Abstract

In a strip steel punch tool with a supporting plate (1), wherein strip steel punch cutters (3) projecting beyond the surface (8) of the supporting plate (1) are held in slots (2) and profiled strips (7, 7') made of resilient material, preferably rubber, cellular rubber, rubber cork or the like, are fastened to the supporting plate (1) in parallel and next to the said cutters, these profiled strips protruding above the cutting edge (6) of the strip steel punch cutters (3) with their punching material contact face (9), it is proposed, in order to punch clean edges especially in large numbers, that the profiled strip (7, 7') be constructed such that, when loaded vertically, its punching material contact face (9) is displaced towards the strip steel punch cutter (3). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a steel band punching tool with a carrier plate in which band steel punching knives protruding in slots above the surface of the carrier plate are attached to the carrier plate in parallel with these profile strips of elastic material, which protrude beyond the cutting edge of the band steel punching knives with a punching material contact surface.

Such a steel strip punching tool is described in French patent FR-A-1 364 357. The profile strips shown there (Figure 3, Part 5: Description p.3, 1st column, Z.14-22) have a square cross section.

In FIGS. 2, 4, FR-A-1 364 357 also shows the arrangement of two profile strips (8) which are also made of rubber and which are on the side of a band embossing tool (4) made of hard plastic and having a rounded tip Support plate (2) are glued on. On the counter plate (6) a profile tape (9) is glued, which forms with its triangular cross section the counter profile to the profile strips (8) and has a longitudinal groove (10) in which the compression of the profile strips (8) during the punching process Embossing tool tip (4) can be added. Both profile strips (8) and the profile strip (9) are designed in their geometrical configuration so that they should prevent cracks or fissures on the surface of the cardboard to be embossed in the area of the embossing during the embossing process. Accordingly, the special, i.e. profile strips (8) and profile strips (9) adapted to the respective embossing shape are used. Due to the special geometric configuration of the profile strips for only one purpose, this increases the manufacturing costs of such parts and limits their universal applicability regardless of the embossing or cutting die provided on the counterplate. In the aforementioned French patent specification, it is expressly pointed out that, due to the selected cross-sectional shape of the profiled strip (9), the formation of cracks at the embossing points is to be prevented. (P.3, 2nd column, Z.35-41). This training can not prevent the breakpoints between the individual punch cuts. They must therefore be designed to be relatively wide in order to enable safe handling of the punched sheet without disintegration.

The problem of crack formation also arises in the device known from US-A-3 288 007, in which the cutting knife tips are in the rest position of the profile strips, i.e. if the profile strips are not compressed, protrude beyond the contact surfaces of the profile strips. The cutting device shown there is attached to the circumference of a cylindrical roller, the profile strips and the tips of the cutting knives only protruding slightly above the surface of the cylindrical roller. A pressure roller is provided here as the counter plate, which also has circumferential recesses in which channel-like counter pressure elements made of a likewise elastomeric plastic are arranged. (Compare Figures 1 and 3). During the rolling process of the roll having the cutting knife on the counterpressure roller, the cardboard material to be cut is first pressed against the counterpressure roller by the leading profile strip (17) and thus held; when rolling further, the tip of the cutting knife (parts (4) comes to rest on the punching material before engagement of the trailing profile strip (17). The build-up of tension within the punching material to be cut is also caused here, so that the interface is torn prematurely and thus frayed is caused.

In contrast to the present application, the inclination of the surface of the profile strips (12, 12ʹ) facing the cutting knife (4) shown in US Pat. No. 3,288,007 cannot cause the movement tendency of the punching material contact surfaces (17, 17ʹ).

Due to the forced guidance of the profile strips (12, 12ʹ) during the compression process between the legs of the cutting knife holder (11, 11ʹ) and especially because of the guidance along the inclined, adjacent surfaces of the parts (11, 12), despite the free spaces (13, 13ʹ) Between the cutting knife (4) and the profile strip (12, 12ʹ) in the contact surface area (17), a movement of the contact surfaces (17, 17 befind) located on both sides of the cutting knife (4), mainly oriented away from the cutting knife (4), takes place, so that this also results in the formation of tension better cutting of the punching material takes place on both sides of the cut edges, with the disadvantages mentioned.

In order to punch out several benefits from a sheet of paper or cardboard in several punching stages at the same time, it is known to glue profile strips made of foam rubber parallel to one another from a strip steel punching tool known from DE-PC-31 35 980, by means of which the individual benefits for further transport are punched in next to the band steel punching knives to lift the entire sheet of paper or cardboard over the cutting edges of the band steel punching knife. So that the punched parts do not fall out, they are still connected to each other via breakpoints, ie there are recesses in the band steel punching tools, so that the individual benefits are still connected to one another by material residues at these points. If the benefits are not properly lifted out of the band steel punching knife shapes, the paper sheets in their entirety can no longer be transported to the next punching station and the production flow stops.

It is also known to arrange spring-operated ejectors between the band steel punching knives. The manufacturing effort is great here.

The known profile strips have a square cross section for easy manufacture and attachment. When punching, in particular when embossing or creasing matrices are also arranged on the counterplate, the individual panels deform and before the punching is done, the paper or cardboard is torn. Especially if the cardboard has a cover layer on it, it tends to tear and there are very unsightly frayed punched edges, especially with colored surfaces. The breakpoints must have relatively large cross-sectional dimensions so that they do not tear through.

In avoiding the disadvantages described, the object of the present invention is to improve a steel strip punching tool of the type mentioned at the outset so that punching with clean edges without fraying is achieved, even if stamping dies are used. Furthermore, breakpoints should be made possible with a material cross-section that is as small as possible, so that the benefits can be easily removed later.

