Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a rolling mill for the production of rolled strip, with work rolls, which are optionally supported on support rolls or on support rolls and intermediate support rolls, the work rolls and / or the support rolls and / or the intermediate rolls being arranged axially displaceably in the roll stand and having an essentially curved contour running over the entire length of the bale.
A rolling mill of conventional design is known from EP-A 091 540, in which the curved contour is composed essentially of a convex and a concave region and the bale contours of the mutually supporting and interacting rolls are in a certain relative axial position of the rolls with respect to one another, and complement each other by axial displacement of the rollers. This is not only intended to improve the uniformity of the pressure distribution over the contact length of two adjacent rolls, but also to increase the continuous mechanical influence on the shape of the roll gap.
The object of the present invention is a further improvement and simplification of this known rolling mill mentioned above, in particular also with regard to a uniform pressure distribution over the contact length of the rolls and a design and maintenance of a specific press roll gap.
This object is achieved in that the contours of all rollers in the initial state or unloaded state are designed such that the axial course of the sum of the effective roll barrel diameters takes a course deviating from a constant course in each relatively changed axial position of the rolls, and one for Roll center symmetrical mathematical function follows.
Through this inventive design of the roller contours, all influences that occur during operation of the rolling mill, such as thermals, roll deflection, flattening, wear, etc., can be very advantageous from the outset. H. are taken into account in the unloaded state essentially so that they are in the loaded state, d. H. be balanced in the operation of the rolling mill. In order to compensate for the above-mentioned influences in the operation of the rolling mill, only a slight additional axial displacement of individual rolls or pairs of rolls against one another is required, if at all. The roller contours designed according to the invention are roller contours that do not complement one another in the initial state; but that only in the loaded state, d. H. in the operation of the rolling mill, in particular in the area of the strip almost completely. In this way, an optimal pressure distribution over the entire contact length of the rolls is achieved while maintaining a predetermined roll gap.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the axial course of the sum of the effective roll bale diameters is composed in sections of various mathematical functions. In this case, for example, the sum of the roll bale diameters in a first section can follow the course of a parabolic curve, while the second middle section is designed as a sine curve and the third section is in turn a mirror image of the first section as a parabolic curve.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the contour of the rolls, in particular the work rolls, consists of a weakly convex and a strongly concave curved part, the course of which is composed of a polynomial function and an exponential function. This roll shape is particularly suitable for compensating for the effects of widely differing temperature conditions or temperature fluctuations on the rolls and the roll gap.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the pressure rollers are axially displaceable only on one side of the rolling stock level. In this way, a profile of the press roll gap superimposed on the height profile is avoided and a particularly uniform distribution of the stress over the contact length of the work rolls is achieved.

In Fig. 1, two work rolls (10, 11) of a rolling mill are shown, the contours of which consist of a weakly convex part (12) and a strongly concavely curved part (13). The course of these contours is composed of a polynomial function (convex part 12) and an exponential function (concave part 13). The upper work roll (10) is axially shifted from the center position relative to the lower work roll (11) by a predetermined amount (+ 100 mm) axially to the right ben. In this position, the work rolls (10, 11) correspond to a pair of conventionally ground rolls with a parabolic crown, and the roll band (14) has a biconcave shape corresponding to the roll gap (15).
