Description

The invention relates to a device for dehumidifying insulation layers or voids lying under a cover layer, in particular in the case of floors, walls, ceilings or similar parts of buildings, with at least two compressors, one of which serves as a pressure conveyor for introducing dry air into the insulation layer or the cavity and the serves as a suction conveyor for extracting the moist air from the insulating layer or the cavity, these compressors being provided in a common transportable frame or housing.

For example, a device of the type mentioned at the outset is known in which both a dry blower pressing the screed and a blower extracting the moist air are fastened in the same soundproof housing (DE-OS 38 15 161). The air enriched with the moisture, for example, to be removed from the insulating material, is pressed by the suction fan to a dryer, which, however, is arranged outside the housing. Since the noises generated by the two fans are retained in the soundproof housing of this previously known device, it is possible to leave them in an apartment, for example, during their operation.
By using fans, the known device is only suitable for dehumidifying only comparatively small objects to be dried out. Although through the accommodation Both fans in the same housing facilitate the transport of the entire device, but the connection of the air dryer to the suction fan and the hoses connected to the screed to the connecting pieces of the fans means that a certain amount of work is involved in the construction of this previously known device.

A device for dehumidification is also already known, in which a suction fan and, upstream of this, a water separator are also accommodated in the same mobile housing (EP 0 247 216). While the inlet of the suction fan is connected to the insulation layer to be dehumidified via a suction line with the interposition of the water separator, the outlet of the fan leads outwards from the housing and can also be connected to a dehumidifier if necessary. This previously known device is only suitable for smaller objects to be dehumidified; during operation, this known device also remains in the room to be dehumidified. It may be disadvantageous that the heated air sucked in by the fan of the device from the insulating material and enriched with moisture is released again into the room, because the furniture in the room can be affected because of the inevitable increase in air humidity and room temperature.

A device for dehumidifying materials located below a cover layer is already known, in which the dry air is pressed into the material to be dehumidified at one edge of the cover layer and sucked off again at another edge of the cover layer, now enriched with moisture (DE- PS 33 06 044). By means of this previously known device, a closed air flow can practically be formed, since both the pressure and suction blowers and the condensers are connected in series in their air flow. In this previously known device So the ambient air is not contaminated with moisture, however, to set up this known device, its individual units first have to be connected to one another, which represents a not inconsiderable amount of transport and work. In addition, the device also remains in the room to be dehumidified, which considerably limits the usability of this room due to its comparatively large space requirement.

Even if individual units are housed in a common housing, all of these previously known devices require a comparatively high outlay on equipment, since at least the dehumidifiers still have to be connected. In addition, these devices are mostly designed only for dehumidifying comparatively small objects; they are therefore regularly left in the rooms to be dehumidified, the further usability of which is also significantly impaired by the development of noise and heat. Since the dehumidification of the object to be refurbished is usually accompanied by a not insignificant increase in room humidity and heat, there is a risk that the furniture and similar furnishings remaining in the object to be refurbished will be affected.

It is therefore the task of creating a device of the type mentioned at the outset, with which either large-area as well as merely small objects can be dehumidified and in which only a small outlay is required for transport and assembly. The device according to the invention should also be able to be accommodated outside of the rooms or buildings to be dehumidified, so that they can continue to be used without significant impairment of space or noise.

The achievement of this task consists in the Device of the type mentioned in particular in that at least two pressure conveyors connected in parallel in their air flow are connected to a corresponding number of air dryers also connected in parallel, and that the same number of suction conveyors, in turn connected in parallel, are provided, the pressure conveyors, the suction conveyors and the air dryers are also separated from one another on or in the common frame or housing and at least the connection between the air dryers and the pressure conveyors is hermetically separated from the surroundings.
By using several pressure and suction conveyors, the device according to the invention has sufficient power to be able to renovate even large objects. By switching individual compressors on and off, the circulating air volume can be adapted to the size of the object to be dehumidified, so that even small objects can be dehumidified with the device according to the invention. The pressure conveyors, the suction conveyors and also the air dryers are accommodated on a common transportable frame and only have to be connected to the insulation layer or the like to be dehumidified by means of dry air via pressure and suction lines. Since the pressure conveyors, the suction conveyors and also the air dryers are arranged on a common portable frame or housing, the device for transporting or assembling the device according to the invention consisting of different units is reduced to a portable size. Due to the parallel connection of the pressure conveyors and the suction conveyors, the air pressure generated by the device remains approximately the same as compared to a series connection, without the fire risk or the wear of its devices increasing significantly.
Since a comparatively high pressure can also be generated by means of the device according to the invention, the dry air and the air enriched with moisture can be transported to and from the device via relatively long air hoses be blown. It is therefore expedient to set it up outside the building to be renovated and only guide the air hoses into the interior of the building. This has the advantage that the rooms can be used practically unhindered practically without noise and heat impairments.

