Description

The invention relates to drainage material for the drainage of on weather-related or other reasons, the access of water or other liquid media exposed steps applied coatings, such as plates of ceramic material or concrete materials, art or natural stone slabs, etc.

Today exposed to the weather influences stairs in the outdoor area are - as well as balconies or terraces - usually occupied on the exposed tops, ie the treads and the subsequent vertical bump surfaces on the raw concrete stairs applied plates, ceramic tiles or natural or artificial stone slabs. Wetness entering through the joints of the tile coverings is dewatered by the screed into an underlying layer of drainage material which drains the passing liquid via the drainage channels of the drainage material. For the drainage of the surfaces of balconies or terraces, sheet or plate-shaped drainage materials are used, in which the drainage channels are formed in a carrier material made of either closed-cell foam plastic or intrinsically stiff profiled plastic films, on which a liquid-permeable cover sheet is applied, over which in the screed or in the screed moisture penetrated into the drainage channels can be removed. Such drainage material based on foam plastic is for example in the DE 34 14 249 A1 respectively. DE 440 3 875 C2 described. Drainage material with a carrier material on the basis of profiled plastic films on the other hand from the DE 490 4 901 C2 known. In this known drainage materials are used as water-permeable covers so-called nonwovens, which can only liquids, ie usually water, but not solid additives from the applied in flowable condition screed pass. When occupying stair treads with plate coverings, the known sheet or plate-shaped drainage materials have hitherto been used. For each step, these known drainage materials must be tailored in accordance with the shape and size of the horizontal appearance or vertical abutting surface of the web or plate-shaped known drainage material, this blank must also be made so that when applying the blanks on the stairs provided in the blanks associated with the blanks Drainage channels with the provided in the bump surfaces of the step blanks associated drainage channels are aligned to ensure that passing through the joints of the coverings water is actually discharged through the aligned drainage channels of the steps of the entire staircase. It is clear that the correct cutting of the drainage materials for the surfaces of the steps and the separate application of the individual blanks is a laborious and critical to the correct installation process.

The invention has for its object to provide a drainage material for the drainage of tile coverings on stairs, which allows a simpler and more time-saving installation process on the surfaces of the stairs and in which problems with respect to the correct orientation of the drainage channels of successive carrier material sections relative to each other avoided are.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a drainage material which has a system of at least partially interconnected recesses for removal of fluid on the side facing zutretender, applied under the coverings on the surfaces of the stages support material on its facing the top facing at least partially with a liquid-permeable cover web is provided, wherein the carrier has two in the intended laying position on a staircase along a parallel to formed between a horizontal tread surface and a subsequent vertical bump surface step edge of the stairs straight line substantially at right angles to each other folded integrally interconnected carrier material sections which in their Surface size are dimensioned so that the assigned in the intended laying position of the tread surface first section in his measured parallel to the step edge width substantially the length of the step edge and the second section extending at right angles to the first section also corresponds in its width substantially to the length of the step edge and in its height substantially to the vertical height of the impact surface adjoining the step surface of the step to be paved. With the thus formed drainage material so in each case an occurrence and a subsequent bumping surface of steps of a rough concrete stairs can be occupied after the two surfaces respectively assigned sections - if necessary - previously trimmed according to the shape and size of the associated surfaces.

In this case, the configuration is expediently made such that the carrier material section assigned to the horizontal tread surface of a step is attached substantially at right angles to the upper edge of the carrier material section associated with the vertical tread surface of the same step. The laying process of the carrier material is then carried out in succession at the same stage.

Alternatively, that of the horizontal tread surface of a step assigned carrier material section is attached substantially perpendicular to the lower edge of the vertical bump surface of the adjoining in the upward direction next step carrier material section. This carrier material is then laid so that it is applied simultaneously on the tread surface of a step and the bumping surface of the subsequent next higher step in the upward direction.

The horizontal depth of the first carrier material section assigned to the tread surface, which is measured at right angles to the step edge, can be dimensioned essentially corresponding to the depth of the tread surface of the associated step.

Alternatively, the horizontal depth of the first carrier material section, which is measured at right angles to the step edge, can have a smaller depth extension than the tread surface.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the system of at least partially interconnected recesses for the removal of fluid to be coated has elongate drainage channels running parallel to each other and at right angles to the step edge, the support material sections assigned to the step surface and the adjoining impact surface of the step Drainage channels are then suitably aligned with each other so that they merge into one another.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the carrier material has a perforated by molding the parallel elongated channels plastic carrier film, on which the liquid-permeable cover sheet is applied on the coating side.

