Definitions
- the invention relates to a screwdriver blade or a screwdriver bit with a wear-resistant working tip.
- the blades or inserts including the tip are made from alloyed steels, the hardness values of which are between 62 and 65 HRC. It is accepted that the blade or the insert has a relatively high brittleness. In practice it has been shown that such blades or inserts are at risk of breakage. Fractures occur when the load suddenly rises, as is the case, for example, when the screw head touches down during the screwing process when a screw is being screwed in. Therefore, to reduce the risk of breakage with mechanical screwing tools, it is necessary to provide a torque limit.
- the screwdriver blades or screwdriver bits made of hardened steel not only have the disadvantage that they are at risk of breakage, but also that their wear resistance does not meet the desired requirements. Depending on the degree of wear of the working tip, which increases over time, the risk of damage to the screw and the difficulty increases that the required torque on the screw can be effective without excessive ejection forces.
- the invention has for its object to provide a screwdriver blade or a screwdriver bit that is less prone to breakage, but nevertheless has a working tip with increased wear resistance and high dimensional accuracy.
- a screwdriver blade or a screwdriver bit of the type mentioned at the outset in that the blade or the bit consists of a tough steel with a hardness value of 45 to 60 HRC and the working tip has a TiN or TiC coating of 1, 5 to 5.0 microns thick.
- the hardness value should preferably be 50 to 58 HRC and the thickness of the coating should be 2.0 to 3.5 ⁇ m.
- the coating is applied to a rough surface.
- a rough surface can be produced, for example, by sandblasting. Since the layer thickness is only a few ⁇ m thick, a corresponding roughness is also obtained on the surface of the coating.
- the rough surface has the advantage that the tips and edges of the rough surface are pressed into the surfaces of the screw slots when the screwing force is effective, so that the undesired axially acting ejection forces are reduced due to the improved friction, without the screw being at risk of notching due to this roughness .
- the screwdriver shown in Figure 1 consists of a screwdriver handle 1 and a cast-in blade 2, the working tip 3 is designed for Phillips screws.
- the screwdriver bits according to FIGS. 2 and 3 are intended for mechanical screwing tools. They have a hexagon 4.5, with which they form fit into a machine tool, but also in tool handles are insertable, and thus integrally connected blades 6.7, the working tip 8.9 are designed for slotted screws or Phillips screws.
- the blade 2 of the screwdriver according to FIG. 1 and the entire screwdriver insert according to FIGS. 2, 3 consist of tough steel with a hardness value of in particular 50 to 58 HRC.
- the working tips 3, 8, 9 have a coating in the range 10, 11, 12 made of TiN or TiC in a thickness of in particular 2.0 to 3.5 ⁇ m. Sandblasting the work tip 3, 8, 9 before coating causes the tip to have a rough surface.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- einen Handschraubendreher für Kreuzschlitzschrauben in Seitenansicht,
- Fig. 2
- einen Schraubendrehereinsatz für Schlitzschrauben in Seitenansicht und
