenüber der Vorderseite aufweist, und daß die Betriebseinheit (4) an der Rückwand des Gehäuses befestigt ist.
  5. Lautsprecher nach Anspruch 4, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß die Betriebseinheit (4) auf mindestens einer Säule (3) montiert ist, die von der Rückwand (9) aus in das Gehäuse ragt.
  6. Lautsprecher nach Anspruch 5, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß die oder jede Säule (3) entlang ihrer Länge abgeschrägt ist.
  7. Lautsprecher nach Anspruch 5 oder Anspruch 6, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß die oder jede Säule (3) integral mit der Rückwand (9) des Gehäuses (2) verbunden ist.
  8. Lautsprecher nach einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 7, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß die Hochfrequenzbetriebseinheit (8) an ihrer Position im Gehäuse so angebracht ist, daß sie zwischen der Schallschluckwand (7) und einer oder mehreren Säulen (3) klemmt.
  9. Lautsprecher nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß die Schallschluckwand (7) von einer oder mehreren Säulen (3) gehalten wird.
  10. Lautsprecher nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß die Schallschluckwand (7) und das Gehäuse (2) an ihren jeweiligen Kanten mittels einer elastischen Dichtung (6) gegeneinander abgedichtet sind, ohne einander direkt zu berühren.
  11. Lautsprecher nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, gekennzeichnet dadurch, daß das Gehäuse (2) und/oder die Schallschluckwand (7) aus einem Kunststoffmaterial geformt sind.
