Definitions

  • the invention relates to a watch with a watch case, the viewing opening of which is closed by a glass, with a bezel arranged rotatably drivably in the interior of the watch case, with a ring gear arranged on the bezel, into which a drive gear engages, which can be rotatably driven from the outside of the case is, the bezel can be driven rotatable by certain angular steps and can be fixed in a latching position by a latching device which resiliently latches after a completed angular step.
  • a clock of the type mentioned is known.
  • the actuating shaft can be axially displaced until it engages with a radially protruding driver attached to it in a corresponding recess in the drive gear, and a rotationally fixed connection is thus established.
  • a large installation space is required due to the axial displacement of the control values.
  • a watch with a continuously adjustable bezel is known from CH-A-17 13/62 and CH-A-499 147, which has a ring gear arranged on the bezel, into which a drive gear engages.
  • the drive sprocket is non-rotatably arranged on an adjusting shaft which can be rotated manually.
  • the object of the invention is to design clocks of the type mentioned in such a way that the bezel can be precisely positioned in the desired position in a simple manner.
  • the manually rotatably drivable control shaft can be brought into operative connection with a drive pin rigidly connected to the drive gear, and the drive gear engages in the ring gear of the bezel, that the drive pin can be rotatably driven by the control shaft, drive pin and control shaft arranged coaxially to each other and freely rotatable relative to each other about their longitudinal axes by a certain angle, and wherein this drive pin on its cylindrical outer surface has a locking recess into which a radially resiliently loaded locking element can be locked.
  • the exact position of the desired setting of the bezel is determined and held in a simple manner by the latching device. Since the adjusting shaft is only in operative connection with the drive pin for the adjustment process, but is otherwise effectively decoupled, any application of force to the locking device in the adjustment direction is avoided.
  • the end of the drive pin facing the actuating shaft can have a rectangular cross section and a certain play is encompassed by the prongs of the fork-shaped end of the actuating shaft which extend axially to the longitudinal axis of the drive pin.
  • the tines can have a circular sector-like cross section.
  • the adjusting shaft For manual adjustment of the adjusting shaft, it can be rotatably mounted in a recess connecting the inside of the watch case to the outside of the watch case and can wear a crown at its end protruding from the watch case.
  • a seal enclosing the recess can be arranged between the crown and the watch case, which can be an elastic sealing ring arranged between the watch case and the crown to ensure tightness.
  • a particularly simple and at the same time securely positioned locking element is a locking ball.
  • the latching element can be arranged movably in a radially extending guide fixed to the housing.
  • the spring-loaded locking element tries always take the position that is the least distant from the longitudinal axis of the drive pin. This is exactly the center of the V-shaped recess. This ensures that the drive pin and thus the bezel are positioned exactly.
  • a particularly exact positioning with securing in the set position is achieved in that the drive pin has a plurality of latching depressions distributed around the circumference, into which latching elements can be resiliently latched. Only a small amount of installation space is required if the locking recesses are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the drive journal and distributed uniformly over the circumference.
  • annular spring encloses all the latching elements in contact with the radially outer ends of the latching elements, only a single spring element is required to act on all the latching elements.
  • the V-shaped locking recesses simultaneously form ramps for moving the locking elements radially outward, which have a pitch angle that ensures a non-blocking movement of the locking elements.
  • the watch shown in the figures has a watch case 1 with a viewing opening 2, which is closed by a glass 3.
  • An annular bezel 4 is rotatably mounted in the interior of the watch case 1. On its side facing away from the viewing opening 2, the bezel 4 is provided with a toothed ring 5, into which a radially directed one Longitudinal axis 6 rotatably drivable drive gear 7 engages.
  • the drive gear 7 is non-rotatably connected to a drive pin 8 rotatable about the longitudinal axis 6.
  • the free end 9 of the drive pin 8 directed towards the outside of the housing has a rectangular cross section, which is gripped with play by the prongs 10 of the fork-shaped end of an adjusting shaft 11 directed towards the inside of the watch case 1.
  • the adjusting shaft 11 extends coaxially to the drive pin 8 through a recess 12 in the watch case 1 to the outside of the case and carries there a crown 13 which is screwed onto a thread 14 at the end of the adjusting shaft 11 protruding from the watch case 1.
  • an outwardly projecting bearing sleeve 15 is inserted, in which the actuating shaft 11 is rotatably supported and axially secured.
  • the crown 13 encompasses the outer end of the bearing sleeve 15 in a pot-like manner, an elastic sealing ring 16 being arranged under radial prestress between the part of the crown 13 encompassing the bearing sleeve 15 and the cylindrical outer surface of the bearing sleeve 15. As a result, the inside of the watch case 1 is sealed off from the outside.
  • the tines 10 have a circular sector-like cross section, the extent of which is less than 180 °.
  • the approximately diagonally opposite contact legs 17 of the tines 10 run parallel to each other with a distance that is slightly larger than that Width of the rectangular end 9 of the drive pin 8 is.
  • a game between the tines 10 and the rectangular end 9 is achieved, which ensures free rotation by a certain angle of the drive pin 8 and the actuating shaft 11 relative to one another.
  • the drive pin 8 is rotatably mounted in a bearing bore 18 of a positioning piece 19 arranged fixedly in the watch case 1.
  • the drive pin 8 On its cylindrical outer surface, the drive pin 8 is provided with three latching depressions 20 distributed uniformly on the circumference on a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 6.
  • the locking recesses 20 have a V-shaped cross section and extend transversely to the longitudinal axis 6. This configuration means that the drive pin 8 has a cross section in the center of the locking recesses 20, which forms an isosceles triangle.
  • three radially directed guides 21 are formed in the positioning piece 19, evenly distributed on the circumference, in each of which a locking ball 22 is guided so as to be radially movable.
  • the positioning piece 19 is provided in the center of the guides 21 with a radially outwardly open, radially circumferential annular groove 23, in which an annular spring 24 is arranged, which surrounds the locking balls 22 and acts resiliently radially inwards. As a result, the locking balls 22 are pressed into the locking recesses located in their area.
  • the various positions of an adjustment step are shown in FIGS. 3 to 7.
  • FIG. 3 shows the basic position in which these two components are out of operative connection due to the play between drive pin 8 and actuating shaft 11. This can be seen in particular in FIG. 3b.
  • the locking ball 22 is pressed by the ring spring 24 into its lowest possible position in the locking recesses 20. Since the drive pin 8 is freely rotatable by a certain amount, the locking balls 22 act on the locking recesses 20 so that the drive pin 8 and thus also the bezel 4 assume the exact position to be positioned.
  • the actuating shaft 11 is moved by means of the crown 13 until the prongs 10 abut against the locating surfaces 25 of the end 9 of the drive pin 8 and this further rotated along. This is shown approximately in FIG. 4.
  • the locking balls 22 are already moved radially outwards by a small amount through the walls of the locking recesses 20. This radial movement of the locking ball 22 to the outside is continued by further turning the crown 13 and the adjusting shaft 11 until the maximum position shown in FIG. 5 is reached, in which the locking balls 22 are on the border between two adjacent locking recesses.
  • the locking balls 22 move into the locking recess (FIG. 6) adjacent to their original locking recess until they have largely assumed the lowest possible position in this new locking recess 20. If the crown 13 is no longer actuated, the locking balls press 22 now the drive pin 8 in the optimal position so that the bezel 4 is exactly in the new basic position.