It is expedient if a power generator is provided on or in the common frame or housing for supplying power to the compressors and possibly also the air dryer. The location of the device according to the invention can thus be selected outside the building to be renovated, regardless of an external power source.

It is advantageous if the pressure conveyors, the suction conveyors, the air dryers and, if appropriate, the power generator are accommodated in a common, preferably sound-insulated, portable housing and are expediently arranged there in separate housing chambers. By dividing the pressure conveyors, the suction conveyors and the air dryers from one another, the weight forces within the housing can be optimally distributed and a high air throughput can nevertheless be achieved. In addition, it is possible in a simple manner to hermetically separate the connection, for example between the air dryers and the pressure conveyors, from the environment by the department of the units.
In order to promote the ease of maintenance of the device according to the invention, it is expedient if the individual housing chambers have access openings arranged on the outside of the housing.

A particularly simple embodiment according to the invention provides that each of the outlet ports of the air dryer leads into the hermetically sealed chamber of the pressure conveyors, which suck in the required air from this chamber.

In order on the one hand to suck in the air required for dehumidification from the atmosphere and on the other hand to be able to release the air enriched with moisture into the atmosphere again, it is expedient if the chamber of the air dryer and the chamber of the suction conveyor each have at least one air opening leading to the outside exhibit.

The installation and the ease of use of the device according to the invention is favored if the air outlets of the pressure conveyors and the air inlets of the suction conveyors can be connected to the insulating layer or the cavity to be dehumidified via air hoses that can preferably be wound up, and if the winding drums of these hoses are also expediently in or on the housing are stored.

In order to be able to match the air throughput in the pressure conveyors and in the suction conveyors well with one another and to avoid an excess pressure in the impact sound insulation of a floor or the like, it is expedient if the individual compressors of the device provide approximately the same air delivery volume per unit of time. It is advantageous if a controller is provided at least for the compressors, which switches on the same number of suction or pressure conveyors when a desired number of pressure conveyors or suction conveyors are put into operation.

A particularly advantageous embodiment according to the invention of independent importance provides that the device housing is designed as a road vehicle, in particular as a trailer, so that it can be brought very easily and quickly to a building to be renovated if it is for the renovation very large areas is equipped with correspondingly strong or numerous machines.

In Fig. 1, a device 1 is shown in its cross section, which serves to dehumidify insulation layers lying under a cover layer or cavities, such as those that occur in floors, walls, ceilings or similar parts of buildings. The device 1 has six compressors, three of which are provided as pressure conveyors 2 for introducing dry air into the insulating layer or the cavity and three more as suction conveyors 3 for sucking out the moist air from the insulating layer. On the suction side of the pressure conveyor 2, three air dryers 4 are connected upstream in the direction of their air flow, with the aid of which the air required for dehumidification and taken from the atmosphere is dried before being pressed into the insulation layer or the cavity.

The pressure conveyor 2, the suction conveyor 3 and the air dryer 4 are connected in parallel in their air flow. The pressure conveyors 2, the suction conveyors 3 and the air dryers 4 are fastened to one another in a shared, portable housing 5 in which a power generator 6 is also provided for supplying power to the compressors 2 and 3. The individual aggregate groups are each housed in separate housing chambers K1 to K4. The division of these chambers K1 to K4 from one another makes it possible in a simple manner to also hermetically separate the connection, for example, between the air dryers 4 and the pressure conveyors 2 from the environment: while the chamber K3, the air dryer 4, as well as the chamber K4 of the suction conveyor 3, has an outwardly leading air opening 7, through which the air required for dehumidification can be extracted from the atmosphere, the air dryers 4 are connected hermetically with their outlet 8 to the chamber K2, in which the pressure conveyor 2 are located.
During operation of the device 1, the pressure conveyors 2 in the chamber K2 suck in the required amount of air from the atmosphere via the outlet connection 8 of the air dryer 4, which air can enter the housing 5 via the air opening 7 of the chamber K3. The outputs 9 of the pressure conveyor 2 are connected to one another via a common compressed air line 10 which in this case runs through the housing 5 and which leads to a compressed air connection stub 11 accessible in the chamber K5. From there, the dry air drawn in by the pressure conveyors 2 is pressed into the insulating material to be dehumidified via air hoses 12.

Since the air inlets of the pressure conveyor 2 are not directly connected to the outlet connection 8 of the air dryer 4, but instead suck in the required amount of air via their hermetically sealed chamber K2, any individual devices of the pressure conveyor 2 can be operated with individual ones of the air dryer 4.

