Definitions
- the invention relates to a stackable bottle crate according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Bottle crates are known in a wide variety of designs.
- the bottle crates in common, however, is such a design of the side walls that, in addition to the protective function assumed by the side walls for the bottles during transport and the formation of more or less large handle openings, there are also sufficiently wide and high areas of the side walls available on which large labels for the designation of origin and / or the content of the bottles included in the box are applied.
- a bottle crate of the generic type (DE-U-83 35 216)
- support strips are formed in the center on the long sides of the bottle crate as hollow profiles in order to give the crate stability.
- the openings of the bottle crate on the long sides and the narrow sides are divided by transverse and vertical bars for the purpose of stabilizing the bottle crate.
- This means that the size of the viewing opening in this bottle crate is limited by additional transverse and vertical crosspieces, these stiffening crosspieces being primarily formed in the lower half of the crate, as a result of which labels on the bottle belly are concealed from the outside by these stiffening crosspieces.
- the viewing openings are divided by transverse strips for the purpose of stabilizing the crate, which impairs the display function of a bottle crate.
- the object of the invention is to provide a bottle crate with a display function which allows the size of the viewing openings to be maximized and which is nevertheless sufficiently sturdy and rigid and also allows good stackability.
- the invention is characterized in that the box side walls are formed with viewing openings which are continuously open from the bottom bar to the handle bar at the upper box edge.
- the crate itself has a direct display function, since the design of the crate itself makes the bottles and thus both the neck label and the label on the bottle belly clearly visible to the consumer.
- the crate enables the pressure-related labeling that is important for the consumer solely through the bottles in the crate. Additional labels on the bottle crate are therefore not necessary per se, since the bottle itself is fully included for product-related labeling as a result of this design of the bottle crate.
- the maximization in the size of the viewing openings is made possible by the fact that the openings are delimited on both sides by support profiles and / or corner support profiles, which are either formed as closed hollow profiles or as profile walls, which extend over the entire area Support profiles extending beads are provided. This contributes to a substantial stabilization of the bottle crate even with very large viewing openings.
- the formation of the support strips and corner support profiles as self-contained hollow profiles or bead-like profile walls also enables the corner support profiles and the support strips to be advanced into the interior of the box and to form support surfaces for the bottles accommodated in the box.
- the bottles are held firmly within the crate, and this hold prevents deformations which occur locally when the gripping of a fully loaded bottle crate is caused by simultaneous pivoting of the bottles in one direction. This measure also helps to stabilize a bottle crate with large viewing openings.
- the box can and should also be provided with labels and prints for optimal advertising.
- This is possible on the handle bar and the bottom bar as well as on the comparatively wide corner support profiles, which form an integral rigid box frame with each other.
- Handle bar, Baseboard and corner support profiles thus frame the viewing window (s) in conjunction with support strips.
- the invention is particularly advantageously applicable to bottle crates for large bottles which, due to the bottle size, already have relatively large labels on the bottles.
- compartment division inside the casate is expediently hidden from the outside in that in the area of the box side walls, i.e. vertical support strips are present in the area of the viewing window and thus in the plane of the box side walls.
- the support strips cover the compartment division to the outside or cover the gap between the bottles and can also be used advantageously as support surfaces for holding the bottles.
- the support strips are expediently arranged at the bottle gaps and cover the bottles only slightly without covering the labels on the bottle belly and on the bottle neck to the outside.
- the support strips connect the box floor to the handle strip and thus help stabilize the box frame in conjunction with the corner support profiles.
- the support strips can also contribute to the stiffening of the box in an expedient manner that they are attached to the overall frame due to the one-piece connection to the compartment division and the one-piece connection of the compartment division on the grid floor.
- the support strips can be formed to increase the rigidity by walls which are shaped in the manner of a corrugated sheet, in particular in the manner of a trapezoidal sheet.
- Trapezoidal sheet in this context means that the bellies or troughs are designed in the manner of a trapezoid.
- This embodiment is characterized by stability and nevertheless allows a quick, simple and thorough cleaning of soiled because, in the case of beads or of corrugated sheet or trapezoidal sheet-like shapes, unlike ribbed boxes, it does not form pockets with an angle equal to or smaller 90 degrees comes in, in which dirt collects and is difficult to remove even with intensive cleaning.
- the viewing windows are expediently designed in the manner of embrasures. This is achieved in a simple manner in that the opposite side walls between adjacent corner support profiles and support strips are arranged so obliquely to one another that loopholes-like openings are formed between the profiles and the strips, which belong to the viewing window and the view of the consumer practically from the outside Align visible labels on the bottles. This training also contributes to the display function of the box.
- the design of the bottom bar and the handle bar with an inverted U-shaped cross section whereby according to an expedient development, the bottom bar and the handle bar can be stiffened by bridges or ribs bridging by the U-legs.
- the open U-shape of the handle bar also makes it possible to insert an intermediate piece from below, which, as a result of a rounding on its underside, makes it easier to carry the bottle case.
- the grip strip is provided with a circumferential rib on both the upper and its lower edge, which is expediently rounded outwards. These ribs delimit between them an outwardly protected labeling field, the slipping arrangement of the labeling field largely preventing the labels from slipping during labeling.