If a profiled plastic film is used as the carrier material for the liquid-permeable cover web, the carrier material sections of which are integrally connected to one another along the edge line, its production can be carried out in such a way that an initially common planar blank of the - known per se - drainage material with a carrier material profiled plastic film is cut or punched out and then the individual surface portions along the common edge line, which are bent substantially perpendicular to each other position. In this case, it is expedient if this bending step takes place along the edge line at elevated temperature of the plastic film material, ie either immediately after the hot profiling of the originally planar plastic film or by subsequently applied heat energy to the cooled film, so as to ensure that the rectangular orientation of the surface portions to each other after cooling of the plastic film substrate is fixed. The complete profiling of the plastic film or blanks of the plastic film in thermoforming tools is possible.

Alternatively, the carrier material may be formed by sections of foam plastic provided with the molded-in parallel channels, on which the liquid-permeable covering web is applied.

The design is then expediently made so that the carrier material sections produced as separate parts are connected to one another along the edges meeting on the edge line by a fabric or film strip applied adhesively on the edge regions.

The liquid-permeable covering web is preferably formed by a non-woven material, which thus allows liquid components of the subsequently applied for the occupation of the plate coverings screed screed as well as later penetrate through the joints of the coverings in the screed penetrating water into the drainage channels.

Alternatively, the liquid-permeable cover web of a for the passage of not yet set or cured screed mortar, in this case a so-called Einkorn- or Monokornmörtel, permeable, a reinforcement of the cured or hardened mortar forming mesh fabric made of high-strength fibers or filaments become.

As a mesh fabric is used in a Faii that also used in the known for the Fiächendrainierung in the drainage materials high-strength mesh fabric of glass fibers or filaments.

Alternatively, the carrier material can also be formed by elongate strip-like foam plastic carrier elements which are produced separately for each carrier material section and are adhesively applied at a parallel spacing on the underside of the cover web, which are connected by the cover web to form a unit, the ends facing each other being in both Surface portions arranged aligned with each other on the cover sheet Carrier elements are shaped so that they allow the orthogonal alignment of the two carrier material sections relative to each other. Ie. the mutually facing ends of the support elements are cut miter, so to speak.

When laying the tile coverings on a screed applied from the drainage material, the liquid-permeable cover web advantageously covers both backing material sections over the entire area.

If, on the other hand, single grain grout is used for the application of the tile covering on the tread surface, while the tile coverings to be applied to the tipping face are to be bonded to the substrate via an adhesive mortar, the design may also be such that the liquid permeable cover web is the second, bump tread a substrate step associated carrier material portion substantially over the entire surface and additionally covers a subsequent to the crease line of the sections strip-shaped edge region of the first carrier material portion. By this strip-shaped edge region of the first carrier material section overlapping strip-shaped portion of the cover is achieved that when applying the einkorn mortar on the horizontal surface of the drainage material no mortar can penetrate into the vertical drainage channels in the abutting surface associated carrier material section.

The partial region of the first carrier material section adjoining the strip-shaped edge region not covered by the liquid-permeable cover layer can in this case also be omitted altogether, ie the first carrier material section covers the tread surface only in the previously mentioned manner in the front edge region. The then in the adjoining the edge region of the drainage taking, between the surface of the suitably sealed against ingress of water tread surface and the applied coating covering layer of Einkornmörtel then establishes the bond between the covering and step. When applying the coating, a thin layer of a contact slurry and then applied on the underside of subsequently applied to the smooth-coated Einkorn mortar layer pads also apply a thin layer of a contact slurry before application of the not yet hardened einkorn mortar layer. This then creates a heavy-duty Bonding of the coverings with the single-grain mortar layer and - via these - with the shell-step, whereby the introduction of a reinforcement in the mortar layer can be dispensable.

When laying tile coverings on stairs, it may be useful if in the areas where drainage material is provided between the shell stair step and the covering, in addition, a grid-like reinforcement material in the adhering the coverings with the carrier material bonding mortar or adhesive layers is embedded so as to counteract cracking in the record slip.

The reinforcing material is preferably formed by connected to a lattice structure metallic wires. Here, surface-passivated, for example galvanized steel wires or wires made of corrosion-resistant steel are preferably used.

