Bei einem bekannten Kühl- oder Gefrierschrank dieser Art (DE 39 35 212 Al) ist eine Abstellplatte einstückig aus einer Glasscheibe gefertigt, deren rückwärtige Seitenkante nach oben zu einem Stützrand umgebogen ist. Dieser Stützrand verläuft bei in den Kühl- oder Gefrierschrank eingeschobener Abstellplatte parallel zur Rückwand eines betreffenden Innenbehälters, wobei in parallel zueinander laufenden senkrechten Seitenwänden des Innenbehälters U-förmige Führungsnuten eingeformt sind. In sich gegenüberstehende Führungsnuten greifen dabei parallel zueinander und senkrecht zum Stützrand verlaufende Seitenränder der Abstellplatte verschiebbar ein. Der Stützrand erstreckt sich dabei nur über die Länge der betreffenden Seitenkante, die der lichten Weite zwischen den sich gegenüberliegenden U-förmigen Führungsnuten entspricht. Bei einer Ausgestaltung eines Kühl- oder Gefrierschranks gemäß der Erfindung kann für die Abstellplatte, die insbesondere aus einer bruchsicheren Glasscheibe herzustellen ist, eine dünne Materialscheibe ohne Eckausschnitte verwendet werden, so daß beim Umbiegen der rückwärtigen Seitenkante der dadurch gebildete Stützrand in die Führungsnuten eines Innenbehälters reicht. Bei einer lichten Höhe der Führungsnuten von beispielsweise etwa 15 mm und einer Materialstärke der Abstellplatte im Bereich ihrer Seitenränder von etwa 4 mm kann somit ein Stützrand mit einer Höhe bis zu 10 mm ausgebildet werden. Diese Höhe reicht jedenfalls aus, um auf die Abstellplatte aufgeschobene Güter am Abrutschen über die rückwärtige Seitenkante zu hindern. Da die rückwärtige Seitenkante zudem mit Abstand von der Rückwand des Innenbehälters bzw. einem dort angeordneten Verdampfer gehalten wird, kann zu kühlendes Gut nicht bis an den Verdampfer herangeschoben werden und dort festfrieren bzw. unterkühlt werden. Durch den Eingrif des hochgestelllten Stützrandes in die Führungsnuten wird zudem eine erhöhte Kippsicherheit der Abstellplatte besonders beim Herausziehen aus den Führungsnuten erreicht, weil der Stützrand bis zum vollständigen Herausziehen mit der oberen Flanke der betreffenden FÜhrungsnut in Eingriff bleibt und ein frühzeitiges Abkippen verhindert. Wird die Abstellplatte in Richtung der Tiefe des Innenbehälters nur etwa halb so lang wie die Länge der betreffenden Führungsnuten ausgebildet, dann kann eine weitere gleichgestaltete, entsprechend kurz ausgebildete Abstellplatte zusätzlich eingeschoben werden, deren Stützrand dann vorzugsweise nach unten gerichtet ist. Bei einem Kühl- oder Gefrierschrank weist eine Abstellplatte 1, die aus einer rechteckigen Scheibe aus Glas, Kunststoff oder Metall gefertigt ist, gegenüberliegende Seitenränder 2 auf, die in Führungsnuten 3 eines Innenbehälters zu schieben sind. Die Führungsnuten 3 sind zu der bei 5 angedeuteten Öffnungsebene hin offen, während ihre gegenüberliegenden Enden 6 mit Abstand von der der Öffnungsebene 5 gegenüberliegenden Rückwand 7 des Innenbehälters liegen. Eine senkrecht zu den Seitenrändern 2 verlaufende Seitenkante des Abstellstplatte 1 ist als Stützrand 8 gegenüber der zwischen den Seitenrändern 2 und dem Stützrand 8 eingeschlossenen eigentlichen Abstellplatte für zu kühlendes Gut umgebogen. Dieser Stützrand 8 erstreckt sich über die gesamte Breite der Abstellplatte einschließlich der Seitenränder 2 und greift wie die Seitenränder 2 in die Führungsnuten 3 ein. Die lichte Höhe der Führungsnuten 3 ist dabei wesentlich größer als die Materialstärke der eingreifenden Seitenränder 2 bzw. der eigentlichen Abstellplatte. Dabei ist die Höhe des Stützrandes 8 zumindest im Bereich der Führungsnuten 3 bzw. der Seitenränder 2 an die Höhe der Führungsnuten 3 angepaßt. Der Stützrand 8 ragt bei der bis an das Ende 6 der betreffenden Führungsnut 3 eingeschobenen Abstellplatte 1 nach oben und bewirkt so neben einer Versteifung der Abstellplatte auch, daß aufgelegtes Kühlgut nicht nach hinten in den Spalt zwischen dem Schlitz 8 und der Rückwand des Innenbehälters geschoben werden kann. Vorzugsweise ist die Höhe des Sützrandes über seine gesamte Länge gleichbleibend, so daß ein einfacher rechteckiger Materialzuschnitt für die Herstellung der gesamten Abstellplatte 1 verwendet werden kann.In a refrigerator or freezer, a