- the circumferential bottom bar which is integral with the bottom grille of the box, is raised relative to the bottom grid and, together with the handle bar, is arranged offset to the outside.
- the invention achieves maximum utilization of the side walls of the box as a viewing window, since the stability of the box is achieved by the combination of the corner support profiles with the upper grip bar and the lower bottom bar, in particular in connection with vertical support bars.
- the viewing window areas can thus be very large, and the size is limited solely by the fact that the bottles accommodated in the interior of the box have to be prevented from falling out, for example by support strips, cross strips and the like.
- the support strips which are arranged in a bottle gap and advantageously contribute in the sense of a stable stacking of the boxes, since in the case of offset stacking, the load of the boxes above is transferred via the support strips into the side walls of the ones below Boxes are initiated or intercepted.
- so-called stacking grooves are formed on the bottom of the box, which are located below the support strips and into which the side wall of the lower box is immersed when the stack is formed.
- the invention thus achieves, with simple and coordinated measures, maximization of the viewing opening with sufficient, in particular, great stability of the crate, the bottles being able to be prevented from falling out despite the large viewing openings and in particular also ensuring good stackability even under load.
- ribbing is not necessary, rather the box can be made essentially smooth-walled with good use of material, so that the box can also be cleaned easily and simply.
- the bottle crate 1 shown in the drawing has a single, continuously open viewing opening 2 in each of its four side walls, which serves as a display for the bottles 3 accommodated in the bottle crate, as best shown in FIG. 1. From this it can also be seen that the opening 2 is bordered laterally by the support profiles 4 forming the corners of the bottle crate 1 and above and below by a transversely extending grip strip 5 at the upper edge of the crate and a bottom strip 6 at the lower edge of the crate.
- Handle bar 5 and bottom bar 6 are formed all around the four side walls of the box 1 and only connected to one another at the four corners by the corner support profiles 4. Except for the corner support profiles 4 and the handle bar and bottom bar, the rest of the side wall area can be used for the display function.
- separate support strips 7 are provided both for reasons of stiffening, but in particular for reasons of holding and to secure the bottles 3 accommodated in the box 1 against falling out in the region of the open side walls, which, as shown in FIG. 1, are aligned with or in The height of the bottle gaps are arranged and because of their narrow design they only cover the bottles accommodated in box 1 by a small amount, the amount of coverage being determined solely by the support function for the bottles in order to give the bottles a firm hold and prevent them from falling out to prevent the display opening.
- the height of the support strips 7 is essentially measured from the support function for holding the bottles 3 accommodated in the box 1 and is approximately half the bottle height in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- FIG. 1 shows quite clearly, due to the large viewing opening 2, the bottles 3 accommodated in the box 1 are largely freely visible from the outside, so that the bottle neck label and the label on the bottle belly can be perceived by the consumer immediately.
- These areas, which are essential for determining the bottle contents, are neither covered by the box frame nor by the support strips 7, which, moreover, also serve as a panel for the compartment walls of the compartment division which are absolutely necessary inside the box, and which are thus hidden from the outside by the panels.
- the handle bar 5 forming the upper edge of the box has a height which enables the bottle case to be gripped comfortably for transport purposes.
- the height of the bottom bar 6 is dimensioned such that essentially only the bottle bottom is hidden to the outside, but without covering the bottle belly. In practice, the grip bar and bottom bar height are only a few centimeters, whereby the choice of height depends not least on the beverage manufacturer if he wants to place additional information and advertising on the bottom bar or handle bar.
- the U-legs 10 and 11 of the handle bar 5 can be bridged or connected in the interior of the handle bar by webs or ribs, which contribute to stiffening the box frame, but are not visible from the outside. These webs or ribs are not shown in the drawing.
- the cross-sectional design of the handle bar 5 offers the further advantage that handle bars can be pinched or snapped in from below, which can be attached to the desired location at the consumer's choice and make carrying the bottle crates easier.
- ribs 12 projecting outwards on the upper and lower edges are formed on the outside of the grip bar 5, which delimit a labeling field thereby moved inwards between them.
- These ribs 12 have the advantage that the label does not slip off when labeling animals, and also protect the label applied to the handle bar 5 from damage during transport and when stacking the box.
- the ribs 5, which are expediently rounded on the outside contribute to stiffening the frame.
- the ribs are expediently formed all the way around with the grip strip.
- the bottom bar 6 is raised in relation to the bottom grille denoted by 13 and is offset from the outside.
- the on the corner arranged support profiles 4 integrally connected to the bottom bar 6 handle bar 5 sits substantially congruent above the bottom bar 6. This allows the bottom grille 13 to dip into the handle bar 5 when stacked, so that one essential for lateral support in the stack Overlapping boxes arranged one above the other is possible (with direct stacking). If necessary, a different floor construction can also be selected. This design ensures, however, that the forces are absorbed essentially via the bottom bar and the handle bar and thus via the sturdy corner support profiles 4. Likewise advantageous for stacking, in particular offset stacking, is the design of the floor grid shown schematically in FIG. 1.