In FIG. 1 an exemplary embodiment of a drainage material according to the invention designated therein is shown, which has a profiled carrier material 12 produced from an originally planar, thin, rigid plastic film, on the upper side of which, after the plastic film has been formed into the carrier material 12 shown, a FIG. 1 shown above the substrate 12 - liquid and gas-permeable cover 14 is adhesively applied, which - in the case shown consists of a nonwoven material, which is thus permeable to water or other liquids, but retains solid components in the manner of a filter mat.

In which the carrier material 12 forming plastic film are formed by appropriate hot forming parallel drainage channels 20 extending. In addition, the carrier material is divided by edges along a transverse to the longitudinal extent of the drainage channels 20 extending bending or crease line in substantially mutually perpendicular carrier material sections 12a and 12b. The portion 12a is sized according to the size and area of the tread 24a of a drainage material 10 to be drained step 24 or slightly larger, while the portion 12b has an area size that is equal to or slightly greater than that of the vertical Stirntrittfläche 24b of associated step 24.

The support material 12 provided with the cover sheet 14 as a firmly adhering support is then inserted in the in FIG. 2 and 3 illustrated manner on the optionally still provided with an example spreadable seal 26 upper landing surface 24a or Stirntrittfläche 24b adhesively applied, in the illustrated case by a thin applied to the seal layer of adhesive 22 on which the not covered with the cover 14 underside of the carrier material 12 is pressed. On the carrier material facing away Outside of the cover sheet 14 consisting of nonwoven material, a layer 28 of an adhesive mortar is applied to which then the plate-like coverings 30 a and 30 b assigned to the tread surface 24 a or impact tread surface 24 b of the step 24 - z. B. in the form of ceramic tiles - are pressed. After setting of the adhesive mortar 28, the covering plates 30a and 30b are then applied firmly adhering to the drainage material 10, which in turn is firmly adhered to the step 24. It is now clear that rainwater passing through the joints in the plate-shaped coverings 30a as well as the setting of the adhesive mortar moisture is discharged via the drainage channels 20. During the drainage of a staircase composed of a plurality of steps 24, care must be taken that the drainage material 10 is applied and laid at all successive steps so that the drainage channels 20 in the carrier material 12 of the steps 24 are aligned with one another. In the case of different surface sizes or geometric shapes of the entrance or bump surfaces of the stair steps 24, the carrier material sections 12a and 12b, as well as the cover web 14 applied to them, must be correspondingly trimmed.

It is still to be noted that in the in the Figures 1 and 2 shown drainage material 10 which consists of a profiled plastic film carrier material 12 is shown only schematically. In practice, profiled plastic films can be used for this carrier material 12, in which slot-like passage openings are provided in the lateral boundary walls of the drainage channels, which additionally provide the regions lying between the drainage channels 20 shown in the drawings as additional drainage channels. Such drainage materials in planar web or plate-shaped form are described by the applicant z. B. under the name Watec 4E or AquaDrain FE offered.

In the FIGS. 4 and 5 an application of the drainage material according to the invention is illustrated, in which the cover sheet 14 applied to the substrate 12 is formed by a high-strength glass mesh in which the openings formed between the glass fiber strands forming the grid are so large that not only liquid and gaseous , but also flowable pasty or small-grained solids can pass through. That is, on the top of the drainage material applied, flowable mortar penetrates through the mesh fabric 14, also in the open-top drainage channels 20 and fills them completely, the mesh fabric after setting or curing of the mortar then in the solid mortar layer in the transition region to the substrate form fit anchored and also takes over a reinforcement function for the mortar layer. It is clear that the mortar 28 used in this case must be permeable to liquid in the solid or set state in order to ensure the dewatering function. In the illustrated application, therefore, a so-called Einkorn- or monocorn mortar is used, which has this property to a sufficient extent.

In FIG. 4 It can be seen that in the, the drainage channels 20 laterally delimiting conversion sections of the support material 12 slit-like passage opening 34 are provided so that over the hardened mortar layer 28 in the drainage channels 20 guided water via the passage openings 34 through the side walls pass through and then additionally can be removed between the drainage channels 20 for draining intermediate areas intermediate.

Since the Einkornmörtel used - are applied with relatively large layer thickness is in the FIGS. 4 and 5 additionally shown in the lying above the drainage material 10 area of the set mortar layer, a reinforcement 36 made of galvanized wire or stainless steel wire, which counteracts cracks in the mortar and thus the applied on the mortar plate covering.