To achieve this object, the invention provides that the profile strip is designed so that a vertical Load moves its punching material contact surface against the band steel punch knife and that at least the side surface of the profile strip facing the band steel punch knife is inclined towards the cutting edge of the band steel punch knife and / or that a cross-sectional area of the elastic profile strip facing the band steel punch knife has a greater hardness than the remaining cross section.

As a result of this tendency to move, the punched edges of the panels are stretched against one another, so that the risk of premature tearing out before complete punching is substantially reduced and thus a better edge quality is achieved. At the same time, the tensile load in the breakpoints is significantly reduced, so that the required cross-sectional areas of the breakpoints can be kept small and so that only little disruptive small tear-off areas remain later when completely separated.

With a vertical load, the punching material contact surface is laterally displaced. Preferably, an angle of inclination from the vertical of approximately 10 ° can be provided.

The effect can be further enhanced by the fact that it is trained harder Cross-sectional area is a region approximately parallel to the side surface of the profile strip, this cross-sectional area running at an angle to the base surface when an inclination angle is arranged and tilts when the punching process is subjected to a vertical load while increasing the angle of inclination.

Another possibility for achieving this tilting movement during the punching process is to design the profile strip as a hollow profile. The inner walls of the hollow profile, which run approximately perpendicular to the carrier plate, can be inclined towards the cutting edge of the band steel punching knife, so that the profile strip can have approximately a parallelogram cross-section and, when loaded, a parallel displacement of the punching material contact surface occurs towards the cutting edge, as in the folding movement of a parallelogram-like one Quadrilateral joints.

Furthermore, the edge of the profile strip facing away from the band steel punching knife can be greatly rounded, so that a constant transition of the surface pressure is achieved and thus the pressing points in the edge area are largely avoided, but at least become much less visible.

In a further development of the invention, the profile strip can be composed of at least two strips, the strip closer to the band steel punching knife having the greater hardness having. E.g. can be composed of foam rubber strips of different hardness.

To increase the fatigue strength of the hollow profiles used, the transitions in the interior of the hollow profile can be rounded.

In the following description of the various exemplary embodiments, the same reference symbols are used for all corresponding parts. The strip steel punching tool partially shown in cross section in FIG. 1 has a carrier plate 1 made of plywood, with slots 2 in which strip steel punching knives 3 are inserted. The back 4 of the band steel punching knife 3 is supported on a hardened steel plate 5, so that when the opposite cutting edge 6 is loaded, it cannot evade.

Die Profilstreifen 7, 7ʹ sind möglichst nahe den Bandstahlstanzmessern 3 auf der Oberfläche 8 der Trägerplatte 1, vorzugsweise aufgeklebt.3 profile strips 7, 7 'are arranged on both sides of the band steel punching knives, the punching material contact surface 9 extending parallel to the surface 8 of the carrier plate 1 projecting beyond the cutting edge 6. The profile strips 7, 7ʹ are preferably glued as close as possible to the band steel punching knives 3 on the surface 8 of the carrier plate 1.

During the punching process, the paper or cardboard sheet to be processed is placed on the stamping material contact surface 9, then a counterplate, not shown, is pressed in a known manner against the cutting edge 6, the profile strips 7, 7 'being compressed until the cardboard or paper is punched through. Then the counter plate is lifted off again. Due to the elasticity of the profile strips 7, 7 ', the punched-out, still interconnected benefits are raised above the cutting edge 6. The entire sheet of paper or cardboard can then be transported to a next processing station without fear of jamming with the band steel punching knives 3.

In order to avoid premature tearing at the punching point due to tensile forces in the box, the profile strips 7, 7ʹ have a special shape. Various exemplary embodiments are shown in FIGS. 2 to 4. The embodiment of Figure 2 is a full profile made of foam rubber or cork rubber. The not shown Band steel punch knife 3 facing side surface 10 extends at an angle of inclination 11, which can be varied depending on the application. An angle of approximately 10 ° -15 ° has proven to be particularly advantageous for processing the usual cartons for folding boxes. By arranging a curve 12 or a corresponding beveling of the upper edge away from the band steel punching knife 3, the formation of visible imprints on the cardboard is reduced, in particular on sensitive surfaces.

The exemplary embodiment in FIG. 3 is a hollow profile with an approximately trapezoidal cross section. The corners 13 of the interior 14 are rounded to increase the fatigue strength. In order to increase the displacement effect in the direction of the band steel punching knife 3, the corners 13ʹ and 13 "can be rounded with a larger radius, as can be seen from FIG. 3.

To further increase the tendency to tilt, the profile strip 7 can be formed from cross-sectional areas 15, 15ʹ with rubber, sponge rubber or the like with different hardness, the cross-sectional area 15 running parallel to the side surface 10 and forming it being made harder (over 40 Shore). The course of the separation of the areas 15, 15ʹ is shown in dashed lines in the embodiment of Figures 3 and 4. The profile 3 can for example be done by gluing two profiled strips 15, 15,.

To further increase the tendency to tilt, as shown in FIG. 4, the side surface 17 opposite the side surface 10 can be designed to run in parallel (indicated by dashed lines).

In the further exemplary embodiment of an elastic profile strip shown in FIG. 5, a V-recess 18 is provided to form the side surface 10 which extends at an inclination angle 11 of approximately 10 ° -15 °, which has a basic angle of 90 °, the transition with a Rounding 20 can be provided to increase the fatigue strength.

To reduce the remaining cross section 15ʹ 7 recesses 21 can be provided in the support area of the profile strip, the hardness in the remaining cross section 15ʹ can be largely influenced by their cross-sectional dimensions.