- stacking grooves 13b are provided in the bottom of the box below the support strips 7 by vertically extending webs 13a of the floor grid, which extend parallel to the side walls of the box over the width and length of the box.
- the upper portions of the side walls of the lower box engage in these grooves, so that the force is dissipated in the stack via the support strips directly onto the side walls of the lower box or boxes.
- the support strips 7 can form part of the compartment division designated 14, which is composed of compartment walls 15 which are integrally connected to one another at the nodes.
- the compartment walls 15 of the compartment division like the support strips 7, are expediently formed in one piece with the floor grille.
- the molded on the bottom bar 6 support strips 7 are thus connected to the box frame to a stable and rigid structure via the compartment walls 15 via the floor grid.
- part of the compartment walls can be dimensioned to a limited extent, in particular if the spacing between adjacent bottles is small due to the predetermined arrangement of the bottles in the compartment division. In this case, these compartment walls 15 extend at least in sections essentially only over the bottom part of the bottles, but not over the bottle belly.
- the support strips 7 are formed in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 5 as well as the corner support profiles 4 as a self-contained hollow profile, so that smooth outer walls are formed, in which the risk of contamination is lower and which facilitate cleaning.
- the training as a hollow profile contributes to stiffening the box frame.
- both the corner support profiles 4 and the support bar 7 are pulled so far inwards that the inner side walls of the support profiles and support bars simultaneously form support surfaces for the bottles accommodated in the box at 16 and 17 in FIG. 2.
- the cross-sectional shape of the support strips 7 in the region of the broad side of the box is essentially triangular, the triangular tip being inside in the example shown.
- the side surfaces 18b and 18c serve here as support surfaces and thus as part of the compartment division for holding the bottles.
- the side surface 18a forms, together with the outer surfaces of the handle bar and the bottom bar and the support profiles 4, the outer side wall of the box, the side surfaces of these parts expediently i.w. are flush.
- the support strips 7 on the narrow side of the box are modified in that they have half the cross-sectional shape of the support strip on the width of the box, since in the bottle arrangement according to FIG. 2 these support strips only have to support or secure one bottle.
- the corner support profiles 4 are each designed as a hollow profile and, as shown in FIG. 2, as a comparatively wide hollow profile which extends far into the interior of the box and at the same time contributes to supporting the bottles accommodated in the compartment.
- This broad training as a corner profile does justice to the supporting function of the profiles within the box frame and also contributes to improving the cooling during the molding process of the box.
- the corner support profiles 4 can also be used for sticking on or otherwise affixing labels and advertising information.
- the corner profiles connect the all-round handle and base strips to form a stable frame that is sufficiently rigid, especially for large bottles.
- the handle and bottom bar are designed as narrow strips. The distance between the handle and bottom bar is dimensioned such that in particular the bottle belly and the bottle neck of the bottles, which are primarily used for bottle labeling, are exposed for the display function when they are accommodated in the box.
- FIG. 5 and 7 show a further embodiment of a bottle crate, which is distinguished from the previously described embodiment, in particular by support strips 7, which extend continuously between the base strip 6 and the grip strip 5.
- three continuous support strips 7 are provided on the broad side, which, in connection with the two corner support profiles 4, limit a total of four through-openings that are continuous from top to bottom, which are advantageously designed in the manner of embrasures and allow a view of essentially the entire bottle from the outside, which is arranged inside the box in front of the side wall.
- the grooves or depressions marked with 13b are visible, which are useful for the stackability and the transfer of the forces via the support strips 7 in the lower box.
- Fig. 6 shows a section through the box in plan view to illustrate the hollow profile formation of the corner profiles and support strips. This section also shows that the support surfaces of these corner profiles and the support strips are adapted according to the bottles to be accommodated. As a result, the corner profiles and support strips provided to increase the rigidity also ensure that the bottles accommodated in the crate are held very well against shaking and falling out.
- FIG. 7 a further embodiment of a box is described which has four viewing openings on each long side according to FIG. 7 and one viewing opening on each narrow side according to FIG. 8, the viewing opening extending continuously between the bottom bar 6 and the handle bar 5.
- the peculiarity of this embodiment is that the corner support profiles 4 are stiffened by beads 19 extending in the vertical direction. As can be seen from FIGS. 7 and 8, these beads 19 run continuously between the upper and lower edge of the box. The cross-sectional shape of these beads 19 best results from FIG. 9.
- the support strips 7 of the box have a trapezoidal sheet shape, as is also best seen in FIG. 9.
- Fig. 9 also shows the connection of the support strips 7 to a compartment wall 15 of the compartment division 14.
- Trapezoidal sheet-like shape of the support strips 7 means according to Fig. That each support strip 7 is formed comparable to the shape of a saddle by a wall with a trapezoidal cross-section, the trapezoid however the basis is missing.
- This design of the support strips 7 in conjunction with the beaded design of the corner support profiles 4 results in a very stable structure of the box.
- the vertical edges 20 and 21 of the corner support profiles 4 and the support strips 7 are pulled inwards so that they limit corresponding contact surfaces for the bottles to be accommodated.

Description
- Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht der Schmalseite des Kastens von Fig. 1,