FIGS. 6 and 7 illustrates an application of the drainage material according to the invention, in which the carrier material portion 12a formed by the profiled, provided with drainage channels 20 plastic film, covered with the liquid and gas-permeable cover material 14 of nonwoven material carrier material 12, the tread surface 24a of the associated step 24 only in a relative narrow edge near area covered. The larger, subsequent to the section 12a part of the tread surface 24a - to the adjacent bump surface 24b of the next step 24 - is not covered by the drainage material 10. In this area, the drainage, ie the removal of water on the side of the inlet occurs through a Layer of a Einkorn- or Monokornmörtel 28a with coarser grain size of the surcharge splits of z. B. 5-8 mm, which has a sufficient water permeability for even under the most unfavorable circumstances (eg heavy rainfall) abzuzuführendem water. In the near-edge region of the step, the accumulated water then passes into the drainage channels 20 of the carrier material 12 and is largely dissipated via the drainage channels in the carrier material sections 12a and 12b. The fleece material 14 covering the portion 12a of the carrier material 12 serves less in this area as a means of permeating the water than preventing penetration of einkornmörtel 28a into the drainage channels 20 in the carrier material portion 12b when it is applied to the tread 24a. The layer of Einkornmörtels 28a is guided over the leading edge of the carrier material portion 12b of the substrate 12 around in the space between the substrate portion 12b and the associated, the bump surface 24b covering plate 30b of the plate covering. In this area, a Monokornmörtel 28b with lower grain size of the split surcharge of z. B. 2-5 mm are used, which - with increased load capacity - has a slightly lower water permeability than the Einkornmörtel 28a used on the tread surface. In this area, the removal of the water to be seized takes place predominantly via the drainage material 10, ie the drainage channels 20 in the carrier material section 12b. Since all plate coverings 30a and 30b are adhesively bonded and connected to the steps via an integrally connected layer of monobore mortar 28a, 28b, in this case a separate reinforcement of the single-grain or mono-grain mortar layer can be dispensed with.

,It is clear that in order to ensure the solid bond between the lining plates 30a and 30b with the Rohbautreppe before application of the monograin mortar in the still-plastic state on the Rohbautreppe the adhesion between the Rohbautreppe and the Monokornmörtel layer increasing contact sludge 40 is applied. Similarly, when laying the facing plate 30a or 30b prior to their application to the peeled surfaces of the single grain grout layers 28a, 28b, a thin layer of a contact grout 42 is provided as the adhesion promoter. .

In the FIGS. 8 to 10 is a further embodiment of a trained in the manner of the invention drainage material 10 'and its arrangement shown on the steps to be drained 24, which corresponds to the in Connection with the FIGS. 1 to 3 described drainage material 10 is similar. Deviating from the drainage material 10, however, the drainage material section 12a of the support material 12 'made of a plastic film provided with profiling with drainage channels 20 does not close at the upper edge of the support material section 12b of the same stair step 24 assigned to the tread 24a of a step Stair step but at the bottom of the bump surface 24b of the next higher step 24 at. When laying the drainage material 10 'while measured in the direction of the step depth depth extension of the carrier material portions 12a in the in the Figures 9 and 10 illustrated manner selected so that it in the intended laying position by the amount of strength of the free upper edge of the downstream on the respectively subsequent carrier material portion 12b on the edge of the step precedes and thereby covers the open mouths of the drainage channels. In addition, an adhesive tape 46 can also be applied in the covering region of the carrier material sections 12a, 12b, which also closes the free openings in the edge of the respective carrier material section 12a against the penetration of the adhesive layer forming the adhesive layer 28 for the plate coverings 30a, 30b to be applied.

It can be seen that within the scope of the inventive concept, modifications to the developments of the embodiments described above can be realized. Thus, instead of the described perforated plastic film, the carrier material can also be made of sheet-like or plate-shaped closed-cell foam plastic. Also, the application of individual rib-shaped spaced-apart support elements of foam plastic in parallel side arrangement on the cover sheet comes into question. In special cases, in which the plate coverings to be laid on the tread surface are dewatered over a liquid-permeable Einkornmörtel while the stirntrittflächenseitigen plates are to be applied by a thin layer of thin-bed mortar on the drainage material 10, which consists of nonwoven material cover also on the vertical Trägermaterial- Section 12b are provided over the entire surface and a subsequent strip-shaped region of the horizontal carrier material portion 12a. This narrow provided on the section 12a portion of the cover 14 then prevents the application of Einkornmörtels penetration of the mortar into the drainage channels 20 formed in section 12b.