By means of the pressure conveyors 2, the dry air is pressed into the insulation layer, which is regularly located under a screed or similar top layer, via expansion joints that are usually present on the edge of the top layer, or also through holes drilled in the top layer. In order not to unnecessarily expose the room to be renovated and the furniture in it to an increased room temperature or humidity, the air that is pressed through the insulating material and is now enriched with moisture is then sucked off again via expansion joints or bores that are present or prepared elsewhere.

The suction of the air flow enriched with moisture takes place through the suction conveyors 3, which are provided in the chamber K4 of the device 1. For this purpose, the suction conveyors 3 are also connected via air hoses 12 to the corresponding expansion joint or bore in the room to be renovated, the air hoses 12 being connectable to the suction air connection stub 13 accessible from the chamber K5.
The suction conveyors 3 in the chamber K4 are also connected in parallel; while their suction inputs 14 are hermetically sealed to the suction air connecting piece 13, their outputs 15 only lead into the interior of the chamber K4, from where they can escape into the atmosphere via the air opening 7 provided there.

As FIGS. 1 to 3 show, the individual chambers K1 to K4 containing the power generator 6, the pressure conveyor 2, the suction conveyor 3 and the air dryer 4 and also the chamber K5 of the housing provided with the connecting pieces 11 and 13 of the compressor 5 each have an access opening 16, each of which can be closed via a door and enables entry into the chambers K1 to K5.

In Figure 2 it can be seen that the air outlets of the pressure conveyor 2 and the air inlets of the suction conveyor 3 can be connected via windable air hoses 12 to the insulating layer or the cavity to be dehumidified, the winding drums 17 of which are mounted on the housing 5 inside the chamber K5. From Figure 2 it is clear that the device housing 5 is designed as a roadworthy two-axle trailer, which can be coupled via a trailer coupling 18 to a transport vehicle, not shown here.

In order to avoid excess pressure in the insulating layer to be dehumidified and to be able to adapt the delivery volume of the pressure conveyors 2 in operation to the delivery volume of the suction conveyor 3, the individual compressors 2 and 3 have approximately the same air delivery volume per unit of time. By starting up only one or two pressure and suction conveyors 2, 3, the performance of the device 1 can be adapted to the size of the object to be dehumidified. A control 19 visible in FIGS. 1 and 2 is provided, which switches on the same number of suction conveyors 3 when a desired number of pressure conveyors 2 are to be put into operation.

In the device 1 shown here, the condenser drying systems provided as air dryers should have a total dehumidification capacity of 1,000 liters per day at 85% RH and 25 ° C. The air drawn in from the atmosphere by the pressure conveyors 2 is dried to 40% RH by the condenser drying systems, in order to then be pressed into the insulating material to be dehumidified as dry air. In the chamber K2 there are 2 overpressure systems serving as pressure conveyors with a total air delivery rate of 23 cbm / min. are available, which are connected in parallel to each other, so that, depending on requirements, all can be put into operation at once can be or just a pressure conveyor or two. The device 1 shown here thus has an air delivery volume which is sufficient for technical drying in the insulation layer area up to approximately 70 square meters of floor space. By connecting the compressors in parallel, the device 1 designed as a mobile drying device can be placed up to 300 meters from the object to be dried out, this distance being easily overcome with the aid of the air hoses 12.

As FIG. 3 shows, it is now possible in the device 1 according to the invention to place the necessary machine and device units outside of the building at a suitable location, so that the often difficult placement of the units inside the building at a suitable location is eliminated and the noise development can be damped within the possibly still insulated housing so that it does not disturb the occupants or users of the building. This considerably simplifies the installation for the operation of the device 1 because only the housing 5 has to be brought into the area of the building to be renovated and the corresponding hose lines 12 have to be laid. Since the housing 5 of the device is designed as a roadworthy trailer and is also provided with a trailer coupling 18, the device 1 can be transported very easily and quickly to the intended installation location even if the device 1 for the renovation of very large areas with correspondingly strong or numerous machines and units. By dividing the aggregate groups in the housing 5 by means of the partition walls 20 dividing the housing 5 into chambers K1 to K5, the weight forces can be distributed as well as possible within the housing or trailer and still achieve a high air passage, so that the lines can also be branched under certain circumstances can and still everyone single line pressure with enough air on the one hand and also sufficiently high pressure on the other hand can be applied.
Since the device 1 also has its own power generator 6, which is also provided in the housing 5, the drying unit can also be used where there are no sufficiently high currents available to supply the electrical drives of the compressors. The power generator 6 is operated with its own drive motor, which is preferably designed as an internal combustion engine.

The device 1 thus represents a mobile drying unit which can be set up quickly and easily outside a building to be renovated and thus without taking up space inside the building and without affecting the interior of the building, and is even independent of the power supply.