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the upper work roll (10) is shifted axially to the left by the same amount (-100 mm) as in FIG. 1 compared to the lower work roll (11), but from the central position. Since the work rolls in Figures 1 and 2 shown in the drawing are identical, they have been given the same reference numerals. In the position of the work rolls (10, 11) shown in FIG. 2, a roll gap (16) is formed which gives the roll band (17) an essentially rectangular cross-sectional shape with diagonally opposite, slightly rounded outer edges. By axially shifting the upper work roll (10) relative to the lower work roll (11) from the right outer position shown in FIG. 1 (v = + 100 mm) to the left outer position shown in FIG. 2 (v = - 100 mm) can be very can be advantageously adjusted and maintained with a continuously variable concave to rectangular roll gap with corresponding roll strip cross-sections. It is understandable that the positions of the work rolls relative to one another shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 can also be achieved by an axial displacement of the lower work roll (11) relative to the upper work roll (10) located above it. The work rolls (10, 11) can also be supported by appropriately designed support rolls (not shown in the drawing) and, if necessary, intermediate rolls. The main advantage of these contoured work rolls (10, 11), however, is that they are particularly suitable for compensating for the effects of different temperature conditions. For cold rolls, if the roll shape is only determined by the mechanically applied surface contour, a crowning is required to compensate for the elastic deformations of the roll set, as is realized by the position of the work rolls (10, 11) shown in FIG. 1. With increasing roller temperature, however, a temperature distribution arises which runs flat in the central area of the bale and drops towards the end of the bale. Due to the different thermal expansion, however, the temperature profile corresponds to a thermal crowning of the roller shape shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. The required mechanically determined crowning of the rollers is reduced accordingly. At the same time, however, compensation for the changed roll diameter profile in the region of the bale ends is required. Both effects can be adjusted to the extreme point (v = - 100) in the size dependent on the respective temperature level by the axial displacement of the upper work roll (10) shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 relative to the lower work roll (11).
In addition, it can make sense to move v! and v @ to be chosen differently in terms of amount (e.g. v!> v @). With a suitable choice of the roller contours, the axial displacement of one of the rollers can be dispensed with entirely.
In the Quinto rolling mill shown in Fig. 4 with the two work rolls (26, 27) and backup rolls (28, 29) and (30) are also only, as in the rolling mill of FIG. 3, above the level of Rolling strip (31) located rollers (26), (28) and (29) axially displaceable. However, the arrangement of the upper support rollers (28, 29) is such that they come to lie next to each other when viewed in the direction of the force flow (
Incidentally, here too, in the same way as in the four-high rolling mill shown in FIG. 3, the roll gap shape is influenced by all roll diameter functions. However, the penetration of the rollers is reduced by the direction cosine of the force flow compared to the rollers according to FIG. 3. Decisive for the roll gap here is again the sum effect mentioned above in connection with the description of FIG. 3. Since the two support rollers (28, 29) have the same passage through the roll gap in the case of a symmetrical arrangement, in contrast to the rolling mill according to FIG. 3, a symmetrical influence on the roll gap shape can be achieved with the same roll shapes. The particular advantages of the rolling mills shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 over the previously known rolling mills are that a s-shaped course of the roll gap superimposed on the height profile is avoided in a simple manner and a more uniform course of the stress on the work rolls, in particular via the agglomerations of the Rolling is achieved.
If necessary, it can also be useful, as shown in FIG. 5, for a rolling mill with six rolls to have a mirror image or symmetrical arrangement of the working rolls (35, 36) and the support rolls (37) interacting with the work rolls in relation to the plane of the rolling band (34) , 38) or (39, 30). In this rolling mill, too, the roll contours are designed in accordance with the invention, and in each case there is only one axial displacement of one of the rolls, in particular work rolls, with respect to the other rolls on one side, i. H. provided on the upper or lower side of the rolled strip (34).
Moreover, as shown in FIG. 6, the arrangement of the rolls in a rolling mill with six rolls can also be carried out very advantageously in such a way that the work roll (41) below the roll band (42) is supported only by a support roll (43). while the work roll (44) located above the roll belt (42) is supported via an intermediate roll (45) and two support rolls (46, 47) interacting with the intermediate roll (45).
In addition, any number of other variants are possible, in particular also with regard to the arrangement of a plurality of backup rolls and intermediate rolls on one side or on both sides of the roll gap, with the same advantages as those described in connection with the rolling mills shown in the drawing figures. The same also applies to any arrangement in multi-roll stands. There is also the possibility of pivoting the work rolls of the rolling mill according to the invention in the roll plane relative to one another, or of arranging the axes of the respectively interacting roll pair at an angle to one another transversely to the roll plane. However, a corresponding contouring of the rollers according to the invention is also important here, in such a way that the rollers complement one another in the loaded state and not in the unloaded state.
