Ein solches Kunststoffprofil läßt sich mit den bekannten Fertigungstechniken und Vorrichtungen einstückig herstellen, sodaß eine Montage der rutschhemmenden Abdeckstreifen wie bei den bekannten Metallprofilen entsprechend der DE-U 8 021 191 entfällt. Dadurch wird auch die Gefahr des Loslösens dieser als Sicherheitselemente dienenden Abdeckstreifen vermieden. Der mittig in Längsrichtung im Abdeckstreifen eingelegte farbige Einlegestreifen ist vertieft angeordnet und von einem klarsichtigen Kunststoffstreifen überdeckt. Mit diesem farbigen Einlegestreifen wird ein optisch eindeutig erkennbares Sicherheitselement geschaffen, welches beispielsweise durch Zweifarbigkeit in Verbindung mit den angrenzenden Profilstegen erhöhte Aufmerksamkeit erregt und sicher am rutschhemmenden Abdeckstreifen gehalten ist.Such a plastic profile can be produced in one piece with the known manufacturing techniques and devices, so that an assembly of the anti-slip cover strips as in the known metal profiles according to DE-U 8 021 191 is not necessary. Auf einer rohen, beispielsweise aus Beton gegossenen Stufe 2 ist im Kantenbereich die insgesamt mit der Ziffer 1 bezeichnete Profilleiste aus Kunststoff mit einem Z-förmigen Querschnitt eingesetzt, auf welche von oben eine keramische Platte 3 aufgebracht und gegen welche in vertikaler Richtung ebenfalls eine keramische Platte 4 herangeführt ist. Die Leiste 1 und die Platten 3,4 sind bei dieser Ausführungsart einer Stufe im sogenannten Dünnbettverfahren verlegt, wobei zur Befestigung an der Stufe eine relativ dünne Kontaktschicht 5 aus Mörtel oder einem entsprechenden Kleber aufgebracht ist. In die obere Schicht ist der Befestigungsschenkel 11 der Leiste 1 eingebracht. - Profile for edging ceramic tiles on a step or the like, comprising a rail (1), which has a Z-shaped cross-section and includes a thin securing shank (11) with openings (111) provided therein, an end shank (16) extending at right angles to said securing flank, and a tread shank (12) which extends at right angles to said end shank, a slip-proof cover strip (14) of plastics material being provided on the upper surface of said tread shank, characterised in that a soft-set resilient cover strip (14) is shaped to fit over the upper surface of the tread shank (12) of the rail (1), which is integrally formed from hard plastics material, a coloured insert strip (6) being disposed in a sunken manner in said cover strip substantially centrally when viewed with respect to the longitudinal direction and being covered by a transparent plastics material strip (15), and in that the cover strip (14) has a lip (141), which protrudes downwardly beyond the tread shank (12) of the rail (1) and acts in a direction towards the rail (1) with initial tension.
