Abstract

Claims (12)

  1. Method for a simplified warp change on weaving machines, on which the end portion of a warp is pulled forwards over a specific length, in which method the warp yarns of the woven-out warp are fixed and cut off by a rail-like member and the warp yarns of the new warp are clamped on a tying-in frame which has clamping members and which is transported to the weaving machine, on which the warp-yarn layer of the woven-out warp is inserted into the clamping members, characterised in that the warp-yarn layer (Ka) of the woven-out warp is fixed on a roller (24) assigned to the clamping members (K1, K2) and is pulled back out of the weaving machine over the said specific length as a result of the rotation of this roller.
  2. Method according to Claim 1, in which the warp yarns of the woven-out warp, after being cut off, are wound up to form a roll, characterised in that the winding length is at least as large as the spacing between the said roller (24) and the clamping member (K1) further removed from this.
  3. Method according to Claim 2, characterised in that, before the woven-out warp (Ka) is pulled back, a comb is inserted into this in the region between the tying-in frame (7) and the warp-yarn regulator.
  4. Apparatus for carrying out the method according to Claim 1, with a tying-in frame having clamping members for two yarn layers, characterised by a rotatable winding roller (24) arranged parallel to the clamping members (K1, K2) and having fixing means (25) for the warp yarns (Ka), and by a carrier unit (6) for the said winding roller (24) and for the tying-in frame (7), the said carrier unit (6) preferably being provided for mounting on a warp-beam transport unit (BW).
  5. Apparatus according to Claim 4, characterised in that the carrier unit (6) is made platform-like and is arranged on the warp-beam transport unit (BW) so as to be of adjustable height.
  6. Apparatus according to Claim 5, characterised in that the tying-in frame (7) and the winding unit (8) are arranged displaceably in the transverse direction of the warp-beam transport unit (BW).
  7. Apparatus according to Claim 6, characterised by two supporting columns (5) which can be fastened to the warp-beam transport unit (BW) and on which trolley-like holding members (9) for the carrier unit (6) are guided.
  8. Apparatus according to Claim 7, characterised in that the carrier unit (6) is mounted on the holding members (9) so as to be displaceable via running rollers (11) and running rails (12) and fixable in two positions.
  9. Apparatus according to one of Claims 4 to 8, characterised in that the fixing means of the winding roller (24) are formed by a clamping rail (25) releasably connectable to the latter.
  10. Apparatus according to Claim 9, characterised by a brake for fixing the winding roller (24) in any rotary positions.
  11. Apparatus according to Claim 10, characterised in that the brake is formed by a drum brake having a steel band looping round the winding roller (24).
  12. Apparatus according to Claim 9, characterised in that the winding roller (24) is mounted pivotably in a frame (21, 22) connected fixedly to the carrier unit (6).
